They are really good here but I'm happy that they have a second guitar player now so they can play the songs in their full beauty and heaviness. On the records you can hear two guitars and I miss the rhythm guitar in live material like this.
They are four guys since 2017. Despite that in the studio versions you always hear 2 guitars. That means there are certain rhythm guitar parts missing in this concert video here from 2016. The last song is a really good example for this because both the lead guitar and the rhythm guitar are really present in the studio version. I'm happy that they are four guys now because I always missed the rhythm guitar parts in their concerts until 2017.
44:00 to 46:00 jam was because bass amp or bass head took a piss not the bass player. He switched heads or amps & they picked up the song from there. Still awesome ... def not planned!
Tubes blow man...its just something that happens. When I went and saw Yawning Man the guitar player had his amp go out like that during the first song. He just stood there and wondered who was going to take care of it for him. He looked like a spoiled brat and the problem wasn't fixed by anyone until the song was over. It is nice to see that this guy took care of it himself in less than 2 minutes.
This is the best era of this band, I like how they keep expanding their sound each album, but this was my personal favorite period. It’s all great though!
The whole band is sensational. All three (now 4) contribute in a way that we can enjoy them individually in these videos. By far one of my favs. Gotta find them on their next tour.
These dudes are one of the best live bands out there. I saw them in New Orleans in 2015 and it blows my mind that they're able to pull off these monstrous songs live. Finding this video made my day. Thanks, guys, and I can't wait to hear the new record!
I was wondering how they were gonna close "Release" because in the EP it fades out in the end. But damn! This one is even better. Elder easily my favourite band right now.
He started using Hiwatt amps recentlyish, but from what I remember in a Reddit AMA gear from this show was rented (explains Jacks bass amp dying, wasn’t his)
Also, a friend and I went to this show, and we stood RIGHT In Front of Nick, like my knee was on the stage the entire show cause people pushing forward. Was insane
His modded Sound City is still part of the backline they use for US shows. They just didn't take it to europe with them in favour for some killer 70s Hiwatts.
elder is fucking awesome
0:33 Dead Roots Stirring
12:52 Compendium
24:19 Untitled Jam
27:17 Legend
40:29 Sanctuary

A little late, I know, but thanks for the set list. 🤘🏻
Fucking hell, even live - the outro to Sanctuary is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.
His amp blew out from the legendary riffs.

44:40 - 46:00 made me love this band haha what a save!
it's really the part when you notice the bass cause it's not here
Great recovery by the bass player at the 45 min mark after the rig problem. The band played on...
This band has such a huge sound for a three piece. Every one of them is a master of their craft.
Check out YOB
@@spencerbrooke3150 love Yob!
@@E-Chap Best band I've ever seen live!
@@spencerbrooke3150 Nice man, I've never seen them live but I fuckin love them. I'll be sure to go to a show once they start touring again
Yo when the bass cuts out during sanctuary and they own it like that, fucking right 🤘
I found these guys about a year ago. They're my favorite band right now. Such good riffs. Hard to believe such noise only comes from three guys.

46:00 such a perfect transition from fuckery to getting back into the song!
Such good musicians.
Love how they just keep shredding relentlessly during technical difficulties. This band is awesome.
that spontaneous solo t 44:40 ... n1!
Holy shit get these dudes a roadie! Bass player was rad on the save, fuck yeah!

THAT was a pretty impressive bit of showmanship. And musicianship. They kick ass.
Agreed. And fun to see!

The jam actually starts at 45:00. Everything you hear between 44-45 is in the actual song

Fantastic job of capturing this show.

I wish I could like this video a few more times just for the bassist.
Beautiful recovery during Sanctuary :)
Bassist went for a piss during solo, came back (46:00) and seamlessly transitioned in the next riff... beautiful...
His amp blew there.
