Nice clean install. I think you did everything right, except. As a service technician with over 15 years experience working on all brands of gas appliances. I feel qualified to say that all Navien boilers, especially the combi's are the worst boilers on the market today.
Lol I was just going to say the same exact thing then I saw your comment lol Sounds like it's coming from experience. I think the reason these plumbing contractors push these unit because they create reoccurring income
@@PlumbRalph I’ve seen dozens of units have beautiful installs but the unit looks like absolute shit after only 8 or 9 years. Ask any service tech that hasn’t caved to naviens matrix. You ever noticed how the pcb board goes from Christmas tree green to completely brown? Nav says it just ”due to age”. Wanna know the real reason? It’s because the exhaust gasses leak out of the heat exchanger gaskets or the exhaust packing nut causing the internal cabinet temp to rise. When you have that high temp it does a couple things. 1. It damages the resistors and caps on the board. That’s why you always see that brown starting at the capacitors on the board. 2. The high temp causes the oil to be extracted out if the plastic parts of the heat exchanger. It’ll look like it’s drenched in sweat. (Cabinet runs in a mini vacuum btw) 3. Moisture can seep out and cause serious corrosion. Don’t listen to nav. Don’t be gullible. At the end of the day, it’s your business and the guys that installed that boiler did an amazing job.
We were at the NJ Navien training center & they talked about not needing to do all circulators. Ian Monahan the trainer at the time said they like to have the zone valves instead. So we’ve been doing that way and had no trouble.

they were just finding out about the heat exchanger leaks and the bad gasket at the top
that would leak flu gas and lech oil out of the plastic parts
Not even close, triangle tube challenger is the worst. At least naveins are easy to get parts for.
He’s gonna wish he had that 25 yr old boiler back soon. 🤷♂️

How much did this work come out to parts and labor even if approximate?
Looks good just pipe insulation missing.
Nice work
Thanks 👍
hyro side is beautiful, unit itself is trash.
We’ve had a great deal of success with these units when properly installed and maintained.

terrible video
I would have gone with circulators instead oc zone valves. But looks good
Navien actually recommends using the zone valves. Thanks👍
@@dibaccoplumbingheatingcool1993 i have installed alot of these and have never heard or seen that they recommend zone valves.
