Hey Kevin, curious if you’ve ever seen, or stocked, the Akubra down under outback hat. It has a telescoping crown much like a gambler I was lucky enough to find one in XL from a local Australian Shop here in Toronto, but these things are in limited supply. and Akubra is not selling them anymore
Akubra is #1 for me.Three camp drafts and one Squatter in my collection. My Akubra hats are from before the family sold the company, heard they’ve had a noticeable drop in quality the last couple years.🤷♂️
I have bought a coober pedy and campdraft in the last 11 months (its 10/24) both have been absolutely perfect. Fit/finish/size/etc. The coober pedy feels like they made it just for me, since I took it out of the box. The CD I ordered last March, from David Morgan Hats, It didnt hit the US till September. I didnt mind waiting since its heavy and summertime. I got it end September. The fit on the CD was more round whereas the CP was more long oval. So I've had to work it alittle. But Ive been wearing resistol, bailey and stetson since 1990, these Akubras are the shizzle for a working/outdoor hat.
@@jwgbmp40 Good to hear the quality is still great, had a tear drop put into one of my Campdrafts, a Tom Mix and a Kentucky Keanu crease in the other two. The Squatter is unlined but thick and wide brimmed, left it open crown . A couple Stetsons and a MacGill in the line up too. Cheers, happy hat wearing!😎
@davidcallan7844 cool ! What is a ky keenau? I creased my CD similiar to my CP, but its not the same. I love the cattleman crease but it doesnt look right on the 5.5" crown.

Late 50’s Stetson Nobel in a brownish grey. The band is just black though
