Pretty on point guide Only two things I would have mentioned was the importance of getting a 3 second attack speed bow to match the cast time of aimed shot so you don't clip an auto shot Also the rotation changes as a troll. When you cast berserk and rapid fire at the same time its best to leave aimed shot out of the rotation and just spam auto shot and multi shot. Plus snarler is a good raiding wolf pet option because he has the strongest resistance stats in the game.
I found that 3 seconds isnt needed, just something slower than 1.6sec. This will have aimed shot replace one of the autoshots, which aimed shot hits harder.
This couldn't have come at a better time. I literally just rolled a hunter on Kronos 3 yesterday. Love your videos, Tip! The editing on this video was really well done too. Great job!
My first character was a rogue, but my second (was my main) was a dwarf hunter. I thought the dwarf in the cinematic was cool and I always wanted a pet. I had a bear, but later found out that other animals had different abilities, and stats. In the end i settled with a turtle which was a blackfathoms deep boss, ghoom’ra. Shell shield ability was great for tanking elites. Yep. Gimlibronze that was that hunters name. Lol silly name. Good times though.
As a guy who mained hunter in vanilla (tho just got rank 12 gear due to time) and saw the video with Cadet. This is just making me long for it's release even more! But thanks for uploading this. Due to all the consumables you need I find that engeneering and alchy is a good choice. As I plan to use my main alt (not the lvl 5 banker) as a mage teleporting around the world and collect the mats I need for my main (ores and flowers) and not to forget able to aoe farm better if I am chasing after a recipe or just gold farm. Not that hunter is bad on his own but mage brings so much more when it comes to famring and TP as you please. But good point to invest in skinning early on to boost your income when leveling up. Some say 2nd should be either mining to keep/sell ores or tailoring to make your own good slotted bags and when possible, sell some as you go. Since you will have some cloth leftovers from your first aid. Other then that, this video is pretty much spot on. Love your work and love for making these videos man. Keep up the good work! Ohh and +1 ofc =) EDIT: Good call on the races as well, most important playing any mmo, play what YOU want. It's an RPG after all. Play X class with Y spec just because it happens to be the "best" might grow boring after a while, and you'll end up rerolling (again?). For me personally, I select my race depending on animations, like the "feel" of it, attack/spell effects and what I want to use it for it, how gear looks etc. I will most likely focus on pvp. Meaning having that Shadowmeld with a stealthed cat as a base defender is invaluable, or if you just prefer to hide around and ambush ppl on the road or in the open. Thanks agian.
Brings back some good memories from my vanilla hunter. Rolling around with Broken Tooth and Crossbow of Smiting from BWL in BGs, just straight up deleting casters.
Waiting for everyone of these mate, i really want to roll more than 2 classes (the ones i rolled at the time vanilla was live) this time, with the increased coscience of the game i got in the years, so wanna roll and maximize everything i can! Meanwhile, thank you for your amazing work!
Something that I feel should be mentioned here, particularly if people are watching that haven't actually played vanilla before: For your second primary profession, if you do choose engineering, just be aware that you're going to be hard pressed to actually level engineering to max without mining. Considering you're going to want to be saving up while you level to be able to afford your mounts, skill training, etc., by not coupling engineering with mining you're going to be spending a LOT of gold for materials.
cant wait to classic to be out :) i been playing for over 14 years now, i started 3 months prior bc and never had the cahnce to xp full vanilla im really exicted, ty tips for all the guides.
I seem to recall the spec that actually did the most damage was 21 Marksmanship and 30 Survival. Been a long time but I do think this was the spec that scaled the best with agility and did the most damage if you cherry picked your gear even at the expense of wearing some leather pieces. Nice to see you mention Lupos, his bite doing shadow damage did ignore armor and made him a force to be reckon with!
Shout out to the Orc for hunter. Decent racials in pet Damage and melee damage active (can be useful in certain moments), as well as a crazy stun resist racial for PvP.
More classic content is always better! Even though i already watched every class guide a couple of times by different people i still watch the next one 😂
I believe the lvl50 class quests came out after Dire Maul, so if you do not include DM loot (Backwood Helmet/Ogre forged Hauberk/Tarnished Elven Ring(s)/Barbaric Blade/Bracers of the Exclipse/Warpwood Binding/Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas), you'll have to exclude Devilsaur Eye too. Also, Windreaver Greaves (Scholo Gargoyle Boss) and Mongoose Boots (crafted) for feet are better Cadaverous Armor (Scholomance) and Black Dragonscale Breastplate (with Shoulder for +1 hit) are a good choice as well as if you cant get your hands on the ubrs shoulders, which are heavily contened by rogues, warriors, other hunters and possibly druids/shamans/paladins. Also (if stats are changed to str/agi/stam: Gladiators chain from brd arena runs. Also ST can drop Atal'ai Breastplate, which has 22ap fixed plus random bonuses like falcon/monkey/tiger/wolf (16-17 agi plus other stat), agility(25-26), power(50-52 ap) As for rings, Blackstone Ring is easily farmable as hunter and afaik better than the zg ring. If av is out at/shortly after launch, farming the exalted ring would be good, too, since rings are heavily contested and chances are you wont get ANY AT ALL. Also DW is generally the way to go because of 2x 15agi enchants vs 1x 25agi on a 2h. Dalrend set is pre raid BiS afaik, but hard to get. Alternatively 2x Bone Slicing Hatchets/Dawns Edges Ranged Weapon BiS should mention Black Crow (hit), Dwarven Hand Cannon (lots of dps) and Bloodseeker (AV quest, and absolute pre BiS weapon) In terms of roation, afaik you should leave a small window after your Aimed Shot to allow an Shot in, and THEN cast Multi Shot.
Gun specialization is better than bow specialization because bow specialization doesn't affect crossbows. All bis items are crossbows and guns are next in line, the only decent bow in the entire game is the onyxia quest bow which is only on par with tier 1 and not as slow as you'd like.
How does hardiness work is it an additional 25% on your existing chance to avoid stuns ( only 1-2% extra) or is it normal chance to avoid stuns +25% extra overall chance. Will I even notice orcs hardiness if I take it? If you know, please respond. Thanks
No mention of raptor strike?. When aimshot and multishot are on CD you have a small window where you can run into melee raptor strike and still make it back out and not clip an auto shot. While it's very difficult and only viable in some situations; it does offer a 40-60dps increase.
Hello i don’t understand what you mean with 9% hitcap and what talent build you should use. Someone pls help idk what to spec in. I basically want to solo PVE and use beasts and as high as possible damage output
Oh tips, giving those tips on the easiest class! Oh damn that rotation is one of the most complex! Just because they're the easiest level doesn't mean their end game isn't 10x more complicated.
I always preferred Troll hunter to other races.. but also always been told Orc is BIS for hunter due to Beserking scaling with your current HP situation. What is correct?
just curiuos if its strictly about more dps than why use a talent point on scatter shot? instead of improv mark? is it just such a small increase that the utility of scatter shot out weights?
I just want to ask 2 things. One, why none talks about survival talent tree that maximizes the crit chance with lightning reflexes and killer instinct. Two, what's the case of support Hunter with the nightfall turn?
You dont get a nightfall hunter for the dps really but for the buff that he is the most effective class to proc it with a spam every 1 sec he can get pretty big amount of those on a boss fight for the rest of the run you are a humble hunter doing ranged damage none mentioned melee hunter but nightfal hunter nor the survival hunter has anything to do with melee hunter but actually there is a talent path maximizing your crit chance through survival talents.
@@mr.voidroy6869 I believe the logic is give nightfall to a low dps raid member and not a warrior who can top the dps charts with an arms/fury build, hence why shamans pallys and hunters will usually sport the nightfall. [Hunter's preffered because they can get a melee attack in every gcd with wingclip.
Can anybody confirm that it´s viable to use a thorium granade when Aimed and Multishot are on cooldown? Is the cast time of the granade woth it? Can you use one thorium grenate between the autos and is it woth to give up range (and ttherefore safety and damage avoidance) to throw it?
Isn't a wolf superior by far in pve due to the howl increasing the dmg of your aimed shot? Also, no love for the survival pve build after x amount of agility?
For the dps rotation, how come you Aim Shot then Multi-shot? Would it be better to Aim Shot, then Autoshot, then Multi-shot? Does the Autoshot timer not reset as you're casting Aim shot?
autoshot has a set cooldown based on weapon speed, if your aimedshot cast overlaps when the autoshot is ready to shoot again it just sits and waits to fire until aimedshot is done, IIRC even if you mash the multishot button the autoshot can squeeze in between the aimed and multi.
just a comment for pets, forgot to mention need tame a wolf in LBRS for Furious Howl Rank 4, and loads work for learn ability pets on leveling, no all pets have same rank ability on tame, hunter need find loads pets for hight rank also hunter in vanilla can have max 3 pets, two in stable and one carried, for the rest nice guide!

So I'm a bit confused. In Classic WOW everyone started with no money. If you choose Engineering you would have to take Mining. You don't have money to buy mats off the AH! I know I've been playing Classic WOW since it released, and all my hunters have taken the combo. I guess you could switch to something else later, but I'm not sure why any player would do that.
14 RAP is equal to 1 dps. 1 agility gives 2 RAP (pre 2.0.1), crit chance, dodge, and armor. I would think agility would benefit more because of the crit... It takes 53 AGI to get 1% crit for hunters
@@buntings Okay but why not simply take Mining and provide resources for myself? Ore is still required for crafting bombs and stuff. I suppose I could have an alt with mining or something.
well ya, dalrend is a great hunter weapon, just as much as it is for melee's :P Just cuz it has high base damage doesnt remove the stat bonus on both of them, or the set bonus. Goes the other way around aswell, the amount of times rogues and warriors dare to touch our bis ranged weapons or pre-raid bis ranged weapons is annoying aswell.
no, dwarven hand cannon is pre-raid BiS. you'll have 305 weapon skill as a dwarf. dwarf is imo better choice than nelf since you also have stoneform which allows you to gank the gazillion UD rogues out there with no problem. but yeah the best of the best weapons are bows, but you'll have the same skill as nelf with them. so makes no difference.
Do hunters ever down-rank multishot? max rank is 320 mana for 150 bonus dmg, rank one is basically an autoshot for 100 mana (no bonus dmg). No way in hell is it worth it if you have to feign to drink mid fight.
I think this guide is very high production quality and I'm a big fan of Tips Out. But who exactly is the target audience for this guide? It's labeled as a PvE guide but seem to only focus on lvl 60 raid content? And yet it spends time stating completely noob related stuff like: going over which races can play the class, and explaining that hunter traps are useful for cc and kiting. I seriously doubt any hunter that has played for months and finally dinged 60 and is now looking for a PvE guide will learn anything from this that they didn't already know - apart from maybe the section about world buffs and consumables. I mean who on earth is gonna be "Trolls have increased bow skill??? COOL! I'm gonna roll a troll hunter now! OH WAIT, lemme write that list of world buffs and consumables down so I have it when I ding 60"
irrelevent comment but i really like the way you talk. like pronouncing and such. is english your native language ? also when wow classic finally arrives is there a chance you can take me into your guild ? i would like to know. thanks !

Your aimed shot gets faster as well with attack speed buffs so I dont see why you wouldnt use aimed shot 🤔

can we have a warrior one? ...nice content as always
Optikjoe You know it brother!!!

No it doesn't. Check any server.
Mage next please!
irrelevent comment but i really like the way you talk. like pronouncing and such. is english your native language ?
also when wow classic finally arrives is there a chance you can take me into your guild ? i would like to know. thanks !
DM:N buff for AP doesn't apply to ranged does it.... the only buff worth it from DM:N is maybe the health one i thought.
so as a hunter you shoudl farm stratholme as much as you can ^^
