Why do they build summer jackets in black? I would assume lighter colors, especially white, would be cooler. Black absorbs a lot of heat

I think I can help you sir. Imagine if you will a man on a motorcycle wearing a white jacket with a fetching white pant. Perhaps he gets off with a swagger, a little bee gees playing on the radio, “oh you can tell by the way I use my walk, I’m a women’s man no time to talk” quite the sight indeed but perhaps not something appropriate in 2022.

Hey, Brandon, it would be great to have mentions of CE Level and protection standards met by clothing pieces mentioned in these quick rides. It would give your opinion of comfort, value, style, wearability, etc AND safety in one place which would be very helpful. Anecdotal statements, like, "I feel like it would keep me safe in the event of an off" don't offer much in the way of context. You could be wearing a CE A rated piece, like the GT-R Air 3, which is only rated for in-town speeds of about 45 kph (15 m slide for 3 seconds), and without that safety rating/context potential buyers or those riders who are less informed about safety ratings/standards may assume it's safe for their B-road/highway commute or riding style when it's not. It defitinely an important consideration with gear being so expensive and many riders needing multi use/ride adaptable pieces. Just putting the suggestion out there.

I think Revit are really stepping up their game lately. Love this. The question for me is always about room and comfort for the Dainese Air vest, or the Tech Air 5 underneath. I never ride without one of these on. So def curious about how much bigger I should go with this... I love the design though.

REV’IT gear is sized ridiculously small. I’m 5’10” 180lbs and their XL was snug. I liked the style and quality but couldn’t find anything that fit comfortably at my local Triumph/REV’IT dealer. Ended up with with Dainese as usual.

I just used an RST Ventilator X jacket on a 10,000km ride through Central Australia. Excellent jacket, comfortable in the high 30s © and good down to 12C with the liner in. A good fit too.

I have 3 mesh jackets and by far the best from an airflow and protection perspective is the Knox Urbane Pro Mk2. It has to be 90 degrees or more before I wear it by itself otherwise if flows too much air. Amazing is is CE AA rated.

My GT-R Air 2 was the best jacket I ever owned, It made daily commuting in south Texas bearable.
I just can't get past the styling of the GT-R 3, I don't like the giant reflective patches on this new one, the outline pin striping on the old one was better in my opinion.

This is more of a Euro fit and style. I'll have to check with the staff at RevZilla to see what might work for the tall (especially long arm) sizes. For me an XL usually fits the arm length. However the rest of the jacket is too roomy for a good fit. Do any of the jackets that RevZilla carries have tall sizes? Thanks. What a beautiful Triumph machine you're riding!!

So it doesn't fit well. Like most mc wear it's sized to small. Unless you are tiny you wind up with something two times your normal size to not be squeezed somewhere. But airflow is great.

A little late in the season for this review, Brandon! Anyway…
    - Nice stretch of road you're on: where in PA/NJ is this? (I'm a bit North of you, but curious.)
    - My current mesh jacket is a low-end number I got from the Zilla a few years back: Highway 21 Turbine. Good basic jacket whose sins are more of omission than commission. The RevIt! jacket looks good, but as I'm slightly shorter and a bit less-svelte than you, I'm not totally certain that's the ticket for me. (I *did* check out Merlin's Chigwell Lite at the Brooklyn store, and have that on my shortlist for next year as an upgrade from the Turbine.)
    Keep up he good content!

@Fee I had some sport jackets same brand by Dainese. Same size 50. One of them had a race hump and titanium armor plating, the other had a good sporty fit but the one with the race hump felt closer and more solid while wearing it. This is what we mean by a more aggressive sport oriented fit 💁‍♂️
