- RotorSchmiede proudly announces the First Flight of its single-seat, ultralight coaxial helicopter VA115. On March 22nd, 2017, the fully-instrumented VA115 prototype was able to prove its agility and precision during sunny spring weather. It was a very successful start to the extensive flight testing of the VA115 and an unforgettable day for Andrej Vlasov and Vitali Brandt, the fathers of the project.
Prior to this, the certification team of RotorSchmiede under the guidance of Dr. Hanns-Walter Schulz has planned and prepared flight tests in intensive cooperation with Luftfahrtbundesamt (LBA), Oskar-Ursinus-Vereinigung (OUV) and the Deutsche Ultraleichtflugverband (DULV). The excellent cooperation resulted in the “Permit to Fly” approval by the DULV in January 2017, only a few weeks after the German Government set in place the legal requirements for the UL-helicopter class in Germany in December 2016. With the registration D-MPVA for the VA115, RotorSchmiede was the first company to obtain an official approval based on the new airworthiness requirements for ultralight helicopters.
The successful first flight is a major milestone not only for the implementation of the VA115 program, but for the entire planned helicopter portfolio of RotorSchmiede. Based on its own coaxial rotor system, RotorSchmiede has defined a family of helicopters, all taking advantage of the beneficial flying characteristics of coaxial systems: The planned VA250 will be able to carry two passengers inside a weatherproof cabin. The two UAS versions (unmanned aircraft system) of VA115 and VA250 will create new possibilities in industrial and commercial application: The unmanned VA115 agro for example will be able to spray up to 110 liter of fertilizer efficiently with the help of the rotor downwash, or the unmanned VA250 cargo hook can transport up to 350 kg of external load.

A real beauty. Good stability, too. Well done !
Absolutely Fantastic!!!... Good show.. I must get one.
A magnificent machine to fly a good design. my congratulations for your work
it looks like a copy of this helicopter from about 1936 ua-cam.com/video/Xq1Em56Ymc8/v-deo.html
Very Cool!
Fajny taki akurat jak dla mnie...😊👍🤟
Question, if this was rigid like the bo-105 what would be different about the flight characteristics?
whats the top speed? looks very slow... how does it fly upwind? does it get blown around like a model coaxial helicopter does compared to a single rotor cp helicopter?
is rotor system for sale on its own
The only issue I have with this is the drive belt. Granted, it allows you to put the transmission up high in the engine down low.
where can we buy such a thing
Hasil kerja yg hebat,
Thank you very much!
Nice...! Where...? I'd like to come visit....! I'm located on the Eastern Shore of MD - Kent Island area... Gordon

Can you provide a timeline to production and a possible price? Thank you.
price?
Hi, autogyro's are different. Tell approx. price, please.
Thanks. i'll be waiting
@@andyrubin9693 it’s like 80 thousand usd….
Linda maquina quro uma como faz
Sehr interessant, preisliche Vorstellung?
Vielen Dank für die Info.
Vende o kit? Exporta? Qual o preço do kit?
Muito bom. Teria o projeto pra venda ?
Realmente.

How well does it autorotate?
The autorotation capabilities of the VA115 are very good. One of our test pilots, who has a lot of experience with other helicopters, mentioned, that he could never autorotate as easy as with the VA115.
How does it make turns?
By changing the angle of attack of the upper rotor blades and therefore reducing or increasing their drag while the lower rotor plane remains as it is.
We are very interested to buy this helicopter, So we can get any contacts

Chile.
Yaw is controlled as in any classical helicopter via foot pedals. These pedals change the angle of attack of the upper rotor, leading to a small difference in torque between the upper and lower rotor, which then lets the helicopter yaw. At the same time the pedals are connected to the articulated vertical stabilizer. The stabilizer supports yaw control, especially during autorotation.
RotorSchmiede is actively looking into alternative propulsion systems. One Wankel engine configuration has entered ground testing with one of the VA115 prototypes.

All I wanna know is where do I go to get one LOL
Hi Bryan. Just visit www.rotorschmiede.de or ask directly at sales@rotorschmiede.de ;)
I need a price!
It’s like 80k usd, it’s a rich man’s toy. Look for a used mosquito, you can be in the air for about 15-20k
I would like to 9 see this lil coaxle helo performe a full auto rotation maneuvers
We will make videos of full autorotation soon.
@@RS-fr1je Awesome! Thqt would be cool to see. Thankya for replying back!
Fantastico...experimental?!?
...€.?👍🏻
Type-certificated in Germany ;)
Me vende a planta ou cópia?
We only sell complete built helicopters. No kits or plans.
Mhhh, könnte in die 120kilo UL-Klasse fallen. Wäre zumindest was! :-)
beats a Ferrari ,,probably the same price range though
ineffective yaw control typical for this type of helicopter. They didn't show an autorotation as this is where you'll see a reversal in yaw authority - See QH 50 Gyrodyne for this cure in yaw control issues
Well engineered...Fuel tanks not setting about your back and head like the mosquito...Frame looks rigid as hell...Is this Polish, Czech, or Russian? Nope It's German! Tough like a Boelkow!
Looks like Micron Russian
Not a safe helicopter....too many smart parts on the blades can cause disaster...fix blades almost ZERO problem set up...
Really cool, but no one will buy it at that price..it’s an ultralight…but only those with an ultraheavy wallet can afford.
We think the price is quite good compared to competitors which ask for 200k and more. Right, they mostly have two seats and there are also cheaper single seaters than us. But we offer a complete built and certified helicopter. Ready to fly.
