i 100% understand what you said about with the fire on high being a comfort read - i loved that book so much and i was actually surprised at how much it stuck with me even after i finished it. Elizabeth acevedo really does have a way of describing Amani's cooking scenes and just making them feel so cozy and wholesome 🥰

I 100% AGREE about Bernadette, i absolutely adore it and it makes me so happy to see Bernadette's issues being expressed in a more unusual, humorous way bc it's very relatable for me and the characters and settings are so different and great. Fat Chance Charlie Vega was also SO GOOD i had such a great time reading it!!
