Excellent! Up here in Alaska, mushers prefer a high fat kibble for working sled dogs. I hunt my labs every weekday from Sept thru January and feed the highest fat/highest protein kibble on the market. I like kibble where the first ingredient is Menhaden such as Red Paw Power Edge 32 k. (32%Protein, 25% Fat)

This year we switched to Inukshuk 30/25. Excellent food with a huge savings when purchasing by the pallet. I don't know why, but I have always steered clear of Redpaw. I think it is the addition of bloodmeal that I'm not too keen of. Thanks for the comment! And thanks for watching!

Lots of great content here, I appreciate very much. I was feeding major top brand until it got recalled and then the brand i went to by recomendation of trainer was recalled and pulled off the market. Maybe you could pick a top 3 without sole sourceing and help us folks out that just need to feed a decent dog food. honestly the money does not matter ... just want to feed a decent feed that is not going to kill my dogs. Waylon and Willie are 2 year old yellow lab brothers 70lbs and 80lbs both in training 3 every day. Thank you!

If money were no object we would be feeding Orijen. But with 4 dogs we simply cannot afford it. We currently feed Inukshuk 30/25 and are very happy with it. We buy it by the pallet and split with friends. We are also on the trusted retailer program if you are located near southeast MN. There are hundreds of trusted retailers Nationwide. I hope this helps. 😉

Very interesting. I make my own dog food however. I would be interested to hear your input on that.

Thank you. I would imagine if you are feeding the AAFCO macro and micro requirements you are doing much better than the average person. With 4 dogs to feed I cannot afford that, nor do I have the time, but really admire people that do!

Thank you for making such an important line of videos on nutrition. I struggle with knowing what to feed. I buy an expensive quality food.......but is it quality???? I am going to learn aren't I!! ❤️

We all struggle. Even when I thought I knew good ingredients I was floored at what I learned. That said, it comes down to what we can afford. And in the end, they are dogs, not people. But if we are educated we can make better choices that still fit our budget. Thanks for watching!

And what I really meant is "supposed " to be a quality dog food. Some times when you know nothing you think well if I spend a little more it's got to be good, or maybe the best. I am all about affordable plus good choices. I stuck the expensive in there, because me of all people realize that doesn't make it better it just makes me feel better when I don't know what I'm doing, and that's most of the time. The three of us are just learning on the fly. Luckily the dogs would eat ol Roy and still love the heck out of me❤️ well maybe not Maddie🤣 Keep up the amazing work!! I am making my way through all your videos!!
