I got a wolf hybrid when I was 17. She was amazing. She actual saved my life. i was taking her running and she started acting so crazy. I couldn't see anything. I stood so still. Hair pricked allover making her seem so big. I started to try to move and she wouldn't. Then a guy in all black slowly moved out of the bushes at a church. He started saying "ok ok get your dog!" After seeing her he started screaming "that's a wolf thats a wolf!"The neighbors came out and couldnt believe it. The cops came. Arrested the guy. They were shocked that i had recieved a permit to own one. We lived 16 miles out of town. But she had just seen the vet that day. I'll never run in the town at night. I'll stay in the countryside.

I have a NIAD and he’s honestly the best dog ever. I couldn’t ask for a better companion.

This is great! Also creepy because literally yesterday I wondered about their origin in North America..

Great dog story Steve, liked as always. In one of the maps you're showing besides wolf and coyote the jackal but the latter isn't able to cross with wolf or dog. It was a long dispute along the european scientists whether the Chow-Chow rooted in the jackal. But it's biologically impossible. Now we have in southern Germany the first Goldschakale golden jackals after 180 years and I hope they will deal better as with the come back of the wolves after 1995. They're kind of holy grail for our city people and we lost in some areas all of the sheep and horse breeders. The indigen dog breeds growth smaller in height after the introducing of the horse and I especially liked your way to showing the feasts on dogs too. Apparently was whelp stew the favorite dish of the Mandan tribe. God's Blessings be with you and your young teachings of important history. Ludwig

I was reading a story the other day of an Apache Chief’s wife named Laughing Woman. It was Apache tradition to kill the pets of a person who passed and bury them with them.
