What? The fact that Dan has the property and Arin has the money IS how it went for that long? If one had both the first space landed by the other would end it. You answered your own question. Dan has almost no reason to pay anything so doesn't need money, and Arin cant buy anything so gets to use his money just to pay Dan when he moves and keep playing.

The Monopoly episode in which it turns into a low-pay worker simulator who has to watch his income and eventually all of his savings eaten up by ever increasing inflation which doesn't affect the big business owner at all and only ever increases his vast fortunes because he is the one perpetuating the inflation for no other reason than to make more money. I feel so seen watching this unfold.

It's always great when the comments are always about the ad at the beginning of the episode rather than the main part. I can't believe I didn't see the punchline coming, but at the same time I'm glad it hit me like it did.

I think I’m gonna need a mega compilation-of all the commercials but beginning with Arin’s “Jennifer dumped me” bit from Battle Kid
Gonna need to see a playthrough where you systematically use all the houses & hotels... You have to put four houses on a single property before it can be upgraded to a hotel (at least in the board game). Once you've placed all the hotels you can use the houses to cover any remaining properties! It's a win-win-win-win-WIN!

They'll just be making constant trades shovelling any money and props they have until the boys go bankrupt, I'd love to see that but don't see how much strategy there could be.

The "planned obsolescence" thing is more tied to your phone using more battery to get you to use a newer phone, iirc. Charging is just physics, high energy and low energy states.

I’m watching this dan. I’ve gotten 4 hours of sleep in two days and got electrocuted today. My brain is gone and this is the perfect level of goofiness.
I believe others have mentioned this in the past, but I figure it's a good a time as any to bring it up again:
Difficulty setting in this game doesn't change much, only how much AI dice rolls cheat. Hard AIs are more likely to avoid property owned by other players, while Easy AIs is more likely to land on property owned by other players. The decision making regarding trades is completely unchanged! They're just that stupid!
(There is even an "infinite-money" trade exploit, utilizing how stupid the AI is with trading. Not technically infinte, but will let you basically steal all their money for nothing)

Amazing how all of this cascaded from the single bad (or best?) decision from Arin at the beginning, to auction that light blue property.
I love how they turned a game of monopoly where Dan owns the entire board from the start into a 30+ min session and I can't stop watching. Peak content!
Also, I'm mildly concerned that Dan's top hat is radioactive...they might want to get checked out. For safety's sake.
