-1:13 Using a 3 plastic guard on his Wahl clippers, he begins his fade.
-2:35 Removing the 3 plastic guard, he starts to taper the back using an open blade.
-3:01 Continuing to taper the neck, he switches to a 1 1/2 plastic guard on his Wahl clippers.
-3:24 Tapering down, he moves to a 1 plastic guard on his Wahl clippers. Tapering down will help avoid the removal of unwanted hair.
-4:20 He moves on to the side burns.
-5:04 Using Andis trimmers, he shapes up the hairline.
-7:12 Moving to the top of the head, MC uses scissors over knuckles.
-9:12 Learn scissors over comb to blend the sides and back into the top of your hairstyle.

I just cut my son's hair with clippers like that.... welll... kinda like that... I hope your son's curly hair came out lookin' good! I remember someone saying that curly hair is very "forgiving" , lol! I hope my kid doesn't look too hard at the back tho'!!

Early in our relationship, a couple of “stylists” used clippers on his hair and it looked as though they had mowed his head. Yuk!!! I certainly didn’t want that to be my first experience using clippers in his curly locks- and thanks to you, it wasn’t. All because you took your time and really called out while demonstrating how to properly use the clippers and not be afraid to “freestyle” when necessary. So how do you cut the curly hair very short just with a clipper? My husband has curly, thick hair and gets headaches if his hair starts to grow a little. Short, short, short! Not one lenght. Like 2 on side and back and 4 on top. Very curly.
