Izzy, I totally know how painfull that is, its like standing on the pointed end of a railroad spike. 20 years ago i went in for a plantarfasciotomy, best thing i ever did, only downside you cant go barefoot anymore. Hopefully it heals fast. Safe travels guys
OMG, the cold! I'm sitting here in Florida watching your video and sensing/remembering that cold, going to get my arctic parka! Pizza looked good! And those Amish buns look delish! Great driving the Mustang in snow, Izzy, they aren't very winter weather friendly. When you change toads to your Tahoe, I'm sure that will be a much better vehicle for winter driving. Kudos to Newmar for fixing your slide gratis! I'm all too familiar with plantar fasciitis, Izzy, had it myself a while back due to (I'm guessing) over doing the treadmill, not fun, very painful, hopefully it goes away soon and you feel better.
I just deducted/realized from what you said in your video that Izzy and I grew up in the same town, Carmine is a friend of mine, we lived on the same street, and his food is the best! Greg M.
I always had heel Spurs before a bought my first pair of vionics shoes. I now have 20 pair of vionics boots shoes and slippers. Haven't had a heel spur since
Nice video thank you I was just out there in Dubois PA hunting Glad you had your motorhome repaired It will be a lot warmer when you go to Florida after the holidays
I feel for you on the planter fasciitis. I had mine cut our many years ago. Very very painful. Dr said it was the 3rd largest scar build up he has seen. It would heal then rip again and repeat. So it never returned to normal. Glad yall made it back safe.
We live in Northern Utah and your video is making me feel good about our lack of snow so far. We have mustangs and spent way too many trips driving them in unexpected snow conditions. Not fun. Hopefully someday you make it to our small town where we also put up flags on Main Street honoring our high school seniors. It gets well below zero in the winter. Thanks for the Beddy’s tip and do you have a link to your slide mats?
We lived in the sub-zero temps in Idaho. What we had to do was get one of those really big tanks that sit outside and insulate the underbody some days, it got down to -20 degrees, but with a couple extra electric heaters, we managed. Have fun, guys, and Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
I dealt with plantar fasciitis for several years, twice getting cortisone shots in my heal a year apart. The doctor had me buy arch supports for my shoes, boots. I have not had pain since I starting using the supports in every shoe or boot I wear. I even have them in slip on shoes that I wear in the house. They are made by Spenco. Try them. I hope they work as well for you.
I just bought Beddy’s, I have a corner bed so I knew I just had to get this. I’m still renovating it but I can’t wait to start my journey. Love u guys.
Years ago when we had a RV I developed plantar fasciitis in both 👣 feet. I believe it was from squatting on my tip toes to get in all the outside bins. So painful. Long time healing. Get well soon.
Great video as usual. Sorry to hear about Izzy’s plantar fasciitis. I’ve had it for several years on and off. Always rolling my foot on a bottle of frozen water and doing stretches. Hope you’ll be okay soon. Take care and see you again soon
I live in Columbus ( home of Mike Pence and Tony Stewart) Indiana. Interstate 70 and above usually get lots more snow than south of I 70. I feel Indiana does a pretty good job of snow plowing.
❤ you guys! Where did you get the nice flat RV roller floor protectors? Also, wondering...have you thought about using a little jeep for the tow vehicle? Isn't the mustang rear wheel drive? Good job in all that snow Izzy, your right about the kids now days, lol they don't know much about "difficult situations" that's for sure. 😊 Safe travels❤
Hi. I am from Indiana originally grew up from the 1950's and moved away in 1976 and Nappanee in some years has been known for pot plants in the past, so I have heard in the past.
We are winter camping for the first time in our new to us RV this weekend. The lowest temps will only be 25. So balmy compared to your trip. We will be hiking and sightseeing during the daytime. We plan on seeing the Christmas lights at Woolaroc in Osage County, OK. It is a pretty cool place.
In our area of Wisconsin the plow trucks lay down salt brine on areas like intersections, curves and hills early if it’s supposed to snow after work hours. Saves some overtime.
We use Liquified too. What I do is after I dump, I add water to the tank and add Liquified so it treats whatever water is in the tank. I find it works better that way.
Been dealing with this ridiculous fascitis in my right foot (right side rear) for over two years. Invest in expensive shoes with large padded heels. Like a Hoka shoe. I couldn't walk without them. And wear good sandals when indoors!
Great video. Maybe not your norm, but good to know that Nelly did well with the cold weather. Izzy, hope your foot feels better soon! Thanks for taking a turn with an injury and giving MJ a break. 😉
Wow! Painful stuff! But I love a good snow storm! Glad Nellie made it thru surgery with flying colors, and you two got home safely! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Betting that the Mustang would have had no trouble in the snow, if you had four snow tires on it. Add a limited slip differential, and RWD will be perfectly happy in snow.
At 17:48 of video, Izzy talks about rv slide pads to protect inside floor. I cannot locate link nor in your Amazon store. Can you you assist? Thank you
When I read the title I said, "Poor MJ What did she do now?" lol While living in small towns in OH, if you were on a side road, you were last to get the roads cleared It was very good practice for driving in the snow 😊
Hi. Izzy and MJ, Like your videos. I have a Thor freedom, elite RV. 24 foot I’m having a problem pushing my slide out. It’s sort of stuck. I called my dealer and they gave me an appointment of January 15. The problem is. I’m going to Disney after New Year’s. Do you think Shawn Walters would take a look at it if I drove up to Indiana? Oh how from New Jersey. Stay well thanks for the videos Dennis.
Izzy and MJ! Wow! You both were out in the cold walking. Glad you were bundled up. Glad you got the Rv all fixed the slides work. Glad you made it back to the Rv ok! But I knew you would. I trust Izzy’s driving. Yours to MJ! That pizza looked good so did the buns and the cinnamon roll. Anything homemade is good especially if it’s made by the Amish. I heard they do make excellent homemade food. Back in 2008 out here in Las Vegas we had 8 inches of snow driving out here in that treacherous because we don’t have snow plows out here either we have to go all the way to Tonopah Nevada to go get snow plows. Can’t wait to see about that competition with the pizza places out here in Vegas. See if they air it on TV out here on a cooking show or something. I don’t know if they wear it or not. Thank you for this great video. is the MJ you always do great with your videos You know that.
Man Izzy, I have it too in my left foot. I feel for you. The only thing that has helped has been changing my shoes. I tried the prescription drugs from my Doc. Those helped some but nothing like the shoes. I’m not saying these brands will do it for you, but the Brooks Dyad have helped a ton. I’m on my third pair. During winter and spring I switch to Keen Targhee 2. Let me tell you, these boots are a dream. Even better than the Brooks. When I’m inside I try to always have supportive slippers on. Regardless, I hope you find a good solution!
When we lived in Alaska. We would camp whenever we wanted to. So yes, we camped all seasons. We still do. Full times 2 yrs plus. Time sure does fly when you are having fun. We also have our Grandson living with us for the last 2 yrs. We Homeschool him. So we can pick up and go when we need to move on. If we can camp in a pop up camper in the winter time. Anyone can if you have taken winter survival courses. I don’t Recommend doing that if you haven’t had survival courses cause you do have to know how to survive in the cold weather and we never camped out if it was below zero.
I forgot to say that I drove a T-Bird in the winter in Alaska. We didn’t have studded tires either. Had to make a running start to get up our hill. We had 2 hills in our yard. Plus we also had few other fancy cars . My mother in law used to call them. Not practical cars to drive in Alaska, she would tell me. Lol 😂
Carmine’s in jersey is no a bad slice, think you will enjoy it. Been a while since I was there. Yes Indiana does not know what salt is, we won’t send them any from Michigan lol
Newmar Service Center the only place to go Best service out there !! Newmar owner since 2005 I just got back from Newmar for factory training work for my local Newmar Dealer now in Maryland !!! I am on my 4th Newmar Now
"Certain burn marks..." please expand on that. If I dont learn how to judge a pizza by the burn marks, I am going to end up like Sheldon (Big Bang) with that darn tune stuck in his head.
MJ and Izzie, I recall you saying in one of your videos this past summer that Matt’s “Liquified” was going to be available in Walmarts. Since then, I look for it every time I’m in a Walmart (which is quite frequently) and I have yet to find it. I would prefer not to order it online, so I am wondering if you could give us an update as to when and ‘if’ the Walmart chain will carry it in the near future?
I asked Matt and he said it’s not been announced yet or confirmed… But hypothetically speaking if it does happen, it will be sometime in April you’ll see see it.
I warned you....remember I asked what in the world would make you come to northern IN in Dec?? 🤣 Having had plantar fasciitis I know that morning pain of putting weight on your heal getting out of bed. Do you have the little spikey ball to roll your foot on....helped me a lot.
How did you get through without having your tankless water heater freezing? Two years ago, in March in So Lake Taho the temp went down to 16 degrees and blew ours. Didn't have water until we got back to the Northeast. Replaced it at Gerber RV up by you. Cross country with no running water. Do you have a video on that topic? Like always, love going on Journeys with you all.
I have found pizza from Italian family places can vary based upon what part of italy the family is from. Most ot the really good ones have thin crust, aka New York style, as opposed to thick crust or Chicago style pizza. I often wished I could get the sauce from one of our favorite places on a thick crust, but they don't sell it. I actually enjoy camping in snow and even cold.
RV in the cold? These things have wheels!!! lol Seriously though, if you have to, then just prepare. Love you guys but thumbnail/description was click-baity: was seriously worried that something had happened on your trip. Plantar fasciitis sucks and is painful but want theme of video. Was on edge of my seat when you guys were driving a Mustang through that snow!!! Keep it up!
I see you staying in your RV. We are new class A owner so maybe stupid question here. What precautions so you take in the freezing weather? I assume tank heaters and furnance on etc but what about the lines? So you leave water dripping like we do in Texas in our homes in times like that?
My wife won’t drive in the snow so I have to take her to work 😆 even though she grew up in Colorado. It doesn’t bother me just have to go slow and pay attention I drove in it in Colorado plus delivered mail in it while we lived in Oregon for 35 years it’s funny now we are in Oklahoma & when it rains you’d think there was 10 inches of snow by the way people drive around here🤦♂️
idk if they are nation wide but they advertise all the time down here "The Good Feet Store" and their arch supports, supposed to be game changers..just passing that much along.
Plantar fasciitis is horrible. I was able to use these foot inserts in my shoes to relieve it. And Dubois IS FRENCH, but we hillbillies in western PA call it DU BOYS. No idea why that is.
The second I get even a hint of fasciitis pain I start my exercises/stretches. Makes a huge difference!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity. Much appreciated!
Izzy,
I totally know how painfull that is, its like standing on the pointed end of a railroad spike.

I always had heel Spurs before a bought my first pair of vionics shoes. I now have 20 pair of vionics boots shoes and slippers. Haven't had a heel spur since

Nice video thank you I was just out there in Dubois PA hunting

Keep everything warm.

I'm in Indiana. Love going up there.
So do we!
Nice update, P.S. i love snow ☃☃
Thanks! 😊
I suffered with plantar fasciitis for years. Finally found relief with shoes that have high arches (Dansko). Do not walk around barefooted .
Thanks for sharing!
That injury is very painful i used to get it a lot I’m a retired Letter Carrier and walked many miles for a lot of years
Yep not fun.

Been building a garage for our Revel so we are stuck at home. Anxious to head to FL to get warm. SC cold, so not Indiana cold. lol
Yea big difference lol

Hey, thanks. We have it too, but I didn’t know when to use it.
My suggestion for plantar fasciitis, get a shot from an Orthopedic DR. It worked immediately for me! It was such a relief!
Appreciate the advice!
That northern Indiana whitestuff has a special name in the truck driver vocabulary... safe travels guys!
lol thanks for watching
Izzy and Mj love your videos. Love traveling with you across the US. You're a fun and good looking couple. Blessings! 🎄
Thank you! We appreciate the kind words and the support.

Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄
Sorry Izzy about the plantar fasciitis. Nice to hear that it wasn’t MJ this time! I sure don’t niss that kind of cold. Or snow.
Yes not MJ for once. The cold and snow was a little more than we bargained for lol
Hopefully you’ll heal quickly Izzy !!

Cortisone shots are very helpful to help your foot heal.
