I think the key caps are from the ak84 bulid the bulid with the squishy key caps. The stock key caps look similar and have the same stems
hmmmmmmm. I heard a voice crack, ngl
I recommend learning csgo movement (KZ) . Probably one of the best tests for a keyboard.
fun fact: hipiyo was actually global elite while he was in highschool
someone confirm this?
Yes he was

how? the ranking sysyem is so broken i cant play anything other than faceit lol
ah yes.... the coveted orange foam and pcb... im so glad they did their research
"HOTSWAPPABLE" pcb
lmao
@@hgjgjfjfmd i like how they acted like it was the best thing in the world when they said hotswappable. kinda acted like hardly any keyboards had it.
It's painfully obvious that they just slapped some 100t keycaps on their already existing stock
At least they had a foam dampener but damn, all of that was already invented. They didn't contribute anything new to the OEM case other than neat keycaps.
@desert789 they do, sold out super fast
Marketing~ for 130 tho. Thats pretty cheap for a limited edition merch/ keyboard. It can also be considered premium for a budget keyboard. Tbh that sums it up. Video was like 8 minutes too Long to say that.
@@Kurry34 are you on crack
@@Kurry34 tbh its just a gk61 with a 100t theme, not that worth it considering you can get this stuff from china for around 30$
This video is such a meme. Love it. ❤️

Yes, definitely E
Cheap board with meme looks. I’m shocked people buy stuff like this and put up with paying the “gamer tax”.

Good of you to actually put a more “neutral” review and not saying pure garbage, by saying it’s better than the big brand name keyboards. Sometimes we enthusiasts bash too much on great keyboards (or any stuff in general) for the “masses” but not the “premium” we are looking for.
The big brand names have mostly just gone downhill over time. Either they tried new stuff with their software that somehow broke compatibility with the old stuff that's held up for 7+ years (though if you install a version that works with they keyboard and they still support, you can probably make one hell of a macro pad) or they tried too hard to gimmick, rather than focusing on making a good product.
when you finally find a valid comment that actually knows what they are talking about......
@@DeisFortuna Sometimes that’s business. The product is already there and people are buying so why bother put more cost for very little gains? For us consumers, we think about what our gains are. Reminds me of micro motives and macro behavior.
@@hrd_beats7109 I feel like Hipyo here says something that most enthusiasts will not admit or most likely just ignore (I’m also partial for the blame here). What we all actually hope is that even the “big brands” up their standard (even just a little bit) so it’ll push the other “small or less famous brands” to also up their game, getting more competition in the industry, and eventually give more value for us as consumers.
it's a $50 keyboard sold for $135 because a brand name. that's pretty garbage

3:08 The slogan is because of the design showing a lower quality map of the earth... at least I think it is. It's not camo. And... because it's "Higround" "Highground" Birds eye view, nevermind lol.
Even with that context, the slogan itself still makes no sense.
@@DeltaInsanity It seems like it's broken English. Just some gamer shortcuts with the packaging saying "Yo! Thanks for copping this keyboard" or something like that, the slogan being "[it] Look[s] Better Up Here"
im very late to the video but I think it is in reference to the face that is where the monitor is and the slogan is in reference to where the monitor is on the keyboard. I think that its in reference to dress well test well. or in this case look cool play cool.

@@oblonggong oh I'm a bit stopid
I have a huge issue with the keycap art. They went with the 3 main colors you would use to highlight legends... black, white, and red. If they use white. So they couldnt stick with one legend color or else you wouldnt see some.
But the /? key you cant even see the legend print. Same for the keys used for [ ] ; ' they all look like trash. You legit cant evens see the legends and they just said "fuck it that looks fine".
They should have used O R A N G E.
Bro are you still looking at your keyboard while typing and gaming?
and the font for the legend makes my soul hurt.
On a keyboard made for gamers, if they do replace the keycaps, there's a pretty good chance they'll be OEM profile, and the North facing isn't a problem. It's also not unlikely that they'll want shine-through caps, in which case the north facing is a benefit.
The only place north facing is a problem is for fairly thick cherry profile caps (GMK), so if you're doing a keyboard with full RGB, you've got a decision to make. Worse RGB for shine-through, or incompatibility with a small percentage of keycaps.
I might be biased, since I'm not really a fan of cherry profile anyway, but if I was designing a full RGB board, I'd probably go north facing, too. If not RGB, then I go south facing for GMK compatibility.
I eventually gave up on shine-through caps, because all the caps had north legends, and all the decent boards had south LEDs. So instead, I went for really pretty opaque caps with spherical tops and big friendly center-aligned legends, like a nice PBT DSA set with a silver plate for bright outlines, and a deeper clone of MG Monster because it's gorgeous and the deep cups feel great. The lighting incompatibility basically sent me down a rabbit hole for ergonomics instead.
fr i have a north facing keyboard with gateron optical yellows and pretty standard pbt cherry caps, i was worried i would get interference, but nope
Enthusiast going off on a gamer keyboard feels like screaming at a brick wall

pin this pls
Hipyo, could you sound test different materials keycaps and cases?
I wonder how keycaps would sound if they were made of porcelain or wood, or coated with leathery material under it.
I also wonder how a wooden case would sound with a "soft wood" (wood that feels like it's wet inside).
They probably couldn't just make it south facing since the case is just an rk68 and the hot swap sockets and mounting holes interfere with the case standoffs. They'd have to get custom case molds and didn't go the extra step. Source: Made my own pcb and had to go north facing :3
Then they shouldn't have claimed "Engineered," but oh well, marketing at its best.
@@crazyapple2101 engineering is the art of the compromise not the superlative.
Omg im going to cry it is an rk68 even the keycap / switch puller is the same.
The Glarses sfx was a nice touch.
Wtfffff Ur subs are literally blowing up. Congrats. 🎊🎉🎈🍾
5:57 that keycap deffo matches the spacebar on my epomaker GK68X, so if someone know about those ones its probs the same
4:16 Hipyo: "maybe I need to get back into *voice cracks* tHaT
Love it, politely cut-throat as always.
In a way I think this keyboard is still a win, it has enthusiast aspects but it’s not out the box enthusiast grade. I think 100t is a small enough company that all the noise around what this is won’t go unnoticed to them. Their next drop is really important.
They are not a small company lmao they're underdogs in eSports but their company might as well be a subsidiary of faze especially with how Matt chooses to run it
I've been falling down the keyboard rabbit hole, lately, and it's funny to me how most of the "bad" mechanical keyboards folks like Hipyo and Glarses review sound way, way better than I've used before.
Then again, right now I'm using a GameStop branded outemu brown keyboard that's tape/foam modded with Dye Sub keycaps, so my standards aren't very high, haha.
lmao i might be using the same keyboard
i felt this on a spiritual level.
I've only recently changed the outemu brown switches on my kb to akko lavender purples and it already sounds so good to me. But I bet the more experienced MKB hobbyists would still cringe at how it sounds 😂
A rather amusing series of events just happened to me. So I finished watching the video, and clicked the link to your “serpentine” music video. I listen to about 30 seconds of it, and the last thing I hear was “I’m not mad I’ve just lost it” I then proceeded to exit to the UA-cam homepage, where I saw the thumbnail to this video, with hipyo saying “I’m mad” lmao
Glarses zoom is iconic
The plastic case almost reminds me of the one used in the Epomaker GK68X/XS.
oh man the glarses noises... so scuffed but so on point LOL
Got my skyloong ak84s a couple days ago from my 3 long month preorder.
Just doing stab rework and pe foam with tape mod and this would already be 100% better.
Love the honest review.
youre one of the realest guys. ive watched all of your vids and never commented. i trust you more than my own mother. pro gamer hipyo
Pro Gamer Hipyo. Sorry if this is late I barely get time to watch youtube with this crazy school schedule. Love you hipyo please continue with the videos
Idea: use the hot swappability of this thing and a switch tester to mod this thing to be super cursed.
Every key is a different switch. Go as different in feel as you can get for each key as possible to make it feel as cursed as you can. Find a way to get Optical switches in there somehow, if that's even electrically possible. Throw in one first gen Kailh low profile switch with some kind of 3D printed adapter for normal keycaps instead of foam modding and stuff.
Okay, maybe do this to a different keyboard instead, but I wanna see the cursed switch tester keyboard, and I'm too broke to make the keyboard myself. And if this kind of thing took off... I'd 100% get pigeonholed in as the cursed keyboard gal.
I build keyboards as a buisness, so I have a lot of spare parts (including those low profile switches). Definitely going to do this lol
@@zelan9155 make sure it's their first try at the low profiles, not the new ones. I haven't heard anything good about the originals, so that's bound to make it more cursed.
Anyways, I have even more ideas. Like putting one of the actually good low profile switches on there. Maybe make the two into F and J as some really cursed indicators if you use caps meant for low profile switches.
4:17 nice voice crack lol (i had an awkward one during a class presentation today)
I checked out a lot of keyboards before buying, and I decided to go with the Roccat TKL Pro. I've had it about a year now and love it. I went with the optical switches. They feel great, and sound good.
Oh man I thought that I might have been one of the few to have what I consider a modified programming/markup language home row. I suck at typing tests, but when it comes to writing what I want to or making websites it is very fast. Mainly just the index on the right hand with the rest hovering the brackets, parenthesis, slashes, etc. that you use more frequently.
I really want a best gaming keyboard video from you (best keyboard UA-camr tbh)
Hey hipyo, just wondering but maybe in your next vid you could show/tell us how to do your overhead cam when your building keyboards. Would be really helpful, thanks!
LMAO Your transition today was the Fake Holy Pandas of the Glarses transition!
Im a 65% gamer, and have been since some of the first released, because its so nice. its nice to see more people using the 65% layout and im looking forward as the layout becomes more popular, the designs people come up with to compliment the compact keyboards

Pro Gamer Hipyo! Ok, so the sales pitch kills me but it really doesn't sound too bad. Kinda like it. Wouldn't buy it but hey, at least it made for a great video. Keep it up Hipyo.
LOL, literally the video i saw before this one was the one with the same keycaps, and the 1st vid i saw from you :D GJ youtube algorythm.. u got it right!
1:52 imo this makes north facing LEDs slightly less excusable because the cool keycaps don't even have shine through so why do you need north facing LEDs?? There is no way people are going to replace those keycaps with shittier shine through ones so it just makes 0 sense
I would 100% replace those keycaps with shine-through. There is zero point to LED lighting on a keyboard if it's not going to let you type in the dark. I don't care what you think about fashion, looks, or astetics. Function is always inherently superior to aesthetics when it comes to form.
Pro Gamer Hipyo ;) hahaha had fun watching this :D
I think that the [look better up here] slogan is in reference to the positioning where a monitor would be with the keyboard. They mean that the keyboard looks and feel better in your hand so you look better on the monitor. [look better up here] at least that is how i think it is.
The glarses sound on point tho
"Raindrop... Wheres the droptop?" 💀
This is good. As a comparison keyboard. As the keyb you don’t want to have.
Still better than anything I've ever used haha.
Bruh I’ve watched so many of your vids when I close my eyes I see spinning hippos with keyboards XD
what is that key between Ctrl and Alt on the bottom left? the icon is a lock which makes me think of caps lock but i assume that's not it...
Whats your opinion on the new Fnatic streak 65lp?
Where do you get that kind of foam from? i wanna mod my ducky i know its not mad but i like the sound
you're great man. thank you :)
the glasses noises plllleeaaase that was so funny
I'm sorry, I know everyone has bad days but I'm soooo tempted to put timestamps for all of Hipyo's voice cracks (still love the vid)
the 100t higround keyboard is literally the hypebeast keyboard of the keyboard world
They're reselling high because we're in the era of the scalper.
From the thumbnail I thought it was covered in mold.
As someone who is trying to get into keyboards and learning more about them, I think this keyboard is dope. I am a 100t fanboy though lol
if you dont know anything about keyboards yet then you think this keyboard LOOKS dope. which is the main point of it and why it sold out. But its not a great board.
Will you do a review of the X-bows keyboards soon?
The QMK enabled ones will soon get support for VIA
The keycaps that were similar to the space bar are named "MechZone 72 Keys Chinese Ink Painting Keycap Set"
changing the color of the pcb is a lot easier then changing the design but they still have the resources to change the switch direction.
“Higround, you’ll look better up here”
*Highground, look better up here”
I really like the keycap design
Dude this video is hilarious. GG
Thanks!
"Built by Monster Energy Drink/Social Media Hype Enjoyers, for Gamers" Lol, you made it sound so much better for under $5 !
his howdy hey makes my day :D
Imagine this with the glarses thumbnail…
i bought some random keyboard off of amazon, it's called the havic mechanical keyboard and the switch puller that came with is the exact same.
If anyone is looking for a keyboard that will improve their response. Just get a cheap optical board with reds or blacks / yellows (whatever weight linear you like). Then fill the board with foam and lube your stabs (might want to buy some new ones, they are cheap Esp clip ons which cheap boards use)
That's all. Not sure if there is a point in lubing (OPTICAL) linears. I do know optical linears feel very stable and smooth just stock compared to regular switches.
the keycaps look EXACTLY like the ones on my razer black widow v3 maybe try checking that out!
Oh o get the slogan, look better up here, in the high ground, with that keyboard
great looking keyboard -Im searching for a ortho linear not split know of any ?
Pro Gamer Hipyo! I've been too busy with my graduate coursework to join you. I hope that you are doing well, sir!
Keycaps look like the caps from the RkG68, with those weird non-circular stems, oem profile, etc.
When moding, do you leave the tape on?
better than i expected
Which vid is the one with north and south stuff?
4:17 that voice crack
Hello. What is your opinon on analog keyboard? Thanks
i would to see a rog scope tkl review from you, and how yo mod it to make it better
north facing LEDs arent really an L here considering its marketed towards gamers so if they wanna switch out the keycaps (yes that wouldnt make sense) then rgb shine through would be priority
I have cherry profile keycaps and north facing LED's ... what interference? could it be my zelious' that's making them work? The mold looks like a dagaladoo set I just returned.

Nothing makes me sadder than when my friends show me all the concepts and keycaps they want for a board and then show me the North facing LED pcb. Let's face it, unless they're in the rabbit hole they're looking at cherry profile 9 times outta 10
Why is the print on the keycaps on the side?
The keycaps are from the geek sk61 I think. Greet video!
