    Love the look of the Klim Marrakech, but GBP 450???? Come on lads...you're taking the piss. How about some real world prices for normal people?

    It is said that Knox has impressive armor. But to know whether Knox armor is actually impressive they should disclose the residual force that their armor gets in the certification tests.
    We know that some pieces of SAS-TEC armor are actually impressive because they pass level 2 certification by 50%. They disclose that data. That could be called "level 3" armor.

    Urban Rider seems to love Knox stuff but for me other than the micro lock compact armour (which they refused to give the residual force data for unlike other armour providers) I found the Revit Nucleus to be far more air flowing, and comfortable. Knox is always banging on about "no jacket required" yet their Urbane, Honister, Tor etc are quick thick and heavy and definitely more of a jacket than something like Pando Moto's commando, or Adventure Specs Supershirt. The Revit Nucleus is something in between. More breathable, lighter, and more comfortable material. It does lack some stretch though which is mind boggling.

    I have the Klim Marrakesh suit and their Induction Suit. Induction much greater venting.

    Living in Thailand these are all year around jackets for me. We had days up to 44 deg C in April.

      What do you find works well? We rode the north for 3 weeks last December and have spent lots of time riding in other hot and humid areas. Always looking for the right balance of saftey and comfort with some off bike style when touring. Cheers

      @@timsbike4887 I wear the Rev'it eclipse 2 pants and jacket. Well armoured, light weight and meshed. I sometimes soak my undershirt in water to get some evaporative cooling going.

    I still have first urbane pro from your shop, when it rains I just drive it as it is - it will dry quickly lol. Good that they fixed wrist mounting - because on mine it was broken and I had to get it fixed.

    Appreciate the detail in the video. Be interested to try some Knox on, but never found it at any stores I frequent here in Texas. Just purchased a Cortech air mesh jacket to replace my previous 10yo Cortech air mesh. Will see how that works. Thanks for the content!

    It's funny how we all find something we don't really think about, to be so different. I find the Rev'it Seeflex armour to be the best there is. In saying that though, it doesn't touch the D3O armour in my Rukka Kemi jacket for protection but those are huge armour pieces.

    • @Fourwedge
      @Fourwedge 4 місяці тому

      Rukka's armour is awesome

      You gotta try the new Knox micro lock armor it's was felt like a blessing go me.
      I own d3o old armor, d3o Ghost Armor, Rev'it SeaSmart armor but none of these is as soft, light and smooth on the body like the new Knox armor. You don't even feel it's on.
      I just purchased their new Action Shirt Pro MK2 after owning an Urbane Pro for a few years. I was stunned by the quality and comfort. 10/10
      I still think that the Action Pro is so light that it's better than a heavier mesh jacket that allows airflow. At least here in 30c+ degrees from May till October.

    most of the knox stuff looks good, but the styling on the tor is terrible. And the "waterproof" shell is only 10k, which isn't waterproof. It would be more correct to say it's water resistant.

    • @yoyo3028

      It's more of a jacket than an underlayer. Revit is clearly targeting the ADV crowd with this, meant to be worn with a good outer shell. I'm not a big fan of their protectors, as they are bulky and stiff compared to SAS-Tec or Knox.
      I also don't like the look of the deep neck cutout. It's evident they designed it with the intention of wearing something over it without causing bulk around the neck and throat.
      But overall it’s a good piece, worth the money, fantastic quality and details but wasn’t the right one for me

    I'm thinking on going the layers way and between the Revit Nucleus and the Knox, but have some concerns on fit as I am not slim fit and have a beer belly, which one do you think would be more comfortable? Any other brand to look at?

    • @yoyo3028
      @yoyo3028 Місяць тому

      To be honest, all of them have a rather tight fit.
      Maybe have a look at the modeka shielder. Because of the straight cut it will be wider at the stomach when you also have a fair chest circumference

    How do the warm weather capabilities of the riding shirts, from your previous video, compare to these mesh jackets? For a climate like the UK/Netherlands can you get away with just a riding shirt in the summer? (I'm assuming the shirts will be slightly warmer than the mesh jackets)

    Single A rating in 2024 is wild to me. That's absolute dog shit from something as expensive (but so good looking) as Belstaff. Knox however keeps knocking it out of the park

    I live in Hong Kong and have the Klim Baja. Perfect for hot, humid weather. Fabulous quality and great design. I have to say that it's American sizing though. I had to go down a size compared to my Belstaff jackets.
