I interviewed a general surgeon recently who did trauma and bariatric surgery as well as various laparoscopic procedures. Seems like a great specialty!

There's also vascular surgery. It's both a categorical residency and a fellowship after general surgery.

Haha, tu me fais trop rire avec tes lunettes, Donovan :) J'espère que tout va bien pour toi dans ta résidence. C'est cool de t'entendre parler de chirurgie, c'est tellement loin de mon monde ;)

Can you become a neurosurgeon via the general surgeon route ? For example after graduating general surgery residency can you then go on and apply for a neurosurgical residency or fellowship ?

I liked your video a lot! I've been trying to research for a UA-cam video similar to yours that explains the topics in this video! 🙌 The knowledge at 1:19 is my favorite. Your vid is like the vids from Doctor Ethan! His explanations are insightful and I actually learned a lot for finals. He is an educational medical student in Europe.
You should really see his UA-cam out and give the health enthusiast a like! 👉 #FutureDoctorEthan

kinda late but how are you 22 and a resident. I understand that u could get into med school after your 3rd year and that the mcmaster md program is 3 years, but that means u graduate med school at 24, or 23 if you started schooling in a different country.

He probably graduated highschool early. and then did a special medschool program out of highschool where you go do undergrad and medschool at the same time; and he probably had super good scores on everything as well. Something along those lines. Especially in CAN where there aren't that many schools.
