This guy isn’t balanced. In life you most of us draw from being within a group a marriage a family. His voice and intensity are not healthy for Corning relationships. He is studied and observed by certain men that think this is the epitome of manhood “stay hard”. Whiles I get it a lot of it I don’t! Switching off having a laugh chilling out coming home playing with your kids seeing your wife is what most balance humans are about. This man talks all of this but is selling a product hence the podcasts selling his new book. However he doesn’t have a chick or treat to call his own. No children no family no wife. I don’t consider this out purpose on this earth indeed don’t find it healthy at all!

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I have always been a hard charger. 4 yrs ago I had a frozen shoulder. The doctor required therapy before surgery. That was 2 years of horrable pain and restriction. Got fat, 55 lbs. Retired and have been completely lost. This has given me hope and direction. So grateful for a path forward.

@@palek555 Damn man I wasted around the same amount of years doing jack sht. Felt absolutely horrible by the end of those years, especially when I compared myself to my friends who had gotten their life together during those precious years I wasted.
That year where all my regrets, procrastinations.. finally came crashing down on me was the worst. I felt suffocated and had cornered myself so badly that it could've been the end.
Fortunately around that exact time I came across people like Jordan Peterson, Jocko Wilink and Goggins.
Their words and the example they hold themselves to, it saved me. I never met them or know how they really are as people in private, but I'll forever be grateful to them.
Since then, these last 3 years I've been on a life resetting journey. Initially all I did was listen to them for hours daily. Trying to change- learn good habits, get rid of the useless ones.
Failed miserably for months. But around a year, a few habits started to stick.
Once that happened, it started to snowball from there. Never looked back!
Man I hope your journey is going great too. I don't know you at all but I truly, sincerely hope you're still on that uphill path. The road never gets easy but it's a relief to know that I'm not the only one.
That there's somone out there who's also struggling but is on it. Never giving up.

David Goggins is truly an inspiration to anyone who has ever wanted to push their limits. His incredible story and journey of self-improvement is one that we should all try to follow as closely as possible. He has proven over and over again what the power of determination and dedication can do, even in the face of adversity. His story is one that should motivate us all to never give up on our dreams and goals - no matter how hard they seem. Great stuff Chris!

I just went for job interviews, and I even stuttered while being interviewed, but I don't care anymore 'cause I can't let it ruin my life any further. I started to take phone calls. Sometimes, I still stutter over my name and still manage to push through it. I started to do the work, like reading out loud every day. I'm not sure how long it's gonna take, but I'll keep going as one of the murakami's quotes: We can't sit and stare at our wounds forever. And this video really hit me.

I've been watching Goggins compilations before coming here, with various quotes, including some from this conversation. It struck me that when I first heard him saying: "you have to go back to the mental lab", and not wallow in success, I received the message as though he were addressing me, the audience. But here, with context, I saw that he was talking to himself. And then it hit me: his self-conversation is the same as his outward message. When he talks about 'you', he addresses his audience and himself simultaneously and in equal measure. I think Goggins understands this, and it is what makes his message so powerful. It requires very little translation from one person's situation to another. You will always have to deal with you.

I find Goggins very relatable. The experiences he has gone through are so similar to me, though it was a lesser degree that I went through it. The last 5 years has been me trying to fight for what I want for a change. I have failed at almost everything, BUT I am in a better place now than I was 5 years ago. Mentally, physically and emotionally. It is great to be able to look back at myself 5 years ago and smile at the progress that I have made. It does build a shit ton of confidence to know, that all these failures have built me to be stronger, and better at attempting for the win. I may have failed at most little things, but the bigger picture is, I'm winning.

WAY too much of the shit on UA-cam is completely watered down and ruined by flashy edits and stupid hype music, companied by a meat head podcaster, slapping his arms or beating their chest or roaring like it's all about male solidarity. It's not. Goggins is about inner strength found through darkness, and as someone who looks for as much Goggins wisdom as possible. How much have I been underperforming? Am I proud of myself? Have I been able to embrace and own my traumas? Have I pushed myself enough? What do I stand for? What is my mission statement? Based on this podcast, the purpose in life is oneself; our own self is the main purpose. What is meaningful truly motivates us to move forward.
David Goggins shared his experiences pushing himself to the limit in some of the toughest races around the world, including a 150-mile marathon that he completed in weeks, marathons where he had to come back and finish later because he was so physically beaten up that he couldn’t continue. In some races, he had to use baby cream in his eyes due to the miles he ran, which was not healthy at all. To qualify and participate in one of the toughest races in the world, a 150-mile race, he needed to run straight for at least 100 miles from San Diego, using an elliptical or a bike. At mile 70, he was dying and needed to use the bathroom so badly that he urinated on himself and pushed through to reach mile 100, qualifying for the race.
What's crazy about this? I recently recovered from an injury, taking one year to recover. For me, 3 miles was a big deal, sometimes struggling even to walk short distances. But I trained hard to get to those 3 miles and, surprisingly, I excelled in the race, surprising everyone, setting a personal record in my division at 37 years old.
The conclusion: I have always underperformed because I underestimated what I was capable of. Everyone acknowledged my achievements, but I didn't.
When you face a problem, trauma, or encounter negativity, it challenges you to work harder. I studied narcissistic people and their behavior, enabling me to navigate and protect myself from such personalities. Goggins talked about the one-second ultimate edge decision, emphasizing that every second in life is an opportunity to give up. I implemented this mindset; every second counts. He shared his routine: waking up at 5 AM, jogging for an hour or two, going to the gym, working out, and doing two blocks of yoga before bedtime.
I learned a lot from this podcast. You guys do amazing work. God bless you, and thank you!

First of all congratulations Chris! I can only imagine how you must feel right now being the only person besides Rogan (‘our Oprah‘) releasing an interview with Goggins. What a milestone.
Goggins’ take on not letting a bad father figure be a cop-out or justification for one's own failure was deep.
My favorite part though was your answer to your bully’s letter of remorse. Truly inspiring! Class act! 👏🏼

Just a note for people taking up running. It is easy to misconstrue David's messages to mean go out there and push yourself as hard as you can all the time. For running as a beginner this will most likely cause injury. He advocates training by heart rate (which is moderate/easy running) which is widely accepted as the best method (often known as maffetone training). The pushing yourself part is showing up and getting after it almost every day. This will make you a good runner. You have to (for most people) build a base of fitness and strength before doing the harder training.
    Source: learned the hard way.
    All the best!

, “it takes a different kind of mindset, I don’t expect anyone to understand it, but one percent, but the loud voices of this word are the 99% who don’t understand exactly what needs to be done, that’s why when I speak and u don’t understand me, it’s prolly a good thing, that prolly means that I’m in an area of life you’re not in, which is fine, that’s why I don’t judge people, unless you’ve been there and done that, then you really can’t speak on it” THIS HIT ME HARD ❤❤❤❤❤
