ppkAssy, these are 3 factions in the Pyro system in Star Citizen. Players may allign their activities with one faction, and the others will become hostile to you in the lawless Pyro system. The Stanton system is lawful, The Cat Ear Armor is called StarKitten and comes in a few colors. Unsure if it's cuyurrently lootable or just available in the online merch store.
I keep coming back to see how development is going but the events are pretty neat. Honestly, this time I'm probably here to stay. btw you popped up on my recommended best of luck with your channel.
You get that helmet by killing someone wearing it. Could be an NPC, could be another player. And the Headhunters are a large pirate/slaver gang in the Pyro system. There are many factions in this lawless system.
You can buy that set if you are aligned with HH
Pyro is basically an abandoned star system that still has some people living there struggling to survive on a daily basis.
The 3 main groups are basically this:
1. Citizens of Prosperity, the basic citizens of Pyro. Just trying to live their lives in Pyro. Kind of completely Neutral archetype
2. Frontier Fighters, think that Pyro is a lost cause due to the rampant piracy, and seek to destroy the pirates, and anyone who tries to interfere with that goal. Kind of Lawful Evil archetype
3. Headhunters, are just lawless pirates. They want the freedom to do what they want, when they want. They run a good chunk of Pyro officially. Kind of Chaotic Evil archetype.
Basically you have Contracts you can do, (which are basically quests/missions with a different name), that are labeled as PRIORITY contracts. These are a part of the Fight for Pyro event, which is the Second chapter of the Save Stanton event from the previous updates. There are special rewards for doing BOTH events, but unfortunately if you didn't partake in the first part prior to Pyro's release, you no longer can. Once you do a SINGLE mission for one of the Factions, you are locked into that faction. As far as I can tell the reward is the same for all players, a Pyro themed SMG. But if you did the first event in Stanton you get a few paint jobs for a couple ships in the game.
Xenothreat is out there, too.
That's a lot of questions in 4 minutes lol.
I play this game full time but there are a lot of players who only come back for events like this.
There are 3 factions in the new Pyro systems but the faction system is still in it's infancy and there isn't a lot to do with it yet.
For the current event, you choose which faction you are going to do missions for and your reward at the end of the mission chain will change based on which one you choose. In this case, the rewards are different color ship skins. Feel free to add me if you do play this game, myself and my org are on all the time. Name is SonoJosh.
sorry for all the questions but thank you for all of the answers 😅
I have been playing for about a year and a half, the special events are a lot of fun, but being one of those dreaded pirates i mainly do piracy in day to day game play. Hope you join the verse and can become a future victim of mine😉
They *could* change the landscape of the game based on the results of this event, but they likely won't. Changing which factions control what would require a lot of work, and they don't have time for that right now.
Star Citizen is a dream game. Which means its like completely not done and there are tons of bugs and has been in development for 12 years but if you want to get into the game wait till next year because the story mode for Star citizen called Squadron 42 is coming out there is a trailer you can watch.
i need to watch squadron 42! what time next year?
Probably the..... 50th month of next year =D
I love SC, but SQ42 originally had an official release scheduled for 2016 =D so while it's possible they will hit the 2026 window. I wouldn't hold my breath.
Very wise words. But....
I envision SC42 being a success and sucking people into SC only for them to truly see what we have all been dealing with.
We can pray
The dates they give usually ate not accurate but this current sq42 date 2026 put them on a timer for sure and will make or break them most likely.
The SC gameplay isnt really there unless you have decent groups and almost everyone has every ship and wants people. That being said i come back because simply there has never been a game with as much potential as SC especially when it comes to shooters. The game gas always stood out for years even when there was nothing but hangars but realisticly it comes down to most shooter games never have much of an end game, most survival games become to easy and repetitive. And non of those offer the amount of vehicles ect even if everyone says star citizen isnt a survival game essensially the survival elements and the combat are going to be the backbone of why many would stay. The collection of materials ect are also way more interesting than a lot of MMo games but we have yet to see how painful or repetitive the crafting systems will be.
Crafters will want things to be rediculious but i figure many players would prefer aomething more akin to survival games where you can live off the land and figure out solutions if you are stuck. Both coukd be implemented but the PVP in the game is still a big potential positive or negitive depending since it can fuel hardcore players for years or it could kill out casual players over time, but the cheating element needs to be controled.
If SC is to last either the ai need to maintain a massive balance or anti cheat needs to be able to lock it down hard. Otherwise it will have to make it as a casual flight sim game.
Main thing is its been many years, the game has been rebuilt a few times, company has expanded constantly. Its still holding up with its potential after all of it. And people told me it was running bad recently i popped back on the other day and had 0 issues with anything. The ai and travel went smooth and the gunplay which i had doubts with for the single player game is feeling better a bit even with my 30 fps.
So it appears to be getting there and im more optimistic about the single player fps than i was but it still looked like a lot of slow gameplay to me originally.
