Is the CEH considered compliance? I really wanted the CCEP, but I don't have any compliance experience. I was thinking get the CEH then get the CCEP later.
It's great that you're planning out your certification path! The CEH focuses more on ethical hacking, while the CCEP is about compliance, so they serve different purposes.
Hey 👋🏾 In my opinion, CompTIA PenTest+ is absolutely worth going for if you're just getting started. It provides a really nice breadth of foundational knowledge covering methodology, reconnaissance, common tools, analysis, reporting and more. All crucial skills. While it's more conceptual versus extremely hands-on, you'll learn core concepts and principles that you can then reinforce through labs, projects, and more advanced certifications. My advice would be to use PenTest+ to build a baseline of knowledge, then get as hands-on as possible with labs, bug bounties, capture-the-flag events, etc. But overall, I think it's a fantastic entry-level certification and worth the investment if you're committed to starting a career in ethical hacking and pen testing.
I never thought a certification video would make me hungry.
Haha 😂 I’m glad to hear it
But according to me,,, OSCP is a lot harder than CEH...
This is true, and way more valuable as well.
Do you offer any consultations for people trying to learn about this field or get into from other industries?
Hey, unfortunately not at the moment, but feel free to ask any questions or send me an email with your questions and I will try to help where I can.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Great video! Please do more on cyber! I wish I had seen this video before I spent $1,500 on CEH training.
Thank you 🙏🏽! I will definitely keep these videos coming
Great video with visuals etc
