Most people don't need Google Home or nest crap. They just need streaming. Google put that in to jack up the price. They should have a lower cost model without the home nest crap available. That model would sell more than this one.
I bought few of them Pre-Ordered month ago all 4 of them in Hazel color 2 , 2 of them i installed 2 more coming next week really lovin it , BUT remote don't have blk light, in nights/dark room or dim room u really cant see the remote & bottoms because of dark color, but i know where is the bottoms are now on remote, so just press it lol & was stupid on thire part , o well but is a great powerful update to my old Chromecast dongles as i bought when they released almost 4 years ago👌👍
Thanks for the video. When you had to set it up and enter a four digit pin, did the pin number go to your gmail address? If it did not please let me know where you get the pin number that you need to enter.
Would not install through the crappy Google Home app, but I did get it installed manually. Operation is smooth and somewhat fluid. Kind of disappointed it doesn't have Wi-Fi 6 or 6e at its price point.
Hideous color and form factor. It would have to be hidden behind a soundbar or receiver. It has an obsolete WiFi 5 chip. That’s why the WiFi speeds are not that great. Also has the same processor as in the 2021 Firestick Max. Way overpriced. Should be around $60. Appreciate the review nonetheless.
most of the streaming services i mean in APPS or streaming devices like here all looks the same interface , only the grandpa Roku have the f*n same interface since 2005 ..BUT if u Google & specially YTTV user like me ..this is MUST to get. Love the feathers & interface & how gathering the things i like to interface for me or pulling down movies & series i like from other subscribed services👍👌
@@landpet USB 3.0 dedicated charging and charging downstream ports provide up to 1,500 mA or 1.5A, which translates into 7.5 watts. Don't think it's the majority of TVs but some do. I haven't tested this but read it online. I don't have this but thinking about it.
Can this work with a USB-C hub to connect a hard drive/external SSD to, and playback Dolby Vision media off of it with the "Nova Media Player" app? The Chromecast with Google TV can't do this, and neither can the Shield TV 2019 version. My 85" TCL Q750G though can. So IDK what the issue is but would like to see if this can work. Wish it added a USB-A for data.

compare it with onn pro 4k what is difference
For spatial audio is it just for pixel buds or any bluetooth headphones?
I believe it's only for the Pixel Buds Pro, not 100% but I thought I saw that somewhere.
Great review - thanks!
No problem!

Did not review the usb c hub? Does it support exFat hard drive?
The C hub is how it gets it power.
Wishing this is available in India ❤
Did they launch the previous one? I'm wondering if it's a matter of time
I have seen better software decisions but it is Google. Very good review!
Thanks!
Hi I saw a review on Amazon that it doesn’t support Plex can you confirm this because I hoping it does.great video
defiantly not plex server,, plex should would work if not return it

It automatically showed up on my Android phone as a popup

Agreed, should’ve been WiFi 6 since that’s been available for sometime now
Very disappointed in this. I actually ended up returning it. I got the Onn 4k. Much better in my opinion
can you test VPN APPS ?..
@@joe10117 I have no clue as I don't use those.
I am from India. When will it launch in India
I don't know
No wifi 7 either. May have to talk myself into trying it.
not even wifi 6
I got the porcelain White i like it but bought 2.1 HDMI white to match should Game in. Dark Gary instead of Hazel
I would’ve preferred a charcoal color if it was available but this one’s not bad.

Thanks for the feedback!
Netflix is kinda funky on Chromecast. Seems to be a Netflix software problem.
i didn't notice any issues with it, only prime with it's second of lag when you first play the video or fast forward/rewind
Maybe they need to just fire the product manager on this one. What a complete swing and a miss.
Are they deliberately copying the Fire Stick?
It is similar to the fire stick interface

Why they are still giving USB A - C instead of USB C.
Probably because people are still using the same power brick from the older Chromecast.
and why only 1 plug for usb in the outlet could be really handy to get more than one
Gives you the option to power from your TV pending your TV USB input
Idk, these are my speculations: cheaper? Or power off TV if it can do 7.5w?

Be a while uninstalling all the streams I do not use.
not too bad for me
Its useless for IPTV, 4K Chromecast is better for IPTV
