My daughter got 3040 yesterday. Got up early each morning for the last six weeks and did a mock. Identified her weaknesses as she went and gradually improved on those areas. It's just about putting in the work. Anyone who tells you different isn't being straight.
That’s amazing! Could I ask for some more information on how she revised? I’m taking mine in August and mainly using Medify to revise, however I don’t think I will have enough Mocs available to do one every morning. I would be so appreciative for any tips!
@@amethystspeaker6919 Hi - I'm the daughter! I also used medify but only discovered it 4 weeks before the ucat. I used the mini tests a lot and then for the last week did a full mock each morning. I did no more revision than this because it's easy to overdo it and get burnt out. Best of luck!! Also it is very early to start revising - personally I would suggest doing 4-6 weeks of revision before the exam.
Do you think a gap-year is a good idea? My daughter now has two med offers, but could use a breather. Only problem is she's worried that all that bio and chem won't be fresh in her mind if she takes a year out. Does that even matter?
Honestly it's more about balancing life, so I personally would suggest to not take a drop, instead find time for enjoyment and relaxation while consistently studying 3-4 hours everyday, a drop year is a potential year of earning/education/expereinces which is best not to lose, well since I am 1 year late I'm pretty sure my opinion can't affect the decision already taken, but just leaving it here for anyone who might stumble upon it

This is the Dad again. She got KCL and Sheffield. Only interviewed for two unis - couldn't be bothered doing the other two. Good luck.
