You guys are hilarious! First time watching any of your videos! I subscribe to your channel ,keep making great content! The CX 90 is the cherry on top of the cake! Great job Mazda❤
Thank you so much! We really appreciate you saying high and sharing you encouraging words. Mazda really did a nice job with the CX-90. This will hopefully set a new standard of Mazdas and other SUVs alike. 2024 will be exciting for a few SUVs
Mazda has nailed it in terms of interior, exterior and a solid engine. Thanks for the review guys. I hope you get your hands soon on Grand Highlander once it’s here.
It’s interesting, we reviewed a Highlander years ago but never posted it. We didn’t like it. When we do a new one, we will make sure it’s good. Thanks for saying hi Jaspreet. Good to hear from you.
What's surprising is that PHEV starts and ends at higher price than the MHEV counterpart. For example the Signature trim MHEV CX-90 is cheaper and much better equipped than the PHEV which tops out at GT trim. Signature with Artisan Red and Windsor Tan Nappa Leather interior will be my CX-90 spec.
Thanks for watching. It’s a real thing for sure. Unfortunately, it might be the cause of higher prices in the US. Here in Canada, the CX-90 price remains very competitive. But in the end…what a nice luxury Mazda. We hope you enjoyed the review.
First ☝️!!!! Btw. Brad is officially banned from my car ! …. Editorial note: Great Job!!! Keep’em coming, Brad has my back of the head smack of approval 🤠 Oh! Almost forgot: the 90's has called, they want their chrome back!
Brad gets a few of those snacks of approval. Ha. Thanks for being first Art and for always supporting. Now if you’ll excuse us, we are going to go finish those chips. :)
It’s a beautiful car but the market price adjustment in my area is absolutely insane. I was at a local dealership in South Florida earlier today for scheduled maintenance on my CX-9 and decided to checkout the CX-90’s in the showroom for fun. The Turbo S premium plus was going for $72k before fees and taxes. Gorgeous car but no thanks…
Thanks for the comment. It seems that the price comparison between Canada and the US is alarming. Plus, whatever US dealerships are marking up on top of that. It’s too bad. It’s a great vehicle but some pricing might put off buyers. On a completely different note, do you think the Panthers are going to take down the Knights?
@@HoodSlappersOfficial Yea I was honestly shocked to see such a markup. I would love to buy a used one in a few years. In the meantime I’ll hold onto my 21 CX-9 GT which is a great car. I sure hope the Cats can pull it off. I figured game 1 was going to be rough since they had 10 days of rest between games. I’ve been a huge Panthers fan since their inaugural season in 93. Them winning the Cup would honestly be one of the biggest highlights of my life lol. My prediction is Cats in 6. Let’s see if I’m right. Let’s go Cats 🐀🐀🐀
Well we are behind them too. They beat our Leafs so we are obligated to to cheer for them. That way, if they win, we can say the Leafs got beat by the best team. It’s easier to swallow that pill. Haha
Drove it as a courtesy car when my cx 9 was in for service. 21 wheels feel horrible, very bumpy and noisy. Many spots are very cheaply done (cheap plastic)
Thanks for watching. 21 inch wheels can definitely do that to a ride. As for the many other spots that are cheaply done, we would love to hear more. We value other opinions in the comments.
Thanks for the question! It felt good and offered up no surprises. The bias rear wheel drive actually made the drive seem more natural. We did not expect that. We quite enjoyed it and the sound it makes is very nice. We recommend test driving one yourself in order to experience it. Great question.
@@HoodSlappersOfficial thanks so much. I've got Aussie spec CX60 GT on order with this powertrain which isn't available yet anywhere. It's been getting mixed reviews the drivetrain. Good to hear yours was fine. Over the next month or so we finally get our CX60's.
@@francisgallozzi2595 Correct. Its the 280hp spec but the questionable drivetrain vibration / bad shifts seems to occur on both the diesel and petrol motors. Seems to be a production issue as some cars are fine.
The story here is definitely the interior. The exterior still looks very similar to their other models. No real surprises. But the interior is what won us over. Thanks for watching.
The problem is they messed up the us dollar price. Based on your chart its waaaaay cheaper to buy the top trim in canadabec 63k cad is only around 47k usd
Haha. That’s a great question! We may just have to find out. On a side note, they have to get more creative with these names. Thanks for watching. Alway great hearing from you.
We must be living in the future. :) It does seem a touch earlier to get it out though. Mazda was probably pretty excited and couldn’t hold out any longer. They had to release it. Thanks for watching.
Mazda = MAZDDDD Ahhhh ...they could have made the 2023-2024 Hybrid CX90 longer with AC vent in third row - otherwise this is losing to Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE/Limited !!!
I’d rather have the Mazda turbo petrol engine under the bonnet as it’s far better than the mega fugly Toyota rubbish. 😝🇦🇺 Who gives a flying 💩 if it’s not as fuel efficient is better to drive.
Great review fellas! Thank you.
Thank you for watching and saying hello. Have a great day!
The turning radius on the inline 6 CX-90 was amazing too.
Hey wait a minute. Do you work at Mazda!? Haha
@@HoodSlappersOfficial 2 laps in the Signature and 1 lap in PHEV at The CX-90 Drive Experience led to this conclusion
Lucky. Can you invite us next time? :)

Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with any configuration. It’s a brilliant machine.
I think you guys have a good point that with no luxury brand to protect, Mazda is free to give us a more valuable vehicle.

As Mazda Canada stated, even the Signature MHEV CX-90 is even more fuel efficient than the CX-9.
Replacing the CX-90 was a big move and it should pay off. This is miles ahead of the CX-9. Well done indeed
Drove it for the entire day, 23mpg…….😅

It's the only interior that can stand up to the GV80. Good job Mazda! Not a fan of the exterior though, CX-9 still looks better to my eyes.

The Tan interior is WAY nicer on the top trim
Not much to pick apart on the top trim. Heck of a job Mazda did. That interior is fantastic.

This or a Lexus TX?
Strictly based on looks, Mazda CX-90. Something about it. Call us crazy.
Best brand
We really enjoyed this one. The CX-90 set a high bar for 2024.
Even nicer interior is the Windsor Tan Nappa Leather. Yes, I will pay the $200 asking price.
Completely agree. Mazda made a worth while interior. Thanks for watching.
