The author has a really fantastic style of writing. The character and narrative has fantastic personality, genuinely eerie and funny at times. There was a moment he described a place in the lighthouse as smelling sad and that just stopped me. Great. And you narrated this story absolutely fantastically, really drawing me into the character. Sold me 100%.
Nah, I quite enjoyed it. The character himself was clear, no pointless repetitions or silly turns of phrase and when the text becomes more loose or disjointed it feels like it is deliberately going along with the character becoming a shambles. It’s emotionally quite strong and the protagonist is actually compelling. I respect your opinion though, I wanted to give the narrator and author some nice feedback.

I am so with you, I've currently got a line from Disney Hercules in my brain, all of two lines 😂😂😂. I've got major insomnia issues that I didn't understand until looking at some sleep disorders. I don't have a normal Circadian rhythm. Most normal ppl know to go to sleep at night when their bodies tell them to. I don't have that and can stay up for 2-3 days, currently on hr 30 something. For some real scary types of insomnia, look up DSPD, delayed sleep phase disorder. One of the horrible things is that you're not affected by any sleep aids until your body is ready to go down. So I can take all the Ambien, Benadryl, Lunesta, etc and I won't feel a thing. I am lucky in that I am no longer working. I needed this, I love your narration style and story telling style. I had a rough stressful day, here in Ohio. So now I’m going to lay down, get comfy, and listen. “Weeeeelllll…I’ll tell you later”
This was a good one. I like the evolution of your sound design as well. Very subtle (like the cricket etc sounds when he's going to the lake), but that subtlety is why it adds so much.
Ooooo that was a good one!!! They was you tell the stories man. I can see it in my head. Everything comes to life and I can visualize the world. Another great one man
I just have to say you are by far the best narrator I have ever heard. I find your voice so relaxing and you really bring the stories you narrate to life. I have a whole play list of your videos and I am so happy when a new one comes out. Random question, I listen to a couple of narrators and there was a series called Kinder village (I think it was) about a village of criptids which I had saved to a playlist and he deleted the entire thing. If you could find it I would love to hear you narrate it.
Dang it got me crying near the end lol, also somehow the interaction the narrator had with Lucy in that place and him seeing her wave a few times is oddly comforting
I've easily watched this over 20x and have still not watched it. Your voice is so calming and the story telling is so well put together it puts me to sleep lol Eventually I will finish the story. Took me almost 3 months to finish the Basement Intruder story lol You're amazing dude! Edit: It's super nice being able to sleep with insomnia, sleep is a dream, pun intended. Actually waking up instead of just opening your eyes because the sun's been up for a few hours is, so refreshing.
Okay. I listened to half last night; And the rest I started this morning. I sank into the story like an old comfy couch~ and enjoyed every measured word…. You have out done yourself there Sir 👏
You are an amazing narrator that you drew me into the story like I was there watching the events unfold before me not just hearing the story being told. Everything about this story is wonderful the people and the places seemed real like it wasn't a tale but of something that did take place. It was eerie scary, funny, and beautiful at the same time. Thank you for such a great video.
Such a deep, powerful story and message. Brought tears to my eyes by the end. The love of a father for his daughter and his finally reaching a sort of closure. Very well written and filled with a whole range of emotions. Extremely well narrated expressing all the writer no doubt intended. Excellent story. Thank you and the author very much!!
I took thin in one bite. I got so invested that I didn't even realize how long it was. I assumed it would be the same few minutes as the others. But, no. 2.5 hours has vanished. This should be a screenplay. I would watch this movie multiple times. The whole thing is fascinating, new, tense, sad, and terrifying. It was really rewarding to get so much detail, development, and plot. I even loved the things that never got answered or explained completely. So, just wow.
Wow, ok, a two hr special from The Best narrator on You Tube. This just made my night soooo relaxing. Thank you Lighthouse Horror, and That story was the Best, .Plz more from this author.
These videos, these narrations, these stories, this channel, all are so addicting. Once I start, it becomes nearly impossible to stop. What sort of spell has LH casted upon his listeners?! It is strong!!! The stories are all amazing and perfectly chosen. The narrations are perfect in every way imaginable. I could never imagine another narrator reading these same stories. The imagery is of such a high quality, placed so precisely and carefully throughout, adding a well-crafted moodiness. The sounds are delightfully light, subtle, like whispers. They are at a perfect, atmospheric level. The sounds are not at all abrasive or overdone, as most other narrators do not realize, yet instead, rely upon their often noisy soundtracks or background music to add too much or all of the atmospheric spookiness. It does not work out for them.

It shows because of the in depth detail you provide its really easy to get lost in the story. I love it! This story was especially good. Thank you so much for your dedication!
thank You, Thank You, ThAnK YoU, THANK You for ul’ing a long story, really love your story telling, it’s something that’s real important in my culture so I really appreciate how talented you are at narrating & the great quality your work has.
This was an awesome story and Stephen per usual and thanks so much for doing this 2 hour story it was super all the way around.
I love your channel. Big fan of your longer stories. Thank you for all your hard work! ❤
Dear author,
You have made my Christmas Eve one of peace and hope instead of sadness. Christmas eve when all the ones that have gone ahead and are missed so deeply. It gives you hope of maybe being able to be with them again and you smile through the tears.
Thank you.❤
Hey I’m excited for this one. I love your long stories ❤
5min in and I can already picture what the characters look and might act. Really really good writing so far! My hopes are high!!! Ty Mr Stephen
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the longer videos. You aremy absolute favorite!!!
Wow great timing and it feels like a while since I heard a long story here ❤
I needed this, I love your narration style and story telling style. I had a rough stressful day, here in Ohio. So now I’m going to lay down, get comfy, and listen.
“Weeeeelllll…I’ll tell you later”
Have enjoyed the changes to the presentation! The stories are excellent as always.👌
This was a good one. I like the evolution of your sound design as well. Very subtle (like the cricket etc sounds when he's going to the lake), but that subtlety is why it adds so much.
What a powerful meditation on grief. Very well read!
Ooooo that was a good one!!! They was you tell the stories man. I can see it in my head. Everything comes to life and I can visualize the world. Another great one man
I can't tell you how much i look forward to your stories!❤
I've been eagerly waiting for this since the post from earlier today, now we can enjoy this :D
This was incredible. I love it when a creepy story manages to be profound and emotional without losing the charm of the mysteries behind it.
Such a pleasure Lighthouse, Thank you! I really enjoy longer stories.
Loved the story! Great job as always! You are one of my favorite narrators!
Perfection! Thank you, LH, you're always welcome to show up in my feed!
No. This is not just horror. This channel is a lot more than just horror. And the narration: a movie in the mind.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank You ❄️🤍❄️
Dang it got me crying near the end lol, also somehow the interaction the narrator had with Lucy in that place and him seeing her wave a few times is oddly comforting
Ye, I’m missing my folk this holiday season, conveys that yearning and grief perfectly.
Always a good day when you upload even on the darkest days!
Thank you Steven! Very good story. Very nice escape!
I pray you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
Woo Hoo!! A 2 hour story! Thank you Lighthouse!! I needed this!
Good way to get thru this late shift. Thank you!
I'm so excited for 2+ hours of LH narration! Thank you so much LH! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!🤗💜⛄🎄❄
This story had a nice twist at the end which put the rest in perspective, which I liked. Nice narration my friend.
LH is a hell of a story teller.
Perfect timing! Over 2 hours?!!! This is going to be a good night 😴
I'VE MISSED YOU!!! Thank you for another story!!!
Steve! Glad I saw this video in my recommended, as I was wondering if you had released any new stories, my dude! 😊
No way! A 2 hour story! Thank you Lighthouse!!
Absolutely brilliant. Drew me in, but I could easily listen to again 🙏🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Been alone for the holidays for 5years at 35. Want to say thankss, these are the highlights of the holidays for me
Great as always! Love your narrations! 🎉
This needs to be a series with these two characters as partners. Stellar.
You are a fantastic narrator! Love the voices!
Wow, ok, a two hr special from The Best narrator on You Tube. This just made my night soooo relaxing. Thank you Lighthouse Horror, and That story was the Best, .Plz more from this author.
Thank you for doing these stories. Through them, you keep me company while doing my arts and crafts.
Wow a long one!!! Another fantastic narration from one of my favorite narrators! I could listen to you read the phone book
Fantastic! Thanks so much for this, had me hooked in from start to finish.
Great story, kinda tear jerky in places, but still a great story. The Narration was pure perfection as usual.
