p.s. all info was correct at time of filming lol
here's to hoping we can see the back of COVID in 2021 so that we can go back to doing some of the activities mentioned in this video! until then the uni has other alternatives in place that you can always read up on :)

just got an offer from Bath to study management. I have to say they are being extremely generous cuz I just met the minimum requirement. Already anticipating my uni life there!!
and also thank you for the video! informative and entertaining
haha same, maybe see you there!
Thanks for this video it was really helpful! It was nice to hear about Psychology as well - the modules sound really good :)
Thank you! I'm glad it was useful :)
I'm an international student studying BSc. psychology at the University of Bath too!! The psychology department at Bath is really good 😊
Yess big up Bath ahah! Glad we both agree, hope you’re enjoying your course too 😊
Love the energy!! Has definitely helped make my decision :))
Thank you!! 😊 glad I could help
Thank you for the video, I've just applied for computer science. You deserve more views !!
Aw thank you so much I hope it was helpful!! Good luck with your application 🤍
God I really cant choose it's a hard choice but you've made me really like really enjoy bath!!! Thanks for the video!
I’m glad it could help in some way! :)
I just got an offer from bath, I really want to go now but I’m worried bout these teacher assessed grades now 😂
ah I can imagine it must be stressful for you guys applying to uni at the moment, waiting for results can't be fun - but try to think positively about it and things will always work out :) good luck!!
Well done! I’m still waiting on my offer from Bath, do you mind me asking when you applied? 💓
@@oliviamai6392 I'm still waiting for my offer too 🤞 we get them soon
congrats on your offer x what was your predicted grades ?
I can’t wait to be there!
Thanks for the great video, definitely clears up some things! Maybe could you run through the best way to sort out accommodation and all that so I don't make too many mistakes! Thankssss
I'm glad I could help :) thank you for the suggestion that sounds like a good idea! I'll start trying to put some thoughts together for a video
Thank you so much for this, answered all of my questions! X
No worries, I’m glad I could help! X
I'm filming a quick fire questions video about general student life and bath uni soon, so if you have any juicy or burning questions comment them in the replies or dm me on insta! (@rhianaaa) 🤍 I'll be answering everything!
Also, is Bath rlly small - as I’ve lived all my life in the centre of London. I love walking and exploring London and it’s something I’d like to do if I moved to Bath. I’m just worried because someone said you can walk around it in 20 minutes ?!?
If you come from London I would agree Bath is quite a different environment, but I wouldn’t say it is lacking things to do! That 20 mins might just be referring to walking from one end of the city centre to the other, but there are lots of shops, restaurants and views/parks across different areas of Bath that are fun to explore. Hope this helps!
i know this is very late but do you think the psychology department at Bath is better than Manchester Uni or KCL?
Hi thank you for such good video, I'm thinking of studying psychology at Bath next year but I worry about making friends as I can be quite shy, would you say people there are friendly and welcoming to international students?
also, would you say there are things to do during freshers that don't involve drinking, as don't want be only one in halls to not go out clubbing every night...
bristol is a 15 min train ride so i would just go there for nights out haha
This vid was so helpful thank you! What's your perception of other accommodation blocks like Polden or Woodland court? Would you say that the social life is better in some places than others?
Ah I'm glad I could help! :) I only got chance to go to Woodland Court and the Quads in first year, but from my experience, the Quads had a separate room besides the kitchen with sofas etc which was really good for socialising (me and my friends often had to squeeze round the kitchen table in Marlborough ahaha), and Woodland Court also has a larger kitchen with some sofas so there may be extra room there. However, I imagine most places are relative to the flat size (e.g. Marlborough and Solsbury are flats of 7, Quads is 8-10 etc.) so there's always ways to make the most of it! I would say the social life isn't totally dependent on where you live, but more about meeting people and making the most of social events and activities. Sorry for the paragraph haha but hope that answers your question!
Just come across this video! I'm still waiting to hear back from Bath for psychology - even though my grades are above the entry requirements, just shows how competitive it is! Really hope I do get offered though as I love it. For me it is between Bath and Durham (as I was also fortunate to get offered Durham very early on), what would you say Bath has that puts it above other universities? And what are your favourite things about Bath? Thank you for the video xx
Hey, try not to worry about not receiving an offer yet as I remember Bath was the last uni to respond to me too! I would say the things that drew me to Bath were the campus, as I loved having so many facilities within a close proximity (e.g. shops, cafes, the Students Union, lectures etc), and it’s such a lovely city! So you can walk across campus within 15-20 mins but then there’s plenty of things to do in the city centre. Also the psychology course was pretty high in the rankings and I’ve enjoyed the optional modules available. No worries I hope this helps, and good luck! :) xx
I’m starting bath in September. Super excited :)
Ahh I hope you have the best time! I’m sure you will 🥰
@@RhianaJade aw thank you
How is bath?
loved your video ! I've just received a conditional offer from Bath I'm so excited ! I'm just a little bit nervous bc I'm French, my English isn't that good and I fear that I will fail my classes or that I won't meet any other international students...
aw thank you!! & congrats on the offer 🥰 I’d say you are definitely not alone when it comes to worries but from my experience and from people I’ve met at bath, there’s so many ways to meet people such as in societies and clubs (which have virtual socials on offer at the moment) - also, I had a French flatmate in first year who made friends with a group of fellow international students within the first couple of days at uni :) I’m sure you’ll do well & have a great time! X
The real question is, does the accommodation come with a bath?
Haha unfortunately not! Most of the campus accommodation I’ve encountered don’t have baths I’m afraid, but this website is really useful if you want more details: www.bath.ac.uk/corporate-information/undergraduate-accommodation-prices-2020-to-2021/
Thank you so much! Are you doing a BSc in Psychology? Also, I was wondering if there was a community sense at the uni?
I am! :) I would say there is and that the university definitely strives to maintain a community feel - for me I think joining a club or society really helps to feel integrated within the uni community in particular 🙌🏼
this video was really great, thank you!! xx
Aw thank you!! I’m glad I could help :) x
Hey I need to talk to someone regarding this. I'll be highly obliged if you can. So can you please give me your social media or something so we can interact. I hope you understand.
@@sanaagupta4809 Hi Sanaa, if you’d like you can dm me on Instagram @rhianaaa with your questions :)
Got an offer from bath recently looks cool, but was just wondering whether there’s much of a dnb/dance scene there? Because things I’ve read so far suggest not?
Congrats on your offer! I’ll be honest, I don’t think there are as many dnb events compared to a lot of bigger cities. I’m not an expert but I have seen clubs in bath hold dnb nights and things like that so it’s not completely forgotten about! :) But I’m pretty sure Bristol has a decent dnb scene and is accessible for nights out from Bath 🙌🏼
Hey I need to talk to someone regarding this. I'll be highly obliged if you can. So can you please give me your social media or something so we can interact. I hope you understand.
The DnB in Bath is pretty bad, you get occasional nights with a single headline DJ (look at the revelations and all night long promoters for some examples of past events). However, Bristol is a 10 - 15 minute train journey where you have Motion, lakota, O2 Bristol and more. Getting the train back on Saturday morning is fine but on Sunday you have to wait until 8:15 or get a taxi if there is a group of you. Motion is an amazing club and is right next to Bristol temple meads train station.
I am planning to study sports management and I got offers from both bath and Loughborough. Do you have any info that can help me to choose the uni?
Hey, from what I know both Bath and Loughborough are both pretty big on sports so you've landed well there! I would say to work out what you would like to get out of your university experience the most (e.g. good placements? / facilities? / social life etc.) and then weigh both of them up by those factors! Sorry if that's not the most useful haha but if you had any specific questions about Bath I might be better able to help you that way? :)
The offer I got is AA but I achieved A*B do you think I should firm bath?I am worried that because the process of my grades and whether they take me or no takes time I will lose all the good accommodation.
Hey, I know of quite a few cases where Bath has been a bit more lenient and let people in on grades less than their original offer, so if you really like the look of the uni and it’s your top choice I would say 100% firm it! Try not to let those things worry you, and I’m pretty sure you can apply to accommodation with your tanked choices before your results are through so it’s assigned on a random basis post-results :) hope this helps and good luck!
@@RhianaJade thanks a lot for your answer😁😁😁Awesome channel keep up the good work😍
@@manolisv2287 thank you so much!
I want to join bath but rumours are saying that I have other choices.
I'm an indian and want to apply there. But I wanna know if there's an entrance exam or interview for the admission. If yes, is it hard to crack
There is no entrance as such, you just need to apply and wait to hear from the uni if they accept you or not.
Do you think its easy to get to and from Bristol if I was going to a concert? Like are there public buses running between them late at night?
I’m not 100% on what the bus situation is but I would imagine there is a service that runs from Bath to Bristol as they have pretty good links. The trains are also pretty quick and the station is right next to a uni bus stop which is quite handy! I also know people that have booked taxis for Bristol nights out when going out as a group as they can split the money, but that’s probably a pricier option. I would say there definitely ways to do it though without too much fuss, hope that helps :)
getting the train back Saturday morning is fine as the trains are running from early on. Sunday morning is different as the first trains are at around 8am and the buses aren't that much better
I’ve applied as a postgrad, if I wanted to live in a house in the city of Bath which areas would you say are the best?
I'd say the most popular student areas for uni of Bath students are Oldfield Park and maybe Bear Flat! They have their own smaller town amenities nearby but are still within an easy distance of the city centre / uni bus stops :)
@@RhianaJade thank you! ☺️ will probably bring my car round too, too many hills😂!
Oh yeah there are some areas with hills everywhere tbf! 😂 all the best with your course though x
Hiii, do you think Marlborough/Solsbury or quads is better? Xx
Hey! Personally I would say Marlborough/solsbury have better rooms, as there’s more space and a bigger desk area! But on the other hand quads do have the advantage of an extra social space (Marlborough/solsbury only have the kitchen) so it depends what you want to prioritise! But I was really happy with Marlborough xx
Can you please give me some information about the placement of Indian students in MBA program
Did you get your first choice accommodation?
I did! 🥰 Marlborough/solsbury was my first choice but I know that’s not always guaranteed though
I am coming to Bath this year for Masters in Business Analytics for Sept. 2021 intake. I am from india. If you guys know anyother student going to Uni of Bath this year do reply to this comment, would love to connect before going to a new country :)
Hi, I got an offer for Masters in Business Analytics in University of bath!! I am from India. How's the course and other aspects??
Where do most students typically tend to do most of their shopping for food? Is there a place on campus or do you go into the city to do it?
I'd say most students in halls make online orders and get their shopping delivered to campus from Tesco/Asda etc! There is a shop called Fresh on campus where you could buy your food but I'd say there's more choice and it is cheaper to order / shop in the city supermarkets :) I used to use Fresh more for picking up snacks / things I had forgotten
Hey I need to talk to someone regarding this. I'll be highly obliged if you can. So can you please give me your social media or something so we can interact. I hope you understand.
What’s your opinion perspective on transport distance when you stay in unite student accommodation in Charlton?
Charlton court is a 20 minute walk from town so is a good distance in terms of the city centre! There are also bus stops to both uni of Bath and Bath Spa within a decent vicinity of that accommodation, but the uni of Bath stops are a little further. For first year it is quite handy if you can live in halls on campus, but living at charlton would still give a good experience I imagine as you are surrounded by plenty of other students! :)
@@ana_8696 yeah of course! My insta is @rhianaaa feel free to drop me a dm x
Hey!
I have received an offer for Masters in Management. Could you please tell me anything about it? Is Bath a good school? Asking only because it doesn't feature on the russell group list and since I am international student the emphasis on Russel group unis are more..
I will be glad if you could help!
Thanks in advance
Hi I'm applying for the same course. I have the same questions. Have you made a decision yet? If yes could you mention your reasons for the same?
Have a look on guardian/ which university rankings can be a good indicator
Hey
Your videos are super informative 👍🏻 looking forward to watch a couple more before moving to UK 😀
I’ve got offers from Uni of Bath, Aston Uni, Brunel Uni and SHU for MBA-sep’21.. I’m awaiting response from Durham(Fingers crossed🤞🏻).. which would be the best Uni among these.. I’m confused between Bath and Aston ..🤔.. please help
Hey, thank you! And congrats on your offers 😊 to be honest I think these kind of things are subjective to individuals, but the first difference that jumps out to me between those two unis is that Aston is a much bigger/busier city environment, compared to Bath which is a bit smaller scale. If you want to compare the courses themselves there’s always the league tables, where you can see both of their ranks in general and for the course you applied for! I’ll leave a link to one of the league table websites if you’d like to have a look 🙌🏼 hope this helps!
www.theguardian.com/education/ng-interactive/2020/sep/05/the-best-uk-universities-2021-league-table
@@RhianaJade I’m considering Bath .. but in few ranking lists for 2021 Aston has a better ranking ..🤔
Ah okay I see! I’m afraid I don’t have too much info to give you about Aston, but I can tell you that Bath is pretty well known for its placement opportunities and I personally think it has a really nice campus! It depends what the main things are that you want out of uni really :)
@@RhianaJade thanks a ton, this helps☺️... how about the part time jobs and local accommodation/cost of living in Bath ?
Bath uni gave me life altering depression
how so?

What is LGBTQ+ diversity like ?
The uni actually has a page on the SU website about their LGBTQ+ group which highlights the support for an inclusive environment! Here is the link if you’d like to take a look 😊 www.thesubath.com/lgbt/
