Mando you had me crying when you talked about going to church and praying. As a Houstonian I have been looking at the news to see the updates and my prayer is if this hurricane needs to happen then for it to go down to a category 1.

Houstonian here! In 2017 when hurricane harvey hit, we were in Monterrey celebrating my grandparents 57th anniversary. That Saturday that it hit we didn’t have service in the hall for some reason. Cuando se acabó la fiesta nos regresamos back to my aunts and on our way back all we kept seeing on our fb timeline was that Houston was literally underwater. Mind you we were only at the hall for four hours. We couldn’t get through to any of our friends and family. We were worried sick. My dad was a first responder and had to come back immediately. But there was absolutely no way to enter houston por ninguna parte. We stayed in Brownsville for a week before we were able to go back home. Even then, there was so much water on the roads. Us along with 4 other families de nuestra familia were hydroplaning off the roads because the water was still too high. Fortunately nothing happened to my parents house. But all my other family that returned back with us, sadly lost their homes. Our house was the only house on the block that was intact. I fully believe that the all of the meteorologists new about how bad this hurricane was going to be because the news never, not once said that we were in danger. I’m praying for you guys! Look at it as a blessing that you guys are not there!
