I've been to Lums Pond and loved it there. I hope to get back there. I was scheduled for Frontierland and Nashville but fractured my back and had to cancel. I loved Fort Wilderness and will go back there again! It was one of my favorite. Nice video.
Only been through the west coast, so I really appreciate the information on the eastern side. Oh, and can't wait for the bad ones!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thanks for sharing we always enjoy your videos. We will definitely be checking out Red Gate Farms and perhaps Nashville Shores. Although when we visit family in Nashville we usually stay at one of the COE campgrounds around Percy Priest Lake...quiet and beautiful. See you on the road.
Agree with you on Lums Pond. In fact, you should check out Trapp Pond. You will have the same experience. A plus though is the kayak trails through the cypress swamp. Great times!!
We've been to a couple of the ones on your list. We will go back to Lums Pond during the season, we didn't see anything last Sunday, no time. We agree about Frontier Town. We think the place you are staying next summer will make your list. We loved it out there. Great video, thanks for sharing !!
Platte River State Park, Louisville, Nebraska. Campground is just a few years old. All sites are paved with full hookups and 20/30/50. Located between Lincoln and Omaha.
You're not kidding on Fort Wilderness pricing. I've been camping there with my parents as a kid since it was just the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Hotel, and the campground. A lot has changed since then, but nothing more than the prices to stay.
Every other year we go down and stay a week or 2. The last 3 times we said maybe we'll skip it next time. No suck luck. After all, the Fort it is the reason I added the golf cart to our fleet. And now the toyhauler since January. Our first trip with our new 5er was from NJ to the Fort as our shakedown. Trip was flawless!
Great video on the reviews of the parks you visited. I stayed at a few nice parks as a child in Michigan. One in Rifle River. Marquette or Marlette Michigan. They weren’t bad parks at all the bathrooms were clean. But I like the parks you picked Izzy and MJ. Nice picks. They look nice. Thank you for the video!
We love both Frontier town and Fort Wilderness… got a great deal from frontier town for Black Friday had to use certain dates but people should watch for their deals! We do Fort Wilderness as winter getaway for two weeks to is it’s worth it. If I can suggest a place for you try Assateague national campground no hookups but we love it actually going next week! Love your videos thank you!
Never too old for Disney :) you know we love it , but yes it is expensive. We have booked 2 weeks at Christmas next year, the price tag is ridiculous. We booked Lums park , based on your review, for spring. You really need to check out Ives Run and 7 points at Raystown lake. Both a few hours from you and COE land
The only park we have stayed in from your list was Fort Wilderness. We have been there twice and don't expect to go again. The last time was in 2021 and we paid $133-143 per night. The prices have gone up since then. They have priced us out of that park.
We wish you a Merry Christmas! There are many different ways people travel. Some go to a RV park and never leave till time to go home. I tend to be in the group who use the RV park as a place to park while I go explore the area. Some places we stay are all about the location (close to family or people we want to visit) not the amenities of the park. Then as you are finding out many RV parks in the East and the North East/New England are verry basic anyway.
I have on that you can add to the "do not stay there list. #1 on my list is Newport RV Park, 181 Bradford Ave, Portsmouth, RI 02871. They messed up our reservation then lied about it. Then changed the paperwork so we had to move out of the site we were into the site next to us then had to move again for the last 4 days. They tried to double charge my credit card. Finley was able to get into a great place we had stayed before. Worden Pond Family Campground, 416 Wordens Pond Rd #4425, Wakefield, RI 02879, is a basic campground but is great because it is only 2 miles from people we were visiting.

We definitely loved it though despite the cost. 👍
