I unironically love this game. It's hard af. My cousins and I played it when we were kids and couldn't get past the third level. As teens, we finally spent several nights trying to beat it and finally did. Along with Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands.

OMG yes! I remember my parents bought me all the Jumpstart PC games and it took me and my friend till summer after 5th grade to beat the 4th grade "Haunted Island" game. There was one mini game that was multiplication but plus speed and we tried over and over again to beat that level. We finally finished it right before 6th grade started. I still love that game. It had great music and pretty cool stylized art. So much nostalgia.

Dan said it best, "This game is struggling to be a game." But in a fun weird fever dream if a souls franchise turned into a Barbie games... Honestly this has good flavor. Pretty much Barbie having a fever dream and she wakes from the dream three times and doesn't make it she has dream it a different night starting over. That's a good gameover mechanic. And lob seems lame, but actually needs good timing. Hell, I was impressed when Arin did the first few time made it with the short drop before learning the longer throw command. I feel like I would have quit in ten minutes, but I am enthralled for the guys to finish. This be a gem of an episode. :D
They expected young girls to play this. 😂 I remember my friend getting this and she gave up within a half hour. There were no directions and everything was a guess. 😂 It kinda feels like games like this kept girls from playing videogames. 🤷🏻♀️

I don't know how much I cried over that game! My dad's whole thing was if I wanted to get a new video game, I had to beat the game that I currently had and show it to him... So, I looked them up. Hi Tech Expressions closed down in 1995 and primarily made games for little kids. Sesame Street, Barbie, Tom & Jerry, Bobby's World, We're Back: A Dinosaur Story, stuff like that.

But their most infamous releases are probably the DOS releases of Mega Man 1 & 3, Ninja Gaiden, and Street Fighter II.

I don't cave-dive, but I have watched cave-diving videos. This is more to do with the previous level which is in a cave, rather than the level linked. Some caves are a 'siphon' and some caves are 'springs.' A 'siphon' is a cave in which water flows INTO it and so there's a current welcoming divers inside... and resisting against divers trying to exit although that doesn't necessarily mean that it's impossible. It just takes more effort. But regardless, some professional divers REFUSE to swim in a 'siphon' cave. A 'spring' has the water pushing OUT of the cave, and so you need to push against that to get in, but thankfully to get out, it's much easier. In some cases, you don't even have to kick. The flow of the water will just 'carry' you out in time.
Kind of in-depth and unnecessarily detailed stuff for a silly 1991 BARBIE nintendo game, but meh, thought I'd share. Cave diving is cool... but there's FAR too many horror stories for my liking and so I'll pass lol

Whenever someone says "The Galleria" my mind ALWAYS goes to Terminator 2 when the T-1000 is looking for John Connor, he stops those kids and asks if they've seen him and they say I think he went to the Galleria. T-1000 repeats "The Galleria?" and you get that iconic scene with the box of roses, the shotgun, the chase scene after, etc. I don't know why but just "The Galleria?" gets me there and I think I'm alone on that.
