Bed height is always a huge problem for me when I travel. I need a bed that I can use a transfer board from a standard manual wheelchair. Anything else can not work. I have actually had to sleep in the chair in the room a few times. Very frustrating. Another thing is having a pull down shower chair on one side of the shower and the handheld shower and controls out of reach..
This is a great idea ladies, thank you. For me, I need to actually see the shower. I have been horrified to see that the standard in the US seems to be shower heads attached to the wall. I would prefer roll in but can bring things and make do with a tub, but a shower with a hose that I can hold in my hand is an absolute necessity. I would like to get to WDW for the first time in 2022 (my first holiday in eighteen years) and honestly this shower issue is currently my main concern. I have faith in Disney dealing with everything else or in my ability to bring equipment, but there seems to be no UA-cam tours including showers in accessible rooms that I can find, and the wording when booking lacks clarity “adjustable shower head” - does that mean one that can be angled differently, or does that actually mean “handheld with hose”. It’s very confusing.
I would love to know which hotels around Disney World (not Disney Hotels) have transportation for 2 scooters (EVC) I have called a few of them but none of them had any transportation that would accommodate the EVCs. If anyone knows of any please let me know!! Thank you!
