The Google Cybersecurity course is a "C E R T I F I C A T E"! It is not a certification exam. CompTIA Security+ is a certification and on the DOD 8140. It is worth it. The Google Cybersecurity Certificate is valuable for anyone new to Cybersecurity or someone seeking to prove their going into the the career and then start knocking down DOD 8140 Certifications if a person is going into GovTech or if someone is going the hands-on side. Go for TCM Security, HackTheBox and then Offensive Security (OSCP) certs.

Very informative video! I have an engineering background (mechE undergrad, systems eng. master's) and currently in a management role. I have been working to do a career pivot and get into cybersecurity. Security architect is what I've come across in my research as something I would likely fit well in to. I've been studying for Security+ with the goal of going for the CISSP in the future. Also took Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, to take that certification and keep pursuing cloud as well. It was validating that you highlighted this exact path in your video, as this progression made sense to me. Look forward to seeing your journey as you add AWS and GCP to your skillset. I recall my instructor for Azure Fundamentals stating there is something like 70~80% or so overlap between the cloud providers, conceptually. Mostly just different terminology and small differences between them. Being well skilled in one should be a great benefit to you in learning the others.

If I am trying different areas of cyber security, is there such thing as stretching yourself to thin? For instance, if I were dabbling in computer forensics, but I wanted to do network security or risk management then would it be to much to do both?

I want to shift my career to IT. I'm very interested in Linux, networking, servers and databases for last 2-3 years, so I would really love to become Linux sysadmin. Today I talked to my friend who is senior developer and he told me that basically no one wants Linux sysadmins anymore, and that he wishes me a lot of luck to obtain this or any similar role, and that basically the only realistic jr. roles I can count on obtaining are this-or-that variant of developer and software engineer roles. Would you say that he's right?

Hello Queen! I've been studying Microsoft Cybersecurity. Although I completed the Google course, I chose to pursue the Microsoft one as well because of its focus on cloud security. I'm pleased with my decision, especially since it includes a section on AI. One more thing to learn, ha ha ha!

Hey great video. Can you make a walk through sort of video for these concepts because Tenants,subscription and scopes are really confusing. I have completed the Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate and I follow your video regularly which motivates me to pursue the cloud security path. I think Azure is a lot simpler and beginner friendly than AWS and if you could make some of tutorials for such topics that would enable me and others like me to follow in your guidance.

You explained this very well! Using the visual was defintely a great help in explaining the levels in Azure. I took the Microsoft Cyber security course on Coursera and you basically summed up the Microsoft Azure portion of the course. I would love to see you go over the IAM in Azure since that is a big part of cyber security.
