Checked the comments specifically for this one.
I call it “the musicians curse”, after hours of practicing to a metronome and training yourself to be in time, your brain automatically starts doing things in time to whatever beat or music is playing at that current moment. I’ve seen it happen over and over again with my other musician friends.

25:53 Her garden and home is legit, she wasn't paid by the government to make her vlogs at all. It mainly was just something she did mostly to provide to her grandmother. The reason why Li Ziqi stop making videos was due to a legal dispute with her business partners that took more percentage of her name brand. She didn't want her name to be commercialize and sued the Hangzhou Weinian and has finally regain 99% of her brand. As of now, she is either taking a further hiatus to manage the IP and taking care of her grandmother or doesn't want to be in the spotlight anymore.

I thought Dan explained how sharks give birth at one point. He said to imagine you were being chased by a shark and suddenly there were two sharks I think
He did during one of the Endless Ocean games. Since they kept seeing sharks they were curious how they gave birth and it's just, just terrifying.

I've thought about doing this with Dan's "Boop boop bop boop beep" robot noise he does from time to time.
Real talk, this game's music is absolutely stellar. It's so faithful to the actual CDi (and Sega CD too, actually) sounds while also being actually really good.
I also love the references to real CDi games in the special areas (for example, the door-closing minigame is just Hotel Mario). It feels like a love letter.
A lot of the sound effects are reused from the CD-i titles too even. The bell is the exact same one heard during the infamous "I wonder what's for dinner" line from Faces of Evil, one of the sounds is the same sound made when Mario gets sucked up the warp pipe in Hotel Mario, and the damage sound effects are all the same as those heard in Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon too.
The music was done by a awesome chiptune artist named Button Masher (@_buttonmasher). Their music is amazing and their channel is highly underrated.
Loving this playthrough. Arin struggling to get that candle while Dan tells his "plumber" story had my sides splitting.😂
Because the big sign of no music and first thing Arin did was use the flute 😂
I'm upset that Dan and Arin never noticed that the Scarecrow's name isn't Conrad.

I think the type of birth sharks have is called "Ovoviviparity". I do believe this also happens in some snakes and amphibians, but I don't recall which ones specifically as I only learned it in high school like 7 years ago

For those wondering (including the Grumps), last mention from Liziqi (think that's the spelling) was she was still in legal battles regarding ownership/monetization of her content.
i just read up on it and i saw shed finally gained majority ownership of her content and may be coming back at some point. i only read one article so take that as you will. it was dated for December of 2022, so im sure theres probably more news out on it. i hope things work out for her, i love her vids

Damn. UA-cam finally figured out how to make their commercials match the vibe of the video. Advertised a car with LARPers joking about each other's mounts, then the one introduced her SUV & called it a legendary item. Lol
Oh, Dan would hate to learn how many of those 'we rescued an animal' videos are actually... People who have harmed those animals in order to 'rescue' them. It happens most often with turtles, where people glue things to their shells (read: their spines) which harms them.
I do like how casual you guys are with Arzette, and it seems like you are having fun. I would love to see you continue to play the game, and if the both of you are enjoying the gameplay, keep on keeping on.

Arin "I cant pick up context clues in games " Hansen strikes again trying to grab that candle at the end.
I like how Arin saw a giant "no music" sign and instantly played music, destroying the platform he needed to use to get the candle, and instead of owning up to his mistake, he tried fruitlessly to reach it before saying he must need an upgrade to get it.
So we have three brothers at our BGC whose names are, "Saint", "King", and "Legend". No Joke. So when that young man grows up one day, it could be that he does, "Hold for Legend."
Sign- has a music note with a slash in it, and the slash is the flute
Arin- immediately uses flute, spams it and tries jumping unsuccessfully to get the candle
That's what we call a trap. You might suspect that this symbol means you have to use the flute to make something happen, not realizing that making the thing happen makes the candle impossible to reach.

To be fair, I've seen other people make this same mistake.
I'm guessing that whole issue of the word "flesh" for Dan might be coming from Rocky Horror Picture Show and that line, "sins of the flesh" in Don't Dream It

Game Grumps knowing Li ZiQi was not on my 2024 bingo, but her channel was taken by her producers, she had gotten into a legal fight with them for years, there was some strange videos of her that came out and were promptly hidden, I heard that they settled, and she did want to come back to make videos, maybe under a new account, but I haven't seen anything from her just yet. I love her content and a lot of us are still waiting for her return some day, I hope her and her grandma are doing well

The game is fully VA, but it is comedy from intro to credits, it will give you plenty to play off of. Arin won't even need a walkthrough, it's a very well designed adventure game.
