@@verenos357 agreed. not even season 5 could save what seasons 1 and 2 had. season 3 failed villain-wise but I think the character development was still great. I actually loved laurels arc that season
Right. Like u date Laurel, then cheat on her w/ her sis, Sara, then Sara “dies”, then u reconnect w/ her, & then “dies” again, & then u get back home, & ur bsf (Tommy) is dating ur ex (Laurel), & then they break up, & then u have an affair w/ ur ex (Laurel) just b4 ur bsf (Tommy) is ab 2 get back w/ her, then ur bsf (Tommy) ends up dead, then a year later, u meet back w/ ur ex’s sis (Sara) again, & then start dating, & then break up, & then she ends up dead, & then gets resurrected, & joins a time crew. Then, ur ex (Laurel) is ab 2 die & confesses that ur the love of her life even after all that.
Man I remember people went OFF on Laurel for being "whiney" like look how her parents are: Mom moved on, father is a drunkard, dead sister isn't dead and got with the love of HER life after he cheated on her with said sister.
And from the looks of the comments nothing has changed. Apparently she was still very much in the wrong for being hurt. I don't get it. They might have had years to come to terms with their relationship and what they did. But she had conflicting emotions for years. On one hand she mourned them (because she loved them both) and on another she was hurt by what they'd done to her and what they'd found out. Never mind the loss of Tommy and all her own bullshit piled onto that.
@@pixiesandenvyx I don't think the problem was her being hurt. It's the fact that she was literally blaming everyone else around her for her own self destructive tendencies.
I feel like Laurel taking drugs and drinking was on her although I do definitely understand if she went through so much The love of her life Cheated on her with her sister, they both are assum dead, father becomes drunk her mother leaves,The love of her life comes back, she lost a man that she was falling in love with, her sister comes back and the love of her life goes back to date her,I’m not saying that she’s right for doing drugs and Alcohol she was wrong for that but I get why she was upset with everyone there
@@bluevegito-6979 the scene before Oliver gets on the boat and is talking to laurel is so sad u can tell she really likes him yet has no idea he wants to do her sister while he is away and she even give him a picture of her like Oliver was such a dick

The reason why arrow was so good in its earlier seasons is cause it was about a superhero that was human- with normal human like problems, and the supporting cast were normal people. Now I can’t take this show seriously cause everyone’s a superhero and the conflicts in the show is so non realistic
EXACTLY!!!! NOW EVERYONE IS INVOLVED IN SUPERHERO STUFF SO IT FEELS ARTIFICIAL AND UNRELATABLE AND ITS ANNOYING! The show was better when the inner circle was small. now everyone is a hero and everyone has powers and for some reason everyone learned how to fight better than assassins and shit who have trained their whole lives. its inconsistent and stupid. I miss the early seasons
EXACTLY!!! I still love the Arrowverse now, but I really miss This old times. As much as I love Supergirl and Flash it's so true that the show was better without superpowers
I actually find the character development interesting that most the them took its turn being superheroes in later season.. but unfortunately the presented storyline is a mess and emphasizing the superhero action too much while the drama is crap compared to the earlier season, especially season 7 (Emiko shouldn't have existed, Longbow Hunters should have been involved more). The final episode (8×10) is also disappointing, could be better
I feel like that's why most shows should have a 5 season arc and they either make it to that point and call it quits or get cancelled beforehand due to ratings. At a certain point, power creep snuffs out what was once great.
To this day I don't understand how people are against Laurel's reaction to her ex-boyfriend and her supposedly dead sister rekindling their romance after he cheated on Laurel with Sara. Laurel's Dad is also to blame. he falls off the wagon then pretends like his actions are to be forgiven? fuck that. I was glad when Laurel went off!
I don't get mad. But I can see why they act the way they do since Laurel has a problem with pills and drinking. So in context of the show it makes since for the characters to be mad. But anyone watching? Nah I think they should just feel bad for Laurel. Addiction is hard man.
Yeah, Oliver and Sarah were hella inconsiderate. Never mind that it goes I acknowledged that Laurel was left to pick up the pieces in their absence those five years. And everyone expected her to throw confetti. That half assed apology when Laurel told Sara off was insufficient.
Maybe because Laurel is the one who sabotaged Sara and Oliver’s relationship so Laurel could get with him. Laurel knew what kind of guy he was, yet was deluded into thinking he would ever move in with her. Then she gets mad after he goes back to the girl he originally wanted when she starts suffocating him with apartment choices
I think it is because everyone always points out and blames oliver and he takes it but when he snaps and calls people out on their crap everything is true and he doesn't do it to often which makes it so much better
That great thing about this scene is this has nothing to do with being a vigilante or anything like that it just shows the view of a person seeing someone they love loose themselves to their addiction.
I miss when arrow didn’t just rely on action/fighting sequences and actually had a storyline that made the characters seem like real people with real problems :(
Truthfully, I like Oliver with either Lance sisters. Having said that I think it was really stupid for him to come to this dinner; Laurel wasn't exactly in the best place of mind in S2 but she had every right to be pissed about this.
@@acithepogialbino7119 shut tf up, you are literally a dumbass, she slept with her sisters boyfriend and when she came back she still had the audacity to be with him 🤢🤮
This scene is so amazing. This is how you write a show. It’s so well done. You can feel every singles characters perspective and you know exactly why they do, say, and react the way they do. The subtlety in the writing, the dialogue, the camera work, THE ACTING. The actress who plays Laurel always blows me away. She could tell they were together from just a look. The look made sense given the context. Knowing the kind of person and chatter Laurel is, it makes sense that she would figure out exactly what was going on. The rant she goes on. The fact that literally everyone in the scene has the right to feel the way they do. Then the conversation her and Oliver had in the hallway. “I have loved you for half my life.. but I’m done running after you.” Damn. The shaky cam for this exact moment, the way he wipes his tears as he walks away, Laurels still very drunk and pissed off yet dumbfounded reaction. Bro. How did they manage to ruin a show this good is always beyond me.
I know he basically screwed up the Vance's single handedly, but he did his best to fix things. He was trying to be responsible (in his own screwed up way) but got tired of always being blamed for everything. Nice to see him not guilt tripping and just standing up for himself.
It was not Oliver’s place to be there especially with Laurel being so fragile. She already had other issues with Sara he should have stayed out of it. Of course she was going to pick up on that they were sleeping together again. When he was just trying to get back together with her months prior.
NeonTime Never Sara never took responsibility for anything she did. Everyone is just laughing as if nothing is wrong with Oliver being there. Oliver and Sara are both home wreckers
Are you idiot?? What oliver did to laurel but still she loved him oliver cheated laurel with her sister and then when tommy died he left her alone and when she was drowning he was with her sister again like seriously and he have a baby too and then you guys blame laurel but still laurel last words for oliver was but you always have been the love of my life. Just imagine if you were laurel what would you do by seeing your lover with your sister
waleed rana Yes. Imagine you was laurel, finding out that Sara, your sister, has a crush on Oliver so you snitch on your sister so your dad could ground her so you can hook with Oliver even THOUGH you didn’t even have a crush on Oliver to begin with. You’re just dating Oliver because your jealous of Sara having a crush on Oliver AND the fact you just want to get back at your sister for whatever reason. Yeah sure imagine you were laurel. There are more to the story than blaming Oliver and Sara. Why don’t you imagine you were Sara in her shoes, being betrayed by your sister for dating your crush even though she didn’t even have a crush on him to begin with and the only reason she’s doing this is to get back at you for whatever reasons.
@@alohatigers1199 ummmm where'd you get any of that from??? laurel loved Oliver and she even confessed it on her death bed. she moved onto Tommy to help escape the pain Oliver left behind but that doesn't mean she never stopped loving Oliver. I mean what oliver was correct, he was always there for laurel during her recently hard times, and she was not appreciating him for being there. And also he was having many family problems, but he was still there and he still showed up. I feel bad for oliver bcz only a few people like (sara, felicity, and diggle) were understamding what he was going through.
@@mlgmeistros4278 I wouldn’t say she was screwing him, she always had feelings for him, laurel was actually the one who got her in trouble first and got together with Oliver
@@vv1034 yeah that's what I meant, I meant screwing literally (not figuratively) as in she was going after Oliver. And it wasn't Oliver actively chasing her
Yea when Oliver came back from the island for FIVE YEARS and started making mistakes or being distant or whatever, Laurel didn't cut him ANY slack. So why should they cut her some?!
Best scene ever! Laurel the best character of the show! Shame on the writers. She was the only one seeing things through and yet everyone blamed her. Even with the struggle she was the only truth of the reality and yet she left for dead, and she still loved, helped and ran after them. I think the writers killed her off cuz, she was shadowing the main character which is Oliver.
They killed her off because the show runner (who's fired now) liked his original character Felicity better than Laurel. They killed Laurel so olicity could never be threatened by the fact that Ollie loves Laurel more than he does Felicity.
They killed her off because they ran out of storylines for her. How was she shadowing the main character? In the more recent seasons, she was always in the background??
Book Worm She was shadowing Oliver because she was a good character or better saying, the best character. She did nothing wrong to anyone, but everyone fcked her up. So she was becoming an icon. The show is called Arrow and it was becoming more like CANARY.
m N m r u even serious? Laurel kept suffering with alcohol problems and her only major storyline revolves around Oliver and Sara. Everything goes back to their relationship. I can’t even believe that u think she’s the best character. Even the show realized that they can’t do anything with her character anymore so they had to kill her off. Oliver suffered for 5 years and he’s been through all kinds of hell. He’s far more interesting cuz u can see how much he grows every season and his new friendships. How can u even compare their storylines. I get that laurel has gone through some pain but the show had no idea how to really portray her in a good way so she just turned out to be a Character who is hated by many hence the reason the show did not put her with Oliver, cuz no one really understood why Laurel is part of the show. U know cuz she’s a reminder of who Oliver used to be, a really horrible bratty person. I actually think they should’ve just used her for redemption and that’s it.
@@Metaldrummer67 because of the tension lol. I hate it when there's a screaming match within a family because it reminds me of bad memories from my childhood :/
When I first saw this, I thought Laurel was overreacting. But now I totally side with her. Like your ex-boyfriend is romancing with your resurrected sister, who said boyfriend cheated with previously……..and it all goes down in your house!
Honest to God, this whole thing happened when Laurel became a drunk and got addicted to pills. The timing on Sara's return and her and Oliver dating could not have been worse. What Laurel said and did was inexcusable(This coming from someone whose ex cheated on him with his brother). She said despicable things while blaming everyone else because she's dealing herself a shitty-ass hand. Good for Oliver to give her a wake-up call. That was her first of several Come-to-Jesus moments that helped get her to AA.
Mike Candella So Laurel is despicable but her sister is a saint for having Oliver there? I mean Oliver and Sara got in this mess because they were having an affair and that is the reason the things happened to them. They died while betraying Laurel. God forbid Laurel be human and actually be upset. Laurel didn't do anything wrong in this scene. Oliver and Sara were in the wrong.
Karlee Craziness I literally never said that, nor did I even give the impression that I condoned their actions. And yes, they never should have gotten involved with eachother while Ollie was dating Laurel, that was 6 years ago and Oliver is like a brother to her and Sara literally is her sister. She has every right to be pissed, but to harbor that grudge for 6 years and change is a pretty cold move. What's more vindictive is that she lights up her father for trying to diffuse the situation. She's being a humongous bitch. I will not move on that statement. If she has a problem with somebody, you take it up with them individually and PRIVATELY. You don't start a vulgar shouting match in mixed company. Oliver did things correctly by confronting Laurel in the hallway after she tried to hit and split.
Mike Candella So is getting back with the problem. Also Laurel wasn't just angry at the cheating. She was angry at the fact her parents weren't there for her when she needed them. Her mom didn't give two shits about Laurel only that she only came back because she thought Sara might be alive. She had to deal with an alcoholic father. Laurel couldn't really be angry at dead people because that is a waste of time. Now Sara is back taunting her with Oliver by flirting with him. Laurel lost a lot. Her mom left her dad is a drunk her sister back stabbed her and made Laurel think she was dead for six years Oliver cheated her multiple times her boyfriend Tommy died saving her she is suffering from depression and addiction. Laurel is better than me because I would be dragging Sara by the arm or her hair and kicking her out.
Oliver was a straight up dick for what he said to her. Wake-up call for her or not, he honestly had no right to say that to her since he was the one to fuck everything up in the first place with Sara. He and Sara were REALLY short-sighted and insensitive when they came together like that to a FAMILY dinner party. Also, god forbid Laurel actually act human because she was justifiably angry and upset here.
Laurel has a right to get anger. The betrayal by Oliver and Sara is almost unforgivable. But there is a however. Oliver was not wrong, Laurel made the choice not to be with Oliver again, that was her choice and yet he stood by her through all of her issues. She gave up the right to have a say in who he is with. She can be hurt by the decision, but can't expect them to be apart just because of her since she has no interest in being with him herself. Laurel figured this out though, his last line crushed her "I have loved you for half my life but I am done running after you ". That truth killed her and it is made even more heartbreaking when she revealed on her deathbed "I may not have been the love of your life, but you were always mine".
This is why I could never get behind the Laurel/Oliver relationship. And always liked oliver with Sara over Laurel with oliver. Laurel has absolutely no right to be upset at Oliver or Sara about being together. She was the one who didn't want to be with Oliver. So Oliver is free to be with whoever he wants. She can't have it both ways. Not to mention, she acts like Sara stole him from her in the first place. When in reality, Laurel was the one who stole Oliver from Sara and ruined the chance for them to be together the very first time. Which is I'm sure why sara didn't have a problem going with Oliver to the Queen's Gambit. Laurel knew Sara had a major crush on Oliver. She knew, and because Laurel wanted to be petty and take something Sara really wanted away from her, she snitched on Sara to her dad, and got her grounded. With Sara grounded and out of the way, Laurel made herself even pettier and went and stole Oliver for herself, and started a relationship with him, even though she knew her sister wanted to be in a relationship with him. Laurel and Olivers relationship was literally based on manipulation and pettiness. They were practically doomed from the start. I honestly don't even think Laurel ever had real feelings for Oliver. She just wanted something her sister wanted. she convinced herself that her feelings were real, but I honestly think it was more about getting someone her sister wanted. And once she had him, tried to force him to meet her expectations and tried to force him to be someone he wasn't ready to be. She made up fantasies in her head thinking she was going to be the one who lived the rest of her life with him, like some fairytale. Hence her wanting to move forward so in their relationship. Like telling Sara about moving in with him, living together, getting married, and getting jobs, etc. Even Sara was like whoa girl slow down, do you even know Oliver? Sara even asked Laurel if she was sure Oliver was even ready for that, or even on the same page as her. And Laurel got angry and snapped at her and practically said he will be. Even Sara knew Oliver was never going to be ready for that kind of commitment with Laurel. But Laurel just kept her head in the clouds and convinced herself that she would make him see things her way. She had an idea of what she wanted Oliver and her life to be with him in her head to be like, but she didn't really KNOW him, and never even really bothered to notice how afraid of total commitment he was. She never really, and I mean really took the time to get to know him. She just knew what/who SHE wanted him to be. But he was just never going to be that person with her. It wasn't until he came back from the island that he started trying to be that person. And even then, it wasn't until he met Felicity that he could actually be the person the person Laurel always hoped and dreamed he would be. That's why I think it always made more sense for Oliver to be with either Sara or Felicity. Both actually saw Oliver for who he was, not for who they wanted him to be. They actually got through to him in helping him become the person he was meant to. Whereas Laurel just got lucky with her idea of who she wanted Oliver to be, to end up coming true.

Poor laurel oilver cheated on laurel with her sister and jumps straight into bed with her again no wonder why laurel gets so mad and in my opinion oliver didn't have any right to say what he did to laurel cause he caused it and so did sara
I disagree because remember in one of the flashbacks sara said before laural and oliver got together sara had a crush on oliver and laurel knew that so she got sara in trouble so she would be grounded so she could get together with Oliver so i honestly think everything that happened is laurels fault cause had she not done that then Sara would have never gotten on that boat.
Not at all, Laurel had found out Sara had a crush on Oliver, so just to spite her she snitched to her dad, and got together with Oliver in the first place.
@@heralalan4553 Expect, that was just Sara's side of the story. We never hear Laurel's side of the story. We don't know if Laurel actually called the cops on that party. But apparently, suposedly going after your sister's crush is wrong, but hooking up with your sister's boyfriend is fair game.

the problem with Oliver and Sarah is; they don't know how to take things slow, the minimum Sarah could have done today is to come alone. I wouldn't support Laurel with her drugs and other stupid stuff but Oliver lecturing Laurel, dude you screwed her sister and she found that along with the news that you both are gone, basically, she lost two people whom she thought she could trust with life and she also found that those two people are disloyal to her, the combination of anger and sadness is not easy to handle.
Laurel had every right to be mad at her sister and Ollie for hooking back up even tho they knew it'd hurt her. Sara has never said she's sorry, she went to Ollie and had revenge sex with him because Laurel told her off, and then she made Ollie come with her to the family dinner. He should never have started anything with Sara again. Ollie's acting like he's put himself out so much for Laurel is bull! He's not chased her anywhere. He left her out of guilt when Tommy died because he's still a child. Everything that happened with the Lance family is his and Sara's fault. This was a horrible scene where he was written out of character so the writers could prop up Sara.
Remember that Sara liked Oliver from the beginning and Laurel knew it. She ensured Sara was grounded so that she could go out with Oliver instead. All is fair in war and love.
@James Roper she shouldn't have brought him to dinner....doesn't matter ...truth is if she wanted to eat with him, go somewhere else that is not a family dinner it was extremely dumb of him to go eat with them
T Phillips Are you forgetting she tried to give his mother the death penalty and he was still friends with her. Not to mention when he came back after tommy died she said she felt like she was cheating on him and they couldn’t be together. Then now when she’s a drunk she makes a move on him. Oliver should have left her ass in the dust.
I understand where they are both coming from. Oliver and Sara really hurt laurel when they went on the gambit together, but that was years ago and a lot has happened since then. Both sara and oliver have changed and been through a lot. One of the reasons theyre together is because they understand what each other have been through. Oliver had blamed himself for so long and then laurel eventually forgave him. I understand that she's mad at him for being with Sara again because I've been in that same position before too with my own sister, but laurel did tell oliver after tommy died that them sleeping together was a mistake and basically closed the door on their relationship for the time being and oliver moved on with sara the same way that laurel did in season 1 with tommy (who was practically a brother to oliver) so she shouldn't be so judgmental about Sara and him being together now especially since she's just using that as an excuse to cover up the real problem she has with sara. I think Ollie is right when he says laurel is blaming everyone but herself especially since that's what a lot of drunks do. I also think he made a good point when he said he's been there for her because so far in season 2 he really has been trying more to be by her side and all she does is try to push everyone else away and run towards drugs and drinking. I love laurel and I love Ollie. They both make good points but in the end I think laurel is the one who needed to apologize in this situation. That's just my opinion tho and I respect the opinions of those who may think differently.
Erin Hansen I agree, but I will say from Laurel’s point of view she didn’t go through what Sara and Oliver did. She had her boyfriend cheat on her with her sister and then had both of the most important people in her life be “dead” for years and then it turned out that was a lie too. And then to have them come back and get together again, she honestly did have every right to be angry.
@@ziam3044 I agree. She did have a right to be angry about some things. But she was at a point where she was blaming everyone else for everything and not taking any responsibility for some of her own shortcomings. And Oliver had reasons to be angry too after everything he went through. They both had some horrible things happen. They both had reasons to be angry. They both made some of their own mistakes and they both need to own them. I love them both, but sometimes they are so stubborn and don't realize when they've made a mistake or hurt someone else. This fight was not one person's fault. Both did something wrong. (P.S. thank you for being cordial in your reply. Other people replied to my opinion rudely because they saw things differently.)
It's funny when people argue over the relationships involving Oliver and Laurel, like go ahead and keep bickering... I'll be over here shipping Olicity, appreciating Sariver, soft spot for Lauriver and loving Merlance! There's so many great ships on this show, why choose just one?!
I'm sorry but Olicity is worse than this relationship.Felicity got mad at Oliver for not telling her about a son he just found out he had, not only that but after barry reset that timeline she ended her engagement with Oliver for not telling her about his son even after the mother of his son admitted to her that she told Oliver not to tell anyone about their son or he would never get to see his son again. So I'm going to ship either laurel and Oliver or Sara and Oliver and quite frankly they are both better than felicity.

Oliver did have sympathy. Oliver was grieving for Tommy too. Oliver was dealing with his own bullshit. And he still tried his hardest to be there for Laurel. But eventually there comes a breaking point where someone needs to hit rock bottom in order to pick themselves back up
I know it's been said to death but Arrow was so much better as a character drama first with a background of gritty superhero action than a full on "save the universe with superpowers" show
To be fair, Oliver and Sara had every right to be together at this point. Laurel didn't want Oliver. So he moved on. And he and Sara always had feelings for each other. The whole cheating thing that happened before the queens gambit went down was as much laurels fault as it was Oliver and Sara's. Had Laurel not have been petty and betrayed her sister and stole Oliver from Sara in the first place, there never would have been a need to go behind laurels back and betray her. there never would have been a Laurel and Oliver to begin with. Laurel had that betrayal coming, it was a clear case of karma coming back to bite her on the butt. I agree that it was wrong of Oliver to come to the dinner, especially when it had nothing to do with him. But it wasn't wrong of him to want to date Sara. For real this time. And it's not like Oliver was the same playboy he was back then. He was actually serious with Sara. He even wanted her to move in with him. His feelings for her were real. Ever since he came back from the island, he's been faithful to every woman he dated. Everyone except Laurel. He could never be completely faithful to her, in any way.
Laurel only started sleeping with Tommy after Oliver had suposedly died, cheating on her with her sister. She wasn't wrong for sleeping with Tommy, who had been her friend as well.
Laurel has every right to be upset that Oliver and Sara are together, I mean Oliver fucks everyone so why the hell did he have to go with Sara again? He could date Felicity instead! Laurel wouldn't have felt so bad if Oliver had been with anyone else, but it had to be Sara.
No she definitely wasn't right. They were over. She was dating his best friend. So she had no right to control him. So she can date Whoever she wants and he can't
@@aishahamma334 They can both do whatever they want, but tell me how would you feel if the man you still love who betrayed you with your sister got back with her at the first opportunity? First Sarah, then Felicity and finally Dinah. She became less then a secondary character in her own show, that was suppost be her big break.
You guys are forgetting that throughout Laurel’s life, she had always been in love with Oliver. Including when she was in this scene, where Sara once again seemed like ‘stealing’ something from her.

Laurel told Oliver she didn’t want to get back together because it would feel like a betrayal to Tommy, meaning Oliver is free to be with whoever he wants and Laurel can’t say anything about it. If Laurel didn’t want Oliver to date anyone, she should have just gotten with him
He didn't originally want to go. But Sara begged him to go, so he went for her. And he couldn't really say no to her, because he cared about her & had feelings for her. That's the only reason why he went. And he was completely right to say what he said to Laurel. She'd been treating him so unfairly, all because she wasn't taking responsibility for her actions.
Arrow was such a great series in season 1 ..but guess what.. There's a series that have fail right in the 20 minute of pilot episode.. You know which one?? 🤣🤣
I just.. I love Sara 😂💕 and I ship her with Oliver more than laurel, I don’t know what it is but I just can’t not like Sara... maybe it’s a lesbian thing
When you date two sister’s the relationship and friendship just don’t work comes with more problems thats why I’m the team Oliver and felicity.felicity is honest and prue and no drama she doesn’t have badges like these sisters have and felicity really truly love Oliver
I think its deeper than just oliver sleeping around laurel knew playboy oliver and then meet post island oliver but sara was there on island and on the freighter she saw how he became post island oliver the process and they both thought the other died and its clear when he gave up shado that sara meant more to him
It’s not that Shado meant less, it’s that Ivo had a gun pointed at Sara’s head, Oliver would have jumped in front of that gun had it been pointed at Shado’s head
I understand why Laurel is so pissed here but at the same time Oliver did have a point. Laurel let everything consume her and she didn't deal in healthy way. Yes he and Sara were being insensitive but at the same time it's not all on Oliver. Sara was her sister. It was up to Sara to fix her relationship with her sister. Oliver didn't rape Sara. Their relationship was mostly based on a lot of history at this point. It didn't even last very long. It should have been Sara begging forgiveness for stealing her sisters boyfriend. At the end of the day the relationship between sisters is up to the two of them to repair and to me Sara wasn't really trying to do that.
Eh, apologize to Laurel, yes. Beg for forgiveness, no. Sara shouldn't have had to beg Laurel for forgiveness. It was because of Laurel in the very first place that led to Sara going behind her sisters back to be with Oliver. Laurel actually stole any and all chances for Sara to be Oliver's girlfriend in the beginning. She knew Sara had a major crush on Oliver, and then ratted Sara out to their dad. He grounded Sara, and with Sara out of the way, Laurel took Sara's chance at being with Oliver and instead got with him herself. Laurel stole Oliver from Sara first. And because of that, sara was left to harbor her feelings for Oliver alone. Which is why she ended up seeing Oliver behind her sisters back. It was really Laurel's own fault for Oliver and Sara sneaking around in the first place. Had she not stolen Oliver from Sara, they would have been together from the start. And there would've been no need to sneak around and betray anyone. So yes, what Sara did, even though it was justified, was still wrong. So in order to try and fix her relationship with her sister, she should apologize, but she shouldn't have to beg for forgiveness. It's also on Laurel to take responsibility for her pettiness and manipulations, and apologize to Sara.
Honestly I think Laurel lacked an outlet for her feelings. Her dad fell into a bottle and her mom bailed. Sara and Oliver failed to realize just how much everything fell on Laurel in their absence and how unfair it was.

Arrow peaked at season 2. Still a good show but subsequent seasons failed to deliver the highs of the first 2 seasons.
Alejandro Alvarez Dinah knew about the affair.
I don't get mad. But I can see why they act the way they do since Laurel has a problem with pills and drinking. So in context of the show it makes since for the characters to be mad. But anyone watching? Nah I think they should just feel bad for Laurel. Addiction is hard man.
Alejandro Alvarez I can see both point of views
Yeah, Oliver and Sarah were hella inconsiderate. Never mind that it goes I acknowledged that Laurel was left to pick up the pieces in their absence those five years. And everyone expected her to throw confetti. That half assed apology when Laurel told Sara off was insufficient.
Maybe because
Laurel is the one who sabotaged Sara and Oliver’s relationship so Laurel could get with him. Laurel knew what kind of guy he was, yet was deluded into thinking he would ever move in with her. Then she gets mad after he goes back to the girl he originally wanted when she starts suffocating him with apartment choices

Bro. I'll make it simple, Felicity Smoke. It's not the actresses fault, but the character destroyed the show
Stephen Amell is such an incredible actor and this scene alone shows that, can’t wait to see him in more!!

@@mlgmeistros4278 I wouldn’t say she was screwing him, she always had feelings for him, laurel was actually the one who got her in trouble first and got together with Oliver

Laurel is my favorite on this show.she so beautiful too.

“Are you gonna blame Tommy for dying”
Karlee Craziness so well written
Oliver was a straight up dick for what he said to her. Wake-up call for her or not, he honestly had no right to say that to her since he was the one to fuck everything up in the first place with Sara. He and Sara were REALLY short-sighted and insensitive when they came together like that to a FAMILY dinner party. Also, god forbid Laurel actually act human because she was justifiably angry and upset here.
I love how people in arrow fight with Oliver and end up getting destroyed
Oliver’s just sitting there like 👁👄👁
I am so with laurel I s2g
She deserved so much better
6 episodes later his mother is dead. Laurel Be like: oliver im sorry for you
they all killed this scene especially laurel and oliver
Daaaaanggg thats how you take charge
Sara’s and Laurel’s mom talks to Quentin like he’s absolutely insane and idiotic and despises him with everything she has
This is why I could never get behind the Laurel/Oliver relationship.

Ah...back when arrow writing was decent and believable....and before they butchered Laurel's character and did her weird resurrection plotline
the problem with Oliver and Sarah is; they don't know how to take things slow, the minimum Sarah could have done today is to come alone. I wouldn't support Laurel with her drugs and other stupid stuff but Oliver lecturing Laurel, dude you screwed her sister and she found that along with the news that you both are gone, basically, she lost two people whom she thought she could trust with life and she also found that those two people are disloyal to her, the combination of anger and sadness is not easy to handle.

laurel was my thirds favorite character
@James Roper she shouldn't have brought him to dinner....doesn't matter ...truth is if she wanted to eat with him, go somewhere else that is not a family dinner
it was extremely dumb of him to go eat with them
T Phillips Are you forgetting she tried to give his mother the death penalty and he was still friends with her. Not to mention when he came back after tommy died she said she felt like she was cheating on him and they couldn’t be together. Then now when she’s a drunk she makes a move on him. Oliver should have left her ass in the dust.
I thought you said that they were in love with 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When you bring your girl to your boys house and the wifi automatically connects.....
"Oh youve gottta be kidding me..."
My man wrote an essay
So I'm going to ship either laurel and Oliver or Sara and Oliver and quite frankly they are both better than felicity.
xoheartinohioxo what’s merlance, I got the other ones
@@seafaringneptune3573 laurel and Tommy I think
@@Greenninjastudios-zq3lf
Nobody in a real life makes someone a step-parent without their consent. That's what Oliver was going to do. Oliver put himself in this situation. He knew that a lot of people, even an opportunist like Malcolm.
It's normal to not like Oliver and Felicity together, but it's Oliver who not tell the truth to Felicity. I don't care about what Samantha asked him. She had no say in his life with Felicity. Not to mention that Felicity can keep a secret and Samantha would never have known that he told Felicity.
Felicity was right when she broke up with him. They were not teenagers.
@@jujumpe7374 And since Felicity hated Oliver's mother she probably saw samamtha as Moira Queen but younger
She had every right to be mad.
-her sister and bf “died” while screwing
-her parents split after her sister “died”
-her sister comes back and continues to screw the love of *her* life
-she did not invite Oliver
-hellooo it’s her apartment!
Oliver’s complete lack of sympathy in this scene was amazing
*lack* of sympathy? He's put up with so much of Laurel's shit in this season. Yeah she was going through stuff, but so was literally everyone else around her. He was trying to stick by her through all this, but she seriously needed a wake-up call here.
Oliver did have sympathy. Oliver was grieving for Tommy too. Oliver was dealing with his own bullshit. And he still tried his hardest to be there for Laurel. But eventually there comes a breaking point where someone needs to hit rock bottom in order to pick themselves back up
@@MG_Spy i meant the way he expressed himself at the dinner table i mean i meamt how good his acting was
@@gerstein03 He slept with her ex-girlfriend sister. Again. Of course, that's what we call sympathy!!!
Laurel needs to let it go!!!
She thought her boyfriend died and he was screwing her sister how can you let that go
I know it's been said to death but Arrow was so much better as a character drama first with a background of gritty superhero action than a full on "save the universe with superpowers" show
Who could they screw up the black canary such a badass character
Why the hell did Oliver think this was ok!!!! Like bro u cheated with her sister n then it had a chain reaction
Laurel out here telling Ollie and Sara off like she didn’t go “Welp, Ollie’s dead, time to sleep with his best friend” years earlier.
Didn't they cheat first?
Laurel only started sleeping with Tommy after Oliver had suposedly died, cheating on her with her sister. She wasn't wrong for sleeping with Tommy, who had been her friend as well.
Whoa I’m tearing up a bit...
Because that's what Oliver did, and even though he's a single man, that doesn't mean is right that he dates Sara which he SHOULD KNOW will crack his relationship with Laurel even more and crack the Lance sisters relationship too, and for what? Did he love Sara so much that he would act so selfishly? Sara too, I understand that she suffered a lot, but you have to be shameless for what she did. I mean, she comes back from the dead (which she herself sought betraying her sister at being in that boat sleeping with a not single Oliver) and wants to reconcile with her family, but bring her sister's ex-boyfriend, the one who betrayed her with guess who, to the reunion? That's wrong! How did you expect Laurel to react?! Laurel has every right to be upset, not because Sara and Oliver are together, but because they almost rub it in her face, and Sara herself didn't even apologize for sleeping with her boyfriend. As I recall, it was Laurel herself who ended up apologizing, I mean what?!
@@ameliaadrinette1492no, Laurel was 100% in the wrong. Laurel could have been with Oliver if she didn’t want him being with anyone else, but she chose to not be with him because she thought it would be a betrayal of Tommy. Oliver spent months alone, and he did have feelings for Sara, so was he supposed to suppress them and remain alone? No, he’s free to be with whoever he wants, including Sara, and Laurel can’t say anything about it because she gave up that right the second she decided not to be with Oliver. She was acting horrible, not because Oliver and Sara were together, but because of her addictions. She realized that when Oliver gave her a rough wake up call, and that’s why she apologized, for making her sister feel horrible and thinking that Laurel wasn’t glad she was back or that she loved her.
@@deadpooldan9862 Laurel was acting bad but she has every right to be mad. Oliver can date whoever he wants but her sister who he cheated on her with? Thats a hard punch for anyone, especially if he comes with her sister in a moment so important as when Sara is gathering with her family again, Oliver shouldn't be there and Laurel has every right to be mad about he being there and about her sister starting to date Oliver as soon as she comes back before even talk properly with her and apologize. Laurel did act wrong but she is okay to be mad with Sara, not with Oliver thats the problem but she is totally right to be mad with Sara.
7/8 season I watched and instead of watching season 8 i start watching season 1 and damn, the first 3 seasons >
Oliver and Sara, they have so much potential as a couple, their stories are similar, everything they passed together in the island…
I mean I love Sara, but the thing with Oliver... she knows how much it hurt her sister when she found out Oliver cheated on her with Sara and now she does it again? Well, not cheating again, but hooking up right after she’s back in laurel’s life
Damn the show was so awesome back then. Wtf happened
Oliver and felicity then it became a teen drama
It was overrun by vigilantes
They did Laurel dirt in this show. Poor Kate Cassidy, I wonder how she felt when she realized she got sidelined over and over again in a show where she suppost be the lead.
How did Sara steal Oliver? Laurel told Oliver she didn’t want to get back together because it would feel like a betrayal to Tommy, meaning Oliver is free to be with whoever he wants and Laurel can’t say anything about it. If Laurel didn’t want Oliver to date anyone, she should have just gotten with him
I don’t care if she was on drugs or not oliver should’ve stayed out of it about what he said to laurel Oliver should’ve just stayed away
Bake her chicken 😂😂😂😂
Arrow was such a great series in season 1 ..but guess what.. There's a series that have fail right in the 20 minute of pilot episode.. You know which one?? 🤣🤣
I just.. I love Sara 😂💕 and I ship her with Oliver more than laurel, I don’t know what it is but I just can’t not like Sara... maybe it’s a lesbian thing

I like Sara more than laurel
SeaFaring Neptune same
Yeah, and probably Oliver just told the reason why on this clip.
Lmao when you find your random comment from 10 months
Laurel is not the only one screwed, Oliver has gone through crap too
And this video says 5 years ago as in uploaded date to this year and I can hear it

A DOCTOR!?!?
What?
Not to mention She doesn't take responsibility for Tommy's death
LMAO fucking italian dinner family scene
Man what has happened to this show now!
Katie Cassidy and Katy Lotz look great

one of the most weird and Awkward dinner scenes. this is where oliver and laurel were done and buried as a couple.
Oliver and Sara 😍 i ship so much ❤❤
They were supposed to be together anyway. 🤷♀️ Green Arrow and Canary. They messed it up! 🤦♀️
