I smoked wings at 300. They came out awesome. The air flow is weird in there though. With that said, this is still a better performing grill than any of my pellet grills. This grill is for the folks that want a charcoal smoke flavor along with wood. Pellet grills are in trouble in my opinion based on this controlled temp charcoal smoker.
Is cosmos s.p.g. Just salt pepper garlic or is there more to it. Because I can’t see buying it if that’s all it is because I make my own s.p.g. Great video. I’m really liking that grill. Might me my next one I buy
The bottle has the ingredients listed to include more than just SPG - kosmosq.com/spg-rub/ Really fresh smelling and the taste was right on. Can't hurt to give it a try.. my suggestion is the 1lb bag and reuse a bottle you already have.
Great video! On my wings I like using a blend of Complete Seasoning as my AP and the Weber Original Dry Rub. I also cook at 275 for a little over an hour to get that bite through skin. Works great for me. I like cooking on the MB 560 as well. Couple of small concerns but overall a great cooker. Keep the vids coming. Which cooker is your favorite?
If I had to choose one it would be the Weber Summit Charcoal. But @ three times the price as the 560 it isn't for everyone. I really like the 560 so far.
I am very interested in this grill butt haven't pulled the trigger because of your exact issue grease fire's and flare ups in general , with the way that heat shield is made ..
To be fair, I just assumed the heat deflector would burn all the drippings off. It really was pretty impressive but closed the lid down and was back to business shortly after. Drip pan for long cooks and all should be good!
It’s just the super high temps with the lid closed where the flare ups happen. If ya have a piece of greasy meat and that high of temps just keep the lid open often.
So would you recommend pellet smoke taste or the charcoal taste?? Also which once produces more ash. Have a WSM bullet and have so ashes flying around on my food. But I would love to buy a pellet smoker or this MB for the convenience.
Nathaniel Valdez I have a pellet and a WSM. Smoke flavor is many times better on the WSM. My pellet lacks a lot of smoke flavor. I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on the MB. Looks like the best of both worlds.
ooBoFaDeeZoo - thanks man I’ve been wanting a pellet smoker but could not get a honest and answer. Agree think MB is best of both. Gonna order one now.

My absolute favorite seasonings, injections, sauce, & glaze is KosmosQ!!! If you've yet to try them I'd highly recommend on doing so!!!
Did do mod on remove the grease tray from underneath the 560

Those are some great looking poppers. Are those half jalapeños? If so how do you keep the cheese inside?
Oh. I see. You are playing the cute little kid card. Well, it works!
Yeah.. I never cook bird too high heat.. right around low 300
Those pits are pretty sweet!
I think so too!

Did you calibrate the gauge?
harry soo. has a good chicken rub. i my self like salt pepper garlic
I would not suggest any mods, there was a guy in the one of the facebook masterbuilt 560 groups who had a warranty claim denied because of a mod.
I agree. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. It works fine the way it is.
Way to many people on here wanting to be "UA-cam" stars. EVERY grill with have a fire if you load the entire grate.
