@Psihometalefcore, I have used several pedals with my amp. I have a FBV shortboard plugged in and then I have my guitar feeding into an echo park, rotomachine, digi chorus and then a couple of others....I have had no problems.

that was very helpful,why doesnt the instructions tell you all that.i have a question,i have a boss loopstation,do you know how i can hook it up without it sounding bad.
when i do it the normal way,amp,loopstation guitar,the looper retains the guitar effects ,so if im using distortion then so is the loopstation ,see what i mean.would i hurt it if i tried it in the pod style plug?
@Psihometalefcore - hey bro - i got a Spider 3 110 watt - its the same amp only more louder.. all the functions and settings are the same anyyyywayyy to answer your question. .. i am able to use pedals with my amp no problem at all. got to admit though the only pedal i use now is my boss DS1 believe it or not.. the amp has a ridiculous set of setups.. really worth getting one..
real helpful man I got myself a line6 spider II 150 combo but I cant play it till tomorrow cuz thats when I'll be jammin with my band but I was wonderin can you use the two noise surpressor and distortion boost settings together and if the noise gate is on does that bring the reverb at all?
Do you know of a website that has mapped out all of the patches so that we do not have to painfully go step by step for each of the 100 or so presets that we might like. Someone by this time should've do this...I least I hope so.
CD/MP3 - Plug in any audio source and if feeds directly into Spider III's speaker or headphones so you can jam with your favorite music or drum machine. Us the DEVICE'S output control to adjust it's volume. Start with your mp3 player's LOWEST setting and bring it up to the volume you desire.
I know this is a really old video but I’m curious if there is a way to use the amp just as a amp and none of the features it offers. I have a mustang amp and if I hold the power button and the setup button it turns the amp into a pass through type amp which allows me to use anything external and the amp effects are not used.
When I press and hold tap the only thing that happens is the tuner come on. I cant get D led light to come on to indicate noise gate is on or setting lights to come on. What am I doing wrong ?
Distortion Boost: Press and hold the Tap button as you turn the Drive knob up past 12:00. Noise Gate: Press and hold Tap as you turn the Reverb knob up past twelve o'clock, and you turn on a built-in Noise Gate, which helps to cut down on hiss and noise. When you do this, the Channel D LED comes on to indicate that the Gate is on.
I set my Channel B by pushing the Channel B button then release, now set the Amp Model, Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble, Effects and Reverb to suit me then push the Channel B button and hold until it stops flashing then release, now your channel B saves your settings. You can do the same with Channel A, C & D. I set my Channel A clean then start adding candy to B, C &D. I use the 2 button foot switch to change channels while playing.
I've been searching for new amps because i hated the noise gate! I got this amp about 5 years ago you are brilliant thank you so much!

Easy, just move the knob to clean, even if it's on clean, move it off, then onto clean again..goes into passthrough

Press the presets button and then turn it. You should be able to see the Noise Gate then.
