That actually has happened to me before xD
I grew up with a poltergeist that would pick on me, and talking to it really did work. They seem to be playful tricksters who just want to be acknowledged. It became so friendly that if I felt it's presence and asked it to do something to show it's there, it would. I'm pretty sure it became attached and followed me. Had one instance where a 'friend' was making up ghost stories when I was sleeping over at her house, and the stories were so over the top that I was starting to doubt her, but I always gave the benefit of a doubt due to my own paranormal experiences. She was claiming she talks to a boy ghost using a Ouija board and that they're friends and stuff. So I started asking the spirit to make her talking stuffed animals go off and sure enough they did. At that moment I got excited because I thought she must be telling the truth. My requests got more specific and the ghost kept complying. My 'friend' started crying and begging me to stop, and I was sincerely asking her why she's afraid because it's clearly friendly. Then the doorknob turned and the door slowly opened with no one on the other side but her little dog, who I'm assuming the ghost was just trying to let in. My 'friend' absolutely lost her shit. After that, it kind of occurred to me that she was lying and that this might be my poltergeist looking out for me.
Note that this 'friend' was a habitual liar and gaslighter who would throw me under the bus to impress the popular girls in a heart beat, and would sometimes do the whole passive aggressive bullying thing bitchy insecure girls do. I was naive and an outcast, though, so I put up with it for a long time. I highly recommend befriending a poltergeist if you ever get the chance.

my mom died of a brain tumor. when we got home from her cremation i looked at a picture i have from her and i swear i saw her winking at me.
That has nothing to do with the paranormal, that is something that the brain does when convinced in "grief", it will manufacture images that never existed, Its common for people, they'll often see images of dead relatives, or images of dead relatives doing something, like you. So don't worry, you're good.

ok, explain this story. my mom, as a child, had always loved these mirrors that belonged to my great grandma, because they made music when opened. anyway, fast forward 20 years and my great grandma had been dead for a month. my mom has always had this intense phobia of death. not like normal, i mean BAD. she refused organ donor status because she thought they would "harvest your organs". so, my grandma is at work, and my mom calls her, damn near shitting bricks. she says into the phone "call your landline' and sure as shit, the music is there. that same music from the mirrors. only my great grandma knew how much she loved them. now, i know what you're thinking: someone changed it to that. but thats not what happened, it grew quieter and quieter with static increasing as the whole (albeit small) dental office my grandma worked at was calling her phone to hear it. and then, the message returned to normal. Exactly as before. if you can explain that, by all means please do so.
My mom had a brain tumor too...when I had my son...I swear on my life, I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders just like she used to do before she passed away...she had to stand on my left and put her right arm around my shoulders so she could do stairs....I felt that arm coming from the left side 1 minute after my son was born.

Truth is, it often is that easy. A lot of times the spirits, so long as they are human, don't understand what they are doing can be terrifying to us living people and so simply explaining calmy after occurrences "Hey, can you not do this it scares me" or "You don't live her anymore you need to go" will often clear up any issues. If it's a demon however you're screwed.
Lmao, the last story was kind of funny from my perspective.

I heard a doll laugh once, and I had a radio, the volume would all of a sudden crank to 10, to turn it down there was always resistance, like somebody was fighting you, both of those instances were terrifying at the time. Maybe they kept getting evicted....I really can't see why you would want to move so often...that would get expensive, the security deposit, the security deposit you give the electric company when you first move into a place, etc...UNLESS the mother actually did experience some paranormal events, or secretly believed him and wanted to move to get away from it...
The way it sounds, his mom believed him, but was scared into denial. She might've scolded him for making up stories to convince herself that's all they were. But deep down, she knew. They smashed his piano, and the spirits wanted their groove back.

Story #3, I just....I just get so angry at parents who completely ignore what their kids are trying to tell them and blow it off and dismiss it as just, "being silly," or, "looking for attention," or, "being paranoid," etc. I know what it feels like to be completely dismissed and blown off for years. Yes, it can be a strength builder, but everything has a price. And unfortunately, the price usually, especially for family members, is trust. The bit about "you're just looking for attention," especially sets me off. To the person who says that, if that's the first thought on your mind when confronted with that, especially when it's your kid.....guilty conscience much?

My ghost story is that I used to have a spirit haunting me but in a positive way. When I was a baby, there was a spirit that would sing to me, rock my crib, and hush me, back to sleep every night. It would freak my parents out. As I grew up there would be these random and strange haunting moments, but never anything bad, to me. Can't say the same for my toxic family. They would get weird and somewhat negative things that would happen to them like a glass they were drinking out of being moved off the table to crash on the floor. My former mother had looked into it when I was a baby still and figured out that it was most likely the ghost of a woman who had lived on the land before the land was a trailer park. From what she told me there was a farm house where the mother and baby died in a fire. She thinks the mother became a spirit and was attached to me. As I grew up, I would always have a sixth sense about something. Like "don't do this because it's gonna be BAD", or "It's okay, do it, have an adventure and be creative". I always felt strength growing up too, to deal with the toxicity and abuse. It didn't prevent depression. But I have no doubt that my "ghost mom" is the reason why I'm alive. Whenever I wanted to commit suicide, I got these strong urges. "Don't do it", and then I would get these feelings of future accomplishments, that if I tried I'd be successful. And always in those moments there would be moments of strength for me and for just a minute I would love myself. Until the day I actually did try to kill myself. In my OD'd state, I got the strength to admit what I had done and try to get help. A few years later my step sister was treating me like a house slave because my job was to watch her children, but nothing else and certainly not to clean up after her and her lovers. So there were several times when her chair would be kicked at the kitchen table as well as her having headaches and other negative moments. For the last several years, I honestly think she moved on but left me a part of her. Because I have a slight strange sixth sense still and have a pretty decent connection to understanding Spirits, seeing them as shadows, sensing their presence. But I know she herself is gone now, I think watching me grow up, and especially come out of my darkness of suicidal depression, gave her peace

That's what's so different about you. You put so much actual emotion into the story. Anyone can read a story, but it takes a talented reader to have the ability to put fear, anger, sadness, sorrow(I could keep going) into their lines mimicking how I would imagine the owner of the story to tell it. Good on you.
Stories like this are why I have so much respect for my friend's dad, who always took the spooky shit his kids said seriously. Sure, some of it's just kids playing, but he's the first guy you'd want around in a horror movie situation.

The end of story 1 is very much true. At least the idea that spirits feed off of emotions. When you stand your ground, they can do no harm. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
" (James 4:7 ESV). Spirits like this are attracted to unholy lives to make their place of rest, feeding off of negativity. It's no wonder places where murder and death happen always seem to become haunted by them.
I had similar experiences with 'alien' entities tormenting me at night though only in my childhood home and no where else, leaving me terrified of the dark to where I felt I needed a lamp (the sign I was going to see horror was when the lights didn't work and the feeling of evil was present). This was not sleep paralysis, as I could very well move without hindrance most of the time and even get out of my bed. Usually I was terrified by what I saw, hiding under my sheets. with only three occasions of attempted opposition. First I was reading a childhood book and suddenly I heard a voice say something evil. I turn to look and see an alien gray laughing at me sinisterly. I try to strangle it but it vanishes once I try. The second time I attempt to tackle one that appeared to be glowing and was only 2 or 3 feet tall. But I black out before impact. After putting up with it for so long, I stumble on a youtube video that explains this: "Aliens" are spiritual enemies, who fear Christ like alleged evil spirits. Many people, including a man with the alias Bill claim they called out to Jesus for help, which left the supposed alien to only vanish or flee. (Even on the infamous Stardust Ranch the wife claims praying can make them flee from her; the reason this didn't work in the second story with the hateful entity could be due to a lack of prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21) or a lack of standing ground since it was a simple reciting and not out of authority, as mentioned before. I am glad though that the family was able to escape that creature.)
Back on topic, the next time I had an experience, I remembered what I had to do. I called for Christ's help, and not only did I no longer feel evil approaching me but fleeing, I got up out of my bed and saw them flee. The lights still went out anytime I got near one, but I knew they would never return and they haven't as long as I lived there. These creatures where not actual aliens, for what does a spaceman have to fear from the "Religious figures" of a faith he does not know, but a demon has nothing but awe and terror for the Son of God?. "You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder!

Make of it what you will. I very much believe alien grays, most supposed ghosts, and even some supposed cryptids are demonic. They exist to terrorize and deceive us. At least until proven otherwise. That's my testimony. God bless you all and stay safe!

Olivia Nicole There's been a few minor things but one of the ones that I won't forget is when I was laying in bed scrolling through Facebook and out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, so I took my phone and shone the light at my doorway and as soon as the light hit the area, a full body apparition (dark and shadowy) lunged at me and slammed it's hand down on the edge of my bed and just disappeared. Nothing too much has happened since then and I'm okay with that.

Dude that last story gave me chills because my dad told me a story about how when I was a baby, I used to talk to someone as if they were real but that nobody could see, and then one night when nobody was awake except him, he heard something whisper his name "Dan", in his ear, but the room was completely silent and when he checked if me or my mom were awake, we weren't, I believed him then but now I definitely do knowing that it happened to somebody else, who's is funnily enough also named Dan, lol

I have experienced something like Story 4. To this day it is one of the scariest things I've ever experienced, and the description they give for the creature is very similar to mine.
I'm at my friend's house who had a lot of eccentric beliefs. He believed that there was something "attached" to him, which he referred to as a demon. I remember asking of the demon was in the room with us, and he said yes. So, I asked, "Where??" And he pointed to the door.
And I saw a figure in front of it, at around 70% opacity, no features including no face, and it was really thin. But not bony really. It looked like it was just supposed to be super thin.
And when I looked, it gave me the most awful, dreadful, miserable feeling. A was crying instantly, it was horrible. And when I looked away, the feeling was gone, and so was that thing.
I never saw it again, but about three weeks later, a rat there bit into a wire, and burnt the place to the ground. I hope it took that thing with it 🤷

Corpse_husband - please don't worry. we get it. I am SO glad I found you! I used to listen to another guy bc I love real horror stories, but the guy's voice really irritates me. I tried to just ignore it and listen anyway. I'm not a troll or a mean person, and I honestly felt bad that I couldn't move passed something so silly, but the more I tried, the more annoyed I would get. I think it's the inflection he uses that bothers me.

When I was 2 in my crib my mom and dad walked in they said that they had heard me talking to someone but no one was no one there. My parents have been washed with religion , my mom a Roman Catholic who went to catechism, and my dad a United Protestant who maintained the church and had bible studies from my grandma. But, they both believe in ghosts and the paranormal. I had been seeing things ever since, well not see but feel. Oh, and to deal with shadow people, pointing white light at them like a bright LED flashlight or lamp because they like to hide in shadows, and sometimes engaging with the spirit isn't always the best thing particularly when it is demonic, you'll know, it'll talk in a deep voice, show images of a harmless little girl, but when stuff starts moving, or you have scratches and bruises call a trusted reliable medium. I don't care if you are all skeptic I'm just trying to help. hope it does some good.

+Corpse Husband number 2 and 4 freaked me out. i remember my teacher told me something similar to number two, but the spirit sat on his bed and in one occasion tried to choke him. in my old house, at some point my friend and i heard chains coming from my room closet..thing is, no one had lived there before as the house was built for us. then in the current house im living in, which was previously lived in, i always get weird feelings when i look in the hallway. but i associate that with watching supernatural videos :p that deal with myths.like chupacabras, the stories were widely spread where i live, as we border near mexico, it feels far more believable here.

So i moved into a 2 story house in an older area of Dallas. The house was built in the 1920s. Got a decent deal, the previous owners had kids, looked like they left the place in a hurry. Didn't have too much occur downstairs, but I would hear footsteps upstairs. When I first heard it, i ran up there, nobody there. I was so creeped out, everytime I had to go upstairs(which was rare) when I came back downstairs I would walk backwards down the stairs. I had this weird feeling that if I turned my back something was going to rush up on me and push me down the stairs. Got to a point that I would never go upstairs. When I would shut the backdoor to the house, the sound was distinctive. Every once in awhile, I would hear the backdoor slam. It made me jump, I would cautiously walk over there and the back door would be locked(with a dead bolt.) My neighbors had lived in their house for 15 years, they said at least a dozen people had moved in and moved out in less than a year. I only made it 5 months, and the constant footsteps / backdoor slamming drove me out of the house. Broke the lease, got my stuff, never went back. I never really believed in any of this stuff, but that particular house in old east Dallas had something wrong with it. I never used the upstairs(for storage or anything.) When I left, a Hispanic family moved in. I heard they lasted less than 3 months. Nothing has happened like this to me before this house, and hasnt happened since. But walking upstairs(the stairs were steep) I would always experience an undeniable feeling of dread. Very bizarre. Bradford street in Dallas.

I was staying on an island of the western swedish archipelago close to Gothenburg on vacation once. I lived in my grandmas old family house. It wasn't the first time but it was the first time this had ever happened. The room I was staying in had two beds that belonged to my grandma's sister and her recently deceased husband. I was staying with my younger brother. We went to sleep and then I hear a deep voice going nom noM NOM NOM and on the final one I felt a shove on my back. I rose out of the bed like a catapult and said wtf to my brother what did you do that for? But he didn't know what I was talking about. My brother is not very fast on his feet and the distance between the beds were too far for him to shove me and then quickly get back to bed and under his covers. This event scared the shit out of me.
I've been up all night watching these videos and honestly I'm scared shitless but I love it 😍
