- Here's more footage from the Trainee's perspective that was taken while I was a Basic Training Platoon Leader (you can see me at the end of the video). This is from fire team blank fire, where four soldiers, in 2 buddy teams, maneuver through a lane engaging targets (this is done with no ammo first, dry, then followed by what is shown in the video, blanks, and then live ammunition.
Shot on Gopro Hero 7 Black.

1. He yells contact instead of returning fire immediately as for safety reasons, as they are still new, they can only shoot from a barrier.
Yeah I’m at Benning right now and we have to shoot 1-2 shots before getting to the first barrier and echo the 3ds
@@Bravo5SoldierLTsame how I did it as well
Great video of BASIC training and skills! It's always good to see the real world version instead of slick, overproduced and edited flashy videos. Learn: Shoot Move Communicate. The 'I'm up...he sees me.. I'm down" is what you say in your head to act as a "timer" so you don't stay exposed to the enemy for too long. You could also think of it as '"I'm running..oh s**t he saw me.. I need to get down in the dirt NOW!"
Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
Thanks glad you liked the raw look! I actually have an edited “hype” video that I made too, was one of my first things I created which has led me to being a Public Affairs Officer now.
Just graduated OSUT last night!
Any advice?
You came in as an 11x or 11b ?
@@hashleygordon5872 ALL infantry contracts are 11X. You get put in 11B or C.
@@oliverb.8995Not true, that only applies to active duty.
Lol this shit was easy during the daytime. Once the nods were on, everyone was getting screamed at. Good times.
NVGs mess with depth perception so much, trained soldiers struggle to navigate without firing with NVGs 😆
Y'all's leaders never took you for a walk. Nods are easy, so are IR beams. Either of ya capable of doing a front line trace? Can ya rope up a 9 line? What about back stops for movement? I'll bet neither of you sat down for the op ord..the frago..or the sand table.........
Was a refrad from FT jackson back in 2019, took 2 years to fix a lot of paperwork, but now I can re-enlist in june this time im going Infantry. Hated being a split-op and being in the reserves.
I understand that, good luck in the infantry and through basic training!
Message me, I was a reserve 91B and did the same route
I will be there in June... I'm honestly nervous for it
It definitely can be intense and a big change for many people but once you’re done with it you’ll look back and realize it was fun/easy!
u shipping june 28th too?
@Mc Lovin. Nah man I ship out on June 22nd 11b
@@zachariahkerkof3536 shii i ship out june 28 11b also
@@adrianestrella5975 i ship out that same day lmao
Miss this.
I leave for benning on Tuesday 11x
Get it done! Good luck!
@@FitOneTech thank you going to be an tough 22 weeks but I’ll make it through
Me too bro
Literally in the hotel in Baltimore rn lmao
@@juliansalazar290 I am in the one in Montgomery right now
Miss doing this.
Three interations. Yossed a 'set' after attempting shooting. Cadre even told him 'these aren't BOBs' This is BRM..colloquially known as IMT.
hard to tell form the video, but it looks like this soldier's barrel may be resting on the barricade. That's a bad habit as it almost certainly causes a deviation in zero.
This is my sons Company A 1-50 (Wolf Attack) Hes in the Blacksheep, Platoon #2
Just started infantry ait a week ago in benning.
How is it so far?
Got your phone?
@@UnOfficialDTK Finished about 3 weeks ago, only got my phone 30 mins on some sundays
Man when I didn’t retain my mag, the DS chucks that shit at my helmet and started yelling at me
I definitely had a different experience and did many things differently lol
Your M68 CCO isnt even on lol. Alpha Co. 3-47 Fort benning
Just got back from Basic as a STO-1, Easy Co 3-47! Was your bay at the Treadwell Barracks? According to our DS they recently moved to the Moye Complex.
I want to do this but I really don’t want my old foot injury to act up 😔
You only live once
Just tough it out
im on week 15
Which company is this Solider from?
A 1-50
@@FitOneTech My sons company .my son is in platoon #2 Blacksheep
Charlie 2-54 was mine some years ago. Miss it a lot
At 0:58 or 0:59 I swear a live round just got ejected
I see what it looks like, it’s the shadow on the end lol but it’s definitely been properly ejected
I saw that too...The ejection on that round definitely looked different than the others... but it still cycled.
Can anyone record with a gopro, or did he need special permission?
I recorded the footage by putting my personal GoPro on them. My job was to capture footage and post it so as an officer I was able to record freely.

Should have fired on contract instead of making cover
That is correct and they are taught that. For their first time maneuvering (during the basic portion) they do not fire until behind barriers for safety purposes. During the advanced portion they do shoot upon presentation of target.
@@FitOneTech alpha 247 1st platoon 11-b just turned green lol so it’s still fresh in my mind
@@Mr.SatanicTurkey agh gotcha. Congratulations. Enjoy HBL and get ready to finish and get that blue cord! 👍🏻
Why u looking to your left when u saying I got u covered, look at who ur shooting at🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
It’s hard to hear with live rounds and the distance between teams. so yes you have to look from time to time to communicate with your other fire team, when bounding on an offensive push. While obviously the threat needs to be suppressed if you can’t communicate you can’t move. They are also new and it’s BASIC training.
You’ve never been in combat before have you 😂🤣
That’s a shitty CCO tie down
LOL looked like a shoestring...or maybe hollow paracord. But if it works, it works!
