That would be so fucking funny
"My parents took them down because I am grounded." 🤣
I could imagine this happening to Randy Marsh
hahaha
Random fact: That picture of a man in the first story is actually a real person and his name was Raymond Robinson. He got horribly disfigured because he got electrocuted when he was 8 years old. He apparently likes to go on walks and he tends to do it at night time to avoid scaring people and because of that, he was actually struck by cars a few times. But on a positive note, mans lived a full life and he peacefully passed away in 1985 at the age of 74.
Thank you for that. I was very curious what that pic was about. Bless that man’s heart!! He had to have had a hard time to live like that since he was 8 years old!! 😢 how did you know this?
@@anonyvatedalexander5902 There was another video that used his photo, and I think one of his nephews/relatives commented about him and how he was. I figured I would just spread the info cause I noticed his photo is getting used in a few horror vids.
@@metokyan5804 I love that you are doing that for him. ❤️ That poor man. I can’t imagine how challenging his life had to be but I hope he was surrounded by a lot of people who loved him and made him feel good about himself. The way I always come back to listen to Corpse's stories. This one is still one of my favourites
Ikr
Everytime I drive to the beach I put this story on, originally made me want to become a park ranger myself
Me too
100% my favorite. Love how unique this one is.
Another one of my favorite stories is the I hired my own hitman story too.
Catch me in the forest making cat noises and building stairs
As long as you do backflips to exit, you're all good 👌
Unicorn Vomit don’t forget the upside down stairs
Ima start building houses around random spooky deep forest stairs
I won't mind the noises but could you help me build stairs? I always meowed back at my cats and they answered...

No everybody gangsta till some fucking mad lad comes backfliping out of the forest and snaps ya neck
"aw damn, not again!"
That's where the stairs on the ship went!
Can't have shit in detroit
i'm sure this is an obvious connection but i love the fact that the author leaves it up to the listener to realize the severed hand from the stair story likely was the one that ended up fused to that tree
Oh shit never thought of that lmao
I never realized that til I saw this comment
The kid in the tree could also be connected to the story of the "Fuzzy man"

Exactly what I thought!
This forest ranger nosleep story is probably the best series of stories I have ever heard.

Man I miss this age of the internet. 4chan and Reddit stories were the absolute best and most interesting stories I’ve ever read. Many of these people deserve to become authors and make money.

@@Bonezy1001 Got too popular - happens to all sorts of hobbies. The stories are still around, they just usually suck.
@@impishlyit9780yep. Rinse and repeat killed it. Problem is it’s the smaller channels now that do the trash “I bought 5 grams of black tar on dark web, then my family dog got kidnapped by a satanic vegetarian sex cult that trapped my dog in the annals of the dark web for eternity” stories
Agreed!! I’m still here watching them lol
@@impishlyit9780 Ain't this the sad truth. So many bad stories now because people's attention spans got shorter and they don't appreciate the slow-burns. I'd argue that this one isn't even a slow-burn, it's a multipart roller coaster. But no, now r/nosleep's front page is a bunch of stupid multi-part stories that are horribly written and end with a twist just for the sake of a twist. It's abysmal.

I remember seeing stairs in the woods. Nice a short. I walked up them. The only thing I found was a good view of the area. The reson your not supposed to go to them it the can be unstructerly sound. this is a collection i’ll never stop coming back to. The mix of the fantastical and the crushingly grounded stories, along with the clear knowledge of the author, lends a believability that’s rare in the genre. It’s just classic. I retell some of these as campfire stories on occasion

@@YoungDymisty- That was part of it. He also got doxxed and another site claimed to have found out who he really was and posted what were supposedly photos of him. The backlash from some of his parasocial “fans” - the ones who convinced themselves he was really good-looking (even though he often stated he wasn’t) - was nasty: calling him ugly and unsubscribing from his channel. @shadeyreign7353 I think you misunderstood my comment. There's nothing wrong with him showing his face. People were practically stalking him about wanting to see his face. @@yefferybeans9761 but didn't he could scream?
(I mean not like I wanna get in details on how a faceless man can scream but)
my guess is the guy made it up the mountain but were suffering from some kind of oxygen depravation. He saw another hiker who was wearing a mask to shield from the cold, and thought they had no face. They freaked out and ran away, getting injured in the process. The other climber sees this happening and, out of concern for the man tries to follow, but can't without getting hurt. So, he ends up just doing his best to keep up as far as he can tell, calling out for the guy through his mask intermittently, resulting in "muffled screams".
If its the same as the image used it's The Green Man or Charlie No-Face. He was said to be disfigured in an electrical accident as a kid and as a result went on long walks at night through the woods. He's an urban legend at this point but there is a man behind the legend

I remember finding this years ago way before he blew up. I still find myself coming back to this every other year or so. Probably my favorite reading his voice fits perfectly with these stories.
the story with the man making a meow sound- i have a story EXACTLY like that. i get chills every time i talk about it because it seriously creeps me the fuck out.
I was with my friends outside and it was around 7:46-7:52 PM and we were in this area where theres this abandoned waterpark and next to it theres a few bushes but theres also houses and apartment complexes around so its mostly safe to be there in the day time but at night theres lots of groups coming there esp when its summer but the time this happened to me was in winter- this winter. its always very cold so most people from my city dont even go out during winters or if they do they go to restaurants and stuff like that but a few weeks ago i was out with my friends and we were chilling around that abandoned waterpark area and we hear this strange "meow" and we ignore it since it was pretty far away from us then we hear it again around 8:04 PM and it was WAAAAY closer and it sounded more like a bark and a meow combined so we were rightfully confused and slightly scared and then 5 minutes later we hear the "meowing" get more frequent and fast and loud and one of my friends decides to go with me to check it out and when we get there we see this man, in a grey hoodie, black straight long hair, covering his face with it, with a black jacket. We see him- he sees us- we run, and he starts running after us. We yell out to our other friends to run because we're being chased and they start running right away. For 5 days straight we heard that "meowing" sound in every place we went and the last time we heard it, we also heard footsteps following us
Thank you for sharing. That was a very interesting story 😌
How dare you insults my hobby like that I've been doing that outside of your bedroom window for years

Burn them•-•
There's only one option, burn the stairs
Don't touch them, don't go near them, do not go up them. Don't worry about it, but avoid them.
The only option is blow up everything in a 100 mile radius of them
True or false, the baby story is a living nightmare for me. I take my kids hiking with us all the time and my chest always gets tight with anxiety around all cliff edges, bridges, etc. I cannot help but imagine one of my kids falling and I immediately feel like hyperventilating and tremble and grip my kids tightly. That story sounded like what goes through my mind in those moments and I immediately began to tremble.
I’m not a parent, so I won’t pretend I know what it feels like, but I’ve seen my grandmother after the death of my uncle. The way she screamed “my child” when she entered. He was 60. That kind of loss, of grief… no one should feel it. That story in particular stung so hard.

One dude’s story had someone getting their hand severed when going up stairs and then another had a hand appeared inside a tree. Very peculiar
that’s what i’m saying it almost makes perfect sense
Yeah I caught that too, and like when homies hand got yoink off it disappeared. My curiosity has me wanting to know the timeline between the hand severed off incident and tree cutting incident.

I thought the exact same thing, dead ass it was probably the dude's severed hand in the tree. I speculated the stairs may be interdimensional and he reached his hand too far over the threshold and it ended up somewhere else in the woods.

This is one of the first videos I listened to from corpse husband & was hooked! Been a subscriber since December of 2015. This is actually my favorite video & my second favorite would be scary hiking and camping stories. Happy to see how successful he has become.
same longevity here, i listened to this when it was still 2 weeks fresh, now its 6 years old, i watched the slow transition from narrating to his nowadays content and im kinda depressed he doesnt narrate stories anymore
@Tyler Redbow I know I miss him narrating scary stories he was one of the most beloved narrators but then about 2 years ago he did a video explaining that he wasn't going to do scary stories anymore that he was going to try something different on his channel and he did the right thing because when he started gaming on his channel he became famous and got millions of subscribers so he made the right move and makes good money from you tube now and I am happy for him and all his success.
I actually remember running into the stairs so yeah this one messed with me I was in palmetto national Park in Texas it was during one of the long droughts so a lot of the trees were dead but me and my brother were walking down one of the trails and we passed by some stairs that just led to nothing and kept going but the wind actually picked up quite a lot of trees actually started falling so we ran back the direction we came and when we passed by the area with the stairs they were gone really odd

I'm just glad that this video is still here. This one introduced me to this kind of videos and the first time I heard of you, I remember watching this when it's just a couple months old. Now you're really famous.
I listened to this the day after Christmas at work. The entire factory was empty and I was the only one there. One of the creepiest environments I've been in.
The one when the baby was accidentally dropped, it nearly made me cry, just thinking about what pain the parents went through, just seeing their baby, lifeless, on the ground.
same, idk if most of these stories are real but that one is just so sad because it's something that could so very well happen. it just hit particularly hard, and i'm sure the parents were just hoping for a lovely hike with their baby and everything just went so painfully wrong.
@@viatheanimator That's what made that story like, so terrifying. Because even if that particular case wasn't true, the possibility of the story being true about a different family just makes it hit different.

I saw a sign that pointed to an abandoned house in the middle of the woods and you bet my dumbass checked it out. It just had a lot of penis graffiti and torn up bibles. I saw signs of squatters up stairs and dipped in case they were sleeping cuz I've been homeless and the worst feeling is finding a spot to sleep, finally falling asleep, and then hearing people coming towards you. Shits scarier than actually finding a sleeping dude in the woods

Right? His voice has changed so much in just 4 years. Hearing his voice currently, it feels weird how many people are sexualizing it when his raspiness is from being very sick. I just can’t hear his voice that way. It sounds painful honestly

@@CalhuneDunamis Yes, we think similar. While pleasant, it sounds painful for me. Life is already temporary, but his voice that they're all going gaga for is on an even SHORTER deadline than his life expectancy. It must have felt hopeless for him at one point--- he raps, he streams, he tells bedtime stories. All with a voice that might leave his throat very soon. Honestly, the part with the kid who froze to death while crying is devastating for me. One of my major triggers is kids (especially young ones) going through traumatic stuff/dying in horrible ways
Same it hurts to hear about it
I think it's the same for most people. Most normal people. I think I'll spend my entire life trying to wonder how people exist out there that desire bringing various forms of harm to children. It's innate to protect them. What makes these ppl vary so wildly off the course?
I'm kind of suspicious of there person who found the kid. Could he be the man who took him? Like how the heck did he find him???
Same, I'm terrified of being kidnapped and sold on the black market or sex trafficked bc I'm in an area where it's common and its *terrifying*
I’m sure you’d LOVE to hear about why I hate my dad :)
I once lived in a farming area and got used to that sound of "screaming" but it also sounds like a screech owl. Let's just say; I ran from my aunts house to our house quickly through the fields in total darkness without missing the trail. Then later on when we lived in the Laurentian Mountains; as my sister and her husband left our home ; he was holding their baby in his arms; heard a rustling behind them in the dark. Upon arriving to their cottage they shone a light back to the path they were walking and saw a cougar.
Did they pet it though that's the real question
I always hope corpse doesn't remove any of his old narration videos. I actually put this specific video on to help me sleep 😩 can't sleep without this playing in the background
this dude: "there are stairs in the woods"

Sepher Agon Link for what?
It’s good to see corpse husband growing I remember when he was a small channel making very intriguing scary story videos.
Also story 13 definitely was a wendigo encounter
One time I was stopped by two women asking if I'd seen a little boy, one of the womens 3yo son had ran off. I promised to keep an eye out but I got an uncomfortable feeling about it, moments later I was stopped by a teenager on a bike asking the same thing. That feeling exploded inside of me, I got goosebumps all over my body and a sudden urge to go to a nearby stream. I asked if they'd checked the stream but apparently he would'd have made it that far in such a short time, I told the teenager I would check along the stream.
Something felt really off and as I walk along the stream my heart was racing more for each step, I've had this feeling before and knew what waited for me.
A stone throw away from me I saw something at the surface not belonging to nature, I quickly ran over and looked down into the water and trapped on a branch on the bottom was the little boy. Eyes wide open looking back at me and for a second fear gripped me but I snapped out of it and pulled him out and started CPR while on the phone with Emergency Services, I remember how loud the sound from the helicopter was. The feeling that it took an eternity for the firefighters to run across the field, the boy died and his eyes haunted me for years before I got psychological help.
During the entire time a nagging thing insisted in the back of my head, he was missing one shoe and for some reason it bothered me greatly.
The incident was classed an accident and the police kept telling me "You're a hero for finding and trying to save his life" but in my mind I could only think "But he died, I didn't rescue anyone". Of course the media wanted to get in touch with me and the police asked me if I wanted to talk to them, "Why? I didn't save him." was my answer.
I've seen dead people before in calm and messed up ways when I worked in elemder care, I've seen horrific injuries but the incident with the kid really fucked me up inside. I was very messed up after that psychologically, and to this day the only thing that really got to me and I've been through some shit before that. I'd get flashbacks sitting on the bus and rushing off at the next stop trying to breathe myself through a fucking panic attack.
Today I am in a better place but I've realized that sometimes the brain just had enough and bail out, those fucking eyes still comes around and visit my dreams sometimes when I forget my sleep meds.
This kind of shit can happen to anyone, a seasoned veteran in retirement or a rookie on his first goorefest, please seek help right away. I waited years and it has taken me years to get my fucking head straight after that, the longer you let it fester the longer it takes to get rid off.
I've seen degloved finger with bone sticking out, I've held the hand of an elderly lady taking her last breath, I've been covered in puke and shit and still wasn't fazed... Shit, I've stitched myself up without numbing and thought nothing could touch me because I somehow was immune to death and injuries, life came along and kicked my nuts so hard I was floored for years. Stay safe out there and don't bottle that shit up, it'll blow up in your face like a fucking IED piñata.
Damn
I am so sorry that you went through that :( I hope you are alright, and that you are doing okay. I don't know if it helps, but I heard that in some circumstances we cannot make things right here, only better. The young one had someone who cared and did their absolute best to help him, and even though grim, considering the possibilities, I think that knowing what happened with him is better than never knowing ):. I send you a hugh (if you like hugs, of course) and, I am glad you asked for help. It is really difficult, but you did enough. You did good, and sadly things happened as they did, but you acted. And that is enough. We can't control everything, but you listened and helped, and that is enough. Trust that, and trust you. I hope you are okay (: it is unrelated, but you remind me to a character. Alright, so I've seen some archeological type explanations about the stairs, the big one is that stairs have historically been very well made compared to the rest of houses, therefore, houses go to rubble, but stairs stay. Not gonna catch me playing on them, but it's a comfortable explanation
Stairs... Stairs rhymes with bears. Bears are in the Forest. Forest... for..rest... bears hibernate for rest.. I have no idea where I'm going with this...
DeadisBetter bear rhymes with where . where did these stairs come from? do the bears know where the stairs come from? if a bear climbs the stair does it know where it leads? if the bear climbs the stairs does it bleed on the way to where it leads?
