He doesn't usually do that at big concerts because he would have an In Ear Monitor in to hear himself but since they don't have those here he puts his finger in his ear to hear himself better.

Man Gates is truly a master craft artist in our generation. He'll go down as Van Halen and the greats before him. Love this performance.

This is the first time Avenged Sevenfold has gone fully, properly acoustic, in recorded history. Required help from Brian Haner I and a string section, but it definitely worked like magic.

I think Brooks is extremely happy to have made the choice and given the opportunity to join and be apart of Sevenfold, especially at a great time like this. They have had so many exciting stuff planned and for brooks this must be a dream come true. Yes he was in bad religion but Sevenfold are taking things too a new level and have no limits and he gets to join the ride and just in one years he’s been a part of some amazing experiences and even more experiences behind the scenes that we haven’t been able to see. And we can all see how Sevenfold enjoys having him around as well. And the Rev is looking down at this amazing thing he helped create and is so happy to see how far its come. Rip Rev, and long live Sevenfold, the greatest band on the entire planet.

Bad Religion was definitely holding him back. How long can someone play simple ass punk beats when they are a world class drummer deep down? I'm sure he felt like he was in a dead end gig, both musically, aaannd financially. Now he's got all the creative freedom in the world, and as a side perk, he's making fucking BANK. But yea, his unique and totally original playing is insanely similar to the Rev's. If an afterlife exists, and the Rev is seeing this, I'm sure he would approve of Brooks taking his place.

Damn, man. All the instruments are at a perfect volume to create this song in all it's greatness. A lot of live performances will have certain instruments lacking but everything here is perfect down to the last violin
i'm pretty sure it's because this was recorded straight frm the source and mixed and mastered professionally, usually live recordings are just a guy in the crowd using his phone to record lol

M. Shadows voice has really evolved. Considering what he's gone through with his voice, he managed to sound incredible and still uniquely himself, even if a bit different.
I was listening to this thinking how much he sounds like Chris Cornell (who is and always will be one of my all-time favorite vocalists). Incredible how Shadows has adjusted his range and tone. I'm so impressed with this performance, though it's a shame he can no longer safely belt it out like he did for the LBC show.
Roman Sky has become one of my favourite A7X songs. The Stage is already my favourite album, and this song is definitely up there.
My personal favorite will always be Exist, but Roman Sky is up there.

I am 33 and i have been a fan since I was 16 years old. Inspired me to play guitar and start my own band. Been my favorite band since.
I just have to be honest this the most incredible live performance I’ve ever seen especially in this quiet acoustic setting I know this band isn’t for everyone but they’ve been one of my favorites since I started to figure out what music is and this band has been through so much and to see them finallly get some of the love and recognition they deserve as one of the greatest groups to ever grace us with there talents warms my heart!

Fucking nailed it anyways, perfect, sounded just like it was on an album.
This was a lot better than the album version. Shadows really poured his soul into this performance. The string section and Gates' harmonies really complimented his dedication. And the band as a whole, along with Brian Haner I and the string section, really stuck together, as if they were sharing the same brain. Even though this was freaking flawless, they didn't leave their modesty and humility at home. Respect.
mrknockknock1 you know what? Yeah, I like it more than the album version. Sounds more natural and classic with no unnatural cuts and no electric guitar. It sounds less manufactured and recorded, and more like a band of bards telling the story of a great Roman general.

Roman Sky is inspired by Giordano Bruno (born 1548 - Died 17 February 1600). The Catholic Inquisition, under direct orders from Pope Clement VIII, had him taken to the Campo de' Fiori (a central Roman market square). There, he had his "tongue imprisoned because of his wicked words", was hung upside down naked, and then burned at the stake. His ashes were then thrown into the Tiber river. His crime? Proposing that the stars were distant suns surrounded by their own planets, raising the possibility that these planets might foster life of their own(cosmic pluralism), and insisting that the universe is infinite and could have no "center".

Pure perfection!!.. Best live, accoustic song that I've ever heard in my life!!.. It beautifully rocks!!.. Matt Shadows voice is on point, sounds amazing.. They all sound amazing!!.. The whole band is so talented!! Individually their amazing artists, perfectionist, they make their instruments scream if you know what I mean.. So when they come together as a band it's mind blowing.. I can't get enough of them.. I've watched endless interviews of them and their all so hummble that sometime I wonder if they realized how great, amazing, talented of a band they are.. @@fingersdrum2333 they all did to some extent, but you'll hear a Lot more prominent Jimmy backup vocals than the others before we lost him. Brian has really stepped up since, and his voice has improved quite a bit too (based, at least, on prior live shows I was at 😂)

I noticed something cool while watching this. My tv was playing & If you watch its always sunny in Philadelphia, watch the episode "Charlie has cancer". Theres an old A7X Waking the fallen sticker on the bathroom wall in the bar!
