There are people who smoke and drink from the age of 12 and live til they are 100, there are people who live perfect lives and die at 70.
It makes sense to live a healthy lifestyle, and it will make you live longer, but there's a very limited amount you can do to shorten/lengthen your own lifespan.

@@billpap7570mmm not entirely. 80% genetics is wrong. It’s more like 50/50 if anything. Genetics definitely plays an important part but it’s definitely not 80%. This guy is doing the extremes though and I think that part does stem from his genetics (I think the death of his mum from cancer younger than ‘normal’ freaks him out - as it would anyone I suppose).

Yes he could technically live until 3000 due to his birth defect which mutated the telomeres (structures made from DNA sequences and proteins found at the ends of chromosomes), so his cells could divide infinitely.

Possible some health anxiety disorder, sadly. His mum and dad lived to a good age. It's always difficult to accept when parents pass, it's hard to take, you become selfish, you want to keep them around forever, even though it's their time to go. You just need to let them go and take comfort from the fact that everything was done as best as it could. The circle of life.....

I get there’s looking after yourself but his fear of dying is pushing him way beyond that and he already looks older than his years.
It's important to come to terms with the fact that we're all going to die one day, the fact that life is fleeting is what gives life value.
The harsh truth is that Leon is going to die like the rest of us and he just needs to come to terms with it and focus on other things...

I'm a believer in live and let live. His intentions are very pure with regards to wanting to live longer for his family but I can't help but see the irony that some of the things he's doing might be shortening his life. All we can do is live in the moment and be present so this lifestyle constantly reminding him of death can't be good for his mind state. And this is coming from a health freak too!

Fasting and calorific restriction do increase the chance of living longer. According to the scientific research in this area. Exercise is good too.
However, he'd probably be better off swapping the majority of those pills for unprocessed plant foods. They didn't show what he eats. He may well be deficient in fibre.
About the only pill that's a non-negotiable is Vitamin B12 if he's vegan, or close to vegan. or an over 50 year old omnivore

This man couldn't even give a straight answer to being asked if he's afraid of dying. He is utterly terrified of it. Terrified of the one inevitably we have from the moment we're born. Sad stuff.
My grandad past last year at 96 on no meds. My grandma will be 96 in couple months and lives on her own and is very physically able more so than a lot ppl younger than her! They were together 80 years had great health and lived/still living a life we all wish for! They have never over indulged or eaten too late or eaten junk/processed food. They ate the old fashioned way from scratch and ate a good amount of meat and veg. 3 meals a day with light evening meal and main meal midday from retirement.
Same with my great grandparents my great grandad is 86 and way healthier than his own son who is 65. My grandad chose to eat crap and never exercise whilst my great grandad does the gardening very day and keeps himself going eating normal meals. When we sit at restaurants people ask if they’re brothers it really winds my grandad up 😂
@@sianhiggins929 that’s like my mum who’s 75 this year yet she’s not in great shape physically. She’s my grandparents only daughter. Yet hasn’t had the good health that they have had. My grandma hand washes her clothes still as doesn’t trust the washing machine. She a very remarkable lady and no one believes she’s 96 in June. Been very blessed to have had both grandparents for so long in such wonderful health. My grandad drove till he 90 and he would wash his car after every trip out in it😁he only gave up driving as my grandma said he should but he was still fine driving. It’s something I wish for all of us.

Seems like a nice person. I do think lowering your stress levels is probably the best thing to do for your health, but this type of lifestyle seems very stressful to me. Also very stressful to be having ideas like the government is trying to kill us all. Life is short, no one is promised tomorrow- enjoy what time you have here. As the presenter says at the end, this person may be missing life right now as so fixated on the future.
Great comment. I was shocked to hear that he is only 35. He looks far older. Taking random prescription meds is not healthy. He will probably develop a duodenal ulcer, which is very dangerous. He needs to see a Psychiatrist urgently.

That's from the body processing prescription tablets every single day which causes liver failure and brain disease in later life.

I think its fare to assume. That Leon's facial scarring is from bad acne when younger. Which he took pills to eleviate. The success of that validated his usage of pills to help in other aspects.

Fast forward to 15 years and he will probably be in intensive care; multiple organ failure; an autoimmune disease; total limb amputee; blind; deaf; with dementia and diabetes! Yeah, in dog years, he did brilliant!

When i was a PhD student I attended a seminar on genetic engineering, and a professor of Geriontology (the genetics of aging) predicted that the 1st person to love to 1000 had already been born, but his assumption was based on radical gene editing combined with nanotechnology bolstering already genetically enhanced cells. I do think radical lofe extention will be possible, but it wont be done through this approach, which is essentialy stuffing the content of holland and barret into your body

You need to be fasting for atleast 72hrs for full benefit, and even then you should only do that quarterly.

I think someone just needs to be honest with him and tell him that he is absolutely not going to live forever. unfortunately being bitter against the medical establishment makes no difference to anything in regards to death. Putting effort into being healthy is understandable, but even a persons health is not going to determine how long they live. We could be 100% healthy, but so many other things in our life could cause death, i.e. stress or even an accident.

Yup. Supplements were damaging my liver, I stopped taking them and switched to getting all nutrients from food and my liver recovered.

I was heading towards this lifestyle but realised I was going way too far, which was too stressful. I barely take any supplements, but I continue to practice a lot of health rituals in a flexible way that doesn't stress me out, especially if I don't have the time to do them. There's a difference between being healthy for health reasons and being healthy for acceptance.
You'd end up spending more time trying to gain time, I'd imagine.

im thinking 2 things , 1 he needs to take those tablets with a yoghurt or something he will have no stomach lining and 2 cryo is a great idea i started late last year, ive been in 7 car crashes and numerous other major injuries , really really good idea ... it gives mental clarity and strength but i wouldnt recommend driving etc for at least an hour afterwards ... good luck to him ... i think he over does it though!
