Barber Tutorial: Low (Drop) Bald Fade with Curly Hair

In this video, MC Barber will be demonstrating how to create a low (drop) fade leaving curls on top.

-0:30 Mc begins with a 1 1/2 metal guard on Oster clippers to remove the bulk while creating a foundation.
-1:32 Starting the fade from 0, he uses Andis trimmers.
-1:40 MC switches to Wahl clippers using a closed blade, adjusting the lever when necessary.
-2:15 Fading down to avoid removing unwanted hair, MC uses a 1 plastic guard on Wahl clippers.
-3:40 MC moves to a 1/2 plastic guard on Wahl clippers.
-4:05 To ensure MC removes any excess hair, he uses a 1 1/2 plastic guard on Wahl clippers.
-4:28 MC uses a straight edge razor to create a shape up and taper his fade to skin.
-6:29 He returns to Andis trimmers to further blend the fade.
-7:26 To ensure the fade is blended to it's full potential, he uses a closed blade on Wahl clippers.
-8:26 He uses a 1/2 plastic guard on Wahl clippers to further blend it.
-10:15 He uses a hair cutting razor to blend the sides to the fade while removing bulk.
-10:47 MC uses a palm to knuckles technique to remove length from the side of the hairstyle.
-12:05 Moving to the top of the head, MC uses scissors over knuckles to remove length.
-13:05 To further blend the top of the hairstyle into the fade, he uses scissors over comb.
-13:25 Watch a quick blow dry/style.

Good work Mc. I wanna suggest you that try applying water or foaming gel around ear and at the back where you use razor to shave. It prevents skin allergies like redness, blisters, cuts. 🙇

He has more experience then us using a razor. Yo don't need water or gel if you know what you are doing.

It depends on skin type and also knowing your customers. Some of mine I always use some kind of product before using a razor and other, I don't. I'm guessing MC also knows this customer.
