Ive been into music production for 10 years and done courses with dubspot and point blank and your vids are easily the best step by step and most informative how to’s I’ve ever seen! Bless STRANJAH!!
I've been producing for 2 months studying UA-cam tutorials, experimenting with serum and analyzing my favorite track and trying to make similar sounds that inspire me, I met Taiki Nulight last night and brother said "him, Hamdi, and a few others all went to the same university and all quit after the first year and that Nulight learned most of everything off UA-cam tutorials" mans a real inspiration and thank you so much for being here for me and the community, not gatekeeping and promoting the growth of the scene and industry, can't do this without you 🙏
This is something i never thought i wanted to learn about. I'm so blown away by how smart you are. You explain so clearly. You take the time to explain how in each step what effect it produces which makes me understand much better.
As soon as you mentioned engagement i started typing this comment, we take youtube and the many talented creators for granted. Long time sub but definitely going to engage on your content more. 5 star every time. Big up stranjah
These are the most useful tutorials on UA-cam! Thank you! I like making 140 bpm music and all of these concepts apply naturally. I really appreciate how after you've shown us how to make the bass, then you show us how to implement it and making variations in the context of writing basslines and constructing a tune. It's very helpful! Nice work.
Thanks for the vids bro, found you yesterday and so far I dig your tuts, always great to have ppl explain why to do something and not just what to do. Keep up the good work my man.
Dude amazing amazing tutorial you blew my mind. When you played the beat my jaw dropped, had goosebumps, and couldn't stop smiling - it's so on point!!! Thanks for posting
STRANJAH nuff luv i spent years learning this my self, constantly going over vinyls, and you freed this knowledge to the world nuff respect, were were you 15 years ago
An accurate TB-303 with proper accent notes and tones, is a sound I have seen many serum user attempts but not fully succeed in. Good luck😃. The patch will need to use all 4 macros and the mod wheel to replicate the Cut off frequency , resonance, env mod, decay, and accent knobs. Accent notes can be shorter like a muted sound and more to a more distorted filter driven sound, being more slapped sounding. Then with distortion the sound will get acidic squelchy and accented notes seem to add a second resonant peek. 🤤that’s all the tips I can give.
First names who came in my mind, were Original Sin and DJ Sly;) Working on a Jungle-Set at the moment, and your tipps about Drums and Pad-layering helps a lot...thx for all the tutorials
I was just recommended your channel and it's making me want to start learning the basics of EDM production... I used to DJ years ago and always wanted to produce but I never did...
yessss g, that introo love to see some skanking in the US looking like a badman, love the tutorials too theyre really helpful as with jump up we are all kind of in the dark about synths besides word of mouth so this is a blessing
Love the way you break down each lesson. They've really helped my production skills grow. But hands down my favorite part are your dances at the start. Keep steppin' my brother!
Along with many of the other comments I too really appreciated this video. You've done a great job at explaining yourself and the process. But most of all... the examples at the end were the most helpful part of this. Time and time I've watched videos quite like this one here, but never much of a breakdown on how to make the midi parts. Thanks for this video and keep making quality videos just like this one. You my got my sub and I look forward to more!
Thanks for the preset, I just wrote a Blues Jump Up track with it in Eminor. I love imagining what Drum n Bass would sound like in the 60's Blues Scene. Love the art of swing. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for the education. Love learning about dotted 1/8th notes. You are the only one I see talking about it on all the channels I watch. Great perspective on the anatomy of those bass melodies. It has enhanced my productions in the last few weeks.
@@Artersa My new single under my DnB moniker Resonating Ergonomics is called 13 Ways to Groove featuring Owen Davey a teen multi instrumentalist prodigy which was based on Dave Brubeck, London Elektricity, and Tokyo Prose. Its on Spotify or Apple Music or Bandcamp. I have lots of other music under my name Nathan McKay or my Hip Hop under Nat Saturn, and Neo Soul under Karaleigh. Check out Owen Davey's UA-cam Channel. It was great to have him part of it. He does lots of metal and prog rock covers, but he is a great jazz pianist. The singer is Jessi Elgood. She is a dope singer songwriter we discovered busking in Stratford ON Canada. What is your social media handle? Mine are @natocore and @resonatingergonomicsdnb
you really did a brilliant work m8, first for the nice results and the cool explaining of the video, and second for the video edition. Keep doing this, u legend 🙌🙌
The sound you are trying to achieve, the 'vocal', reminds me of why the E-MU Z-Plane filters were so incredible at the time. Their formant filters were able to shape just about anything in a voice, of ooo, ahhh, oohhhh etc. Very wicked stuff back from E-MU and it is too bad they are gone from the scene.
Thank you so much,, I have learned so much watching your channel. I'm mad I only just discovered this 2 days ago but so grateful to vets like you who let us peasants into your musical secrets.....
More passionate and detailed science🇬🇧Going to sign up to your Ableton course, they are doing a free 90 day trial so I’m going to give a go✌️Thanks for the knowledge sir, ranked NO.1, remaining at the top like the 🌞 ❤️

Nicest tutorial I've seen in a WHILE. Maybe ever. Nice job. Subbed :)
RIP dominator - great vid again!
I also found if you add an OTT compressor, drop the threshold and slightly boost the gain it really makes a punchy sound
I don’t even use Abelton but your flow is still my favorite for tutorials. I’d also love to see some longer sessions as well ;)
