I was gifted this set as a wedding gift in 1988. The juicer was included instead of the food processor attachment. I still have the set, but not the husband. ;)
Useful. My mom gifted her mom one way back when it was new, worked long time to get enough money. Grandma used it once. Well, visited her over Christmas, and I had just moved to my own place. Asked her if she had any extra blenders or food processes and lo, this thing with ALL the attachments was still in her garage. Now it's mine and I'm learning how to use it and it's great
This mixer is a gem!! I have it in the color Harvest Gold and it is still going strong, have all the attachments too! I have used it since 1980 when it was purchased.
We have one passed down from so Dad. It works incredibly well. Unfortunately we lost a few parts in our move. But I'm slowly bringing all back together. This thing rocks!
My sister-in-law got just a blender in 1983 as her wedding gift. She moved to States in 1988 and my husband moved in her apartment she left every with him. I got married in 1998. Since then I am using it, and today I found out that it has other parts too!
My mother had one of these for my entire childhood all the way up until high School she always got it rebuilt whenever it broke to the repairman and told her that they were no more parts for it I definitely want to get one of these someday
And I agree, it’s a shame that Oster doesn’t make this type of small appliance anymore. I want a KitchenAid Stand Mixer in the future but if my step-grandmother gives her vintage Oster Kitchen Center to me, I’ll take it.
Whatever you do, DO NOT spend any $ on a Kitchen Aid stand mixer . Customer service at Kitchen Aid more often than not does not respond to consumer concerns. Such poorly constructed machines despite being overpriced. I had two useless Kitchen Aid Pro Series (one being Williams Sonoma premium model) & I thought my first was a just a lemon, but the second machine lasted less than six months as well! They overheat after 5 min of kneading dough and stop, and they wobbled terribly because parts that should have been welded inside were simply glued! Having said that, Sunbeam Mixmasters overheat when mixing dough as well and when that happens, they are toast as they don't have the overheating auto shut-off built in, like Kitchen Aid. The 1980s Oster Kitchen Center believe it or not is much beefier and will knead a dough recipe of up to 7 cups of flour until the gluten is beautifully developed. Stick with a good old unit like Oster, or if you bake a lot, invest in an Ankarsrum....which costs less than two Kitchen Aid Pro Series. Happy Baking!
You can still buy 2nd in USA ..I have managed to find a couple of complete ones in very good condition...Very good devices ..Too hard to replace..Need too many machines ..
I bought one of these at an estate sale in Jan. Mine was only the blender mixer, 2 bowls, beaters, bread hooks and the thing the bowl sits on, I would love to have all of the attachments! My dream in a kitchenAid stand mixer, but this works.
Kitchenaid is starting to get a pretty bad reputation with smoking motors and not holding up to heavier jobs like bread dough. I just bought a new mixer this week and was super excited to finally get a kitchenaid... until I started reading consumer reviews and decided to go with a Kenwood Chef Major instead, more powerful and nearly flawless reviews. The other top contender I was considering was the Ankersrum mixer (Swedish built) but it was juuust a little too pricey for my budget, but it was so different from the others and again, amazing reviews. Whatever you decide, good luck. :)
I just bought a oster kitchen center too! It belonged to the previous owner's mom and she has no more room to store it so she sold it to me. It came with the blender, salad slicers attachment?, juice extractor, meat grinder, ice breaker, 2 beaters,2 dough hook and 2 bowls. I wanted the KA too but this is a better use for money and better value.

I have had mine since the 1980's It is complete as yours. I have used it off and on over the years just never daily, like maybe 4 times a year. I am wanting to fry some food that calls for bread crumbs and I was trying to figure out how to grind them up. I keep mine in a kitchen cabinet and the only thing I was missing was the food processor. So I went to the closet where I keep a lot of odds and ends for my food vacuum machine and there it was. So as you can tell I never used it before. Thanks for the video as I would not have known that otherwise. Great post. Oh I always use it at Christmas to make dough for the Date Nut Cookies that everyone likes. One more thing that I like about it and that is it does not weigh near what the Kitchen Aid does which I cannot even move or it is a great strain to move. Great Post.
Glad you like yours! I still use mine regularly. I use the slicer/shredder a lot. I also like that it's not too heavy. The food processor works great. I hope you find it useful!

The two mixer and bread maker beaters are a little different. Make sure the one that is near the edge of the bowl wall is the one that is smaller or tapered so it won’t hit the bowl walls. Also, the mixer blade has a plastic clip on it the smaller bowl wall beater.
The mixer head clicks in, in two locking spots on the base of the unit (left and right side if you’re standing in front of it). There’s a diagram on the mixer head, of where to plug the beaters in. Hope this helps!
Is it only when you're using the mixer head? If so, it could be the gearbox in the mixer head attachment, in which case I would just order a working replacement online (ebay).
FYI- the mixer attachment goes on facing both ways. This is so you can have the meat grinder facing the bowl when its on the turntable.

Hello. I have finally been able to put my hand on this exact Oster kitchen centre you are showing now. Mine is doing a crazy noise and shake. Is there any suggestions to use it properly ? I believe I followed all the steps. It's not as smooth as you. Thank you for your review and suggestions
The two mixer and bread maker beaters are a little different. Make sure the one that is near the edge of the bowl wall is the one that is smaller or tapered so it won’t hit the bowl walls.
Also, the mixer blade has a plastic clip on it the smaller bowl wall beater.
Make sure you have the rounded beater next to the bowl and the more squared one to the center of the bowl.
How do I connect the beating tool
The mixer head clicks in, in two locking spots on the base of the unit (left and right side if you’re standing in front of it). There’s a diagram on the mixer head, of where to plug the beaters in. Hope this helps!
Hello, does anyone know how to detach the larger food grater/ slicer lid from the base? I want to change the blade.
Sure. You twist the clear part of the slicer until it unlocks, then the top lifts off, giving access to the swappable blade.
Que cuesta donde lo puedo conseguir
Where can I get an instruction and recipe book for this.
I would try ebay. Hope you can find them!
I have an instruction book. Let me know if you need copies from it. It’s big and has a lot of recipes
I have one of those. Had it for over 20 years. It works, but it's failing. Anyone knows where I can get another Oster similar to this one?
I have one brand new

Donde se pueden comprar los accesorios en Panamá/Panamá?
Ebay o Amazone
I have one of those and in 35 years I just pulled it out to make bread. The rest of the gadgets I don’t care for. It’s a Good blender otherwise.
Nice! I use the mixer, blender, slicer, and food processor pretty often.
Does anyone know how to fix screeching sound when using mixer?
Is it only when you're using the mixer head? If so, it could be the gearbox in the mixer head attachment, in which case I would just order a working replacement online (ebay).
Mine does the same...i'd turn it off then start again
I remember seeing the base for one of these once at a thift store. Dont remember seeing attachments tho
