My small dog had a hard time with some freeze dried food, treats. Too hard. BUT perhaps the food/meal is different.
So glad Stella & Chewy’s is in the chef’s kiss category! We use their stew and bone broth as a topper to our pup’s Honest Kitchen dog food!

However, unlike you, I will try to refrain from passing judgement. I will share how I received your comment though. It seems from your comment as if you assume I haven’t spoken to a vet/checked multiple sources of information. (This is a false assumption.) Please note I wrote she HELPED me make a decision. I never said she was the sole reason. Further, if you’ve had a chance to watch more than this one video you will see where she has shared her experience & consistently encouraged all viewers to do our own research & NOT take her word for it alone. I will continue to get my information from where ever I please and I hope you do the same. One thing I hope we do agree on is we all want what’s best for our furry friends. @@eb7533 And, Skylar is not a Random you tuber. She is an informed professional. I'm sure her info is very useful. AND the dog owner still has to find a healthy food if their going to skip grain free. I am Not going for totally grain free and want to include Taureen amino acid as needed. But Megan P. should note that Vet's are recommending dog food they get money from and ones that are not always best. An MP is a RANDOM You Tuber as well. I appreciate her feed back though, just disagree with her approving ALL Vet's as an advisor. And her critical sounding post. Take care EB and MP, you love your fur babies !!!

At first I decided to give my dog an all raw food, but everything changes when a family noticed signs of my dog's fridge starting to broke down and it'll be a while until we could afford another second hand fridge for her (we don't mix her raw meal with our family's fridge). thanks for uploading this, this will help a lot !

I've listened to a couple of your presentations, and now I'm here, ready to take you recommendations. Your knowledge is so evident, and I appreciate an independent review with analysis behind it. Me too! I was taking my pup, Diamond, to Banfield and the vet recommended Purina pro plan. I saw a bunch of Purina marketing on the walls so I had my suspicions as to why they were recommended.
As someone in vet med, we recommend the "big three" because they have the most research. I'd love to see the studies behind the other foods recommended here.

If they have so much research why are that kibble filled with cereals and nasties (meat by products which are literally shit)

Costco’s Kirkland is amazing! It comes out to about $1 a can I think. Cheap and great ingredients, especially considering the price point. Also, it is super moist and soft! I am impressed because it stays soft even after refrigeration.

Hello, I just found your channel and omg I'm so happy I did! I wish every kitty or doggy owner would watch this. One subject that really bothers me that I would LOVE if you made a video about is ( Prescription) dog and cat foods that you can get at your veterinarian. I could tell in your viedos that you are as passionate about this (problem) subject as I am. I have done years of research on cat and dog foods but where I get the most upset is this subject. Please, please, please make a video about this. So many pet owners need to here it. Thank you for making these videos. I'm glad I found your channel.💜

I do have a quick question though, my puppy has been eating raw for a while now and I have tried many things with him but he's just not crazy about food and I was thinking about adding something so he gets more nutrition, would adding carna4 kibble mixed with raw be okay? i know a lot of kibble takes a different ph balance in their belly to digest but because of the ingredients in carna4 would it be okay mixed with raw?
There is a lot of debate about feeding raw and kibble together. I personally have fed both together and had no issues and in talking with my peers they have had the same experience. If your pup is particularly sensitive or seems to digest the food better when fed separate I would do that, otherwise it doesn't matter too much.

For the raw food list-I think you should definitely include the three biggest premade companies, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, and Instinct! For the wet cat I'd really like to see you talk about the Wellness Complete health!

I just love your reviews! Very informative and helpful. I have been struggling to do the same thing on my own without your knowledge. Could you please review Open Farm, Nulo and Dr. Tim's Kinesis wet and dry dog foods. These are a few I have settled on over the years but find their prices keep going up. If I am going to continue to feed these at very high costs I wanted to make sure they were good choices. Thank you for your consideration and all you do for our animals as well as us the pet parents!

Thank you for this info. I feed Nutri Source to my English Lab and was pleased to find I had made a good choice. I give the kibble but now might buy some canned to mix in. (She also gets a blob of pumpkin, spoon of Greek yoghurt, and blueberries on top). 👍

For raw please do primal, small batch (I think only available in california, not sure but amazing product!), vital essentials and darwin's. Already looking forward to your next video!

I work in a grocery store and Cesar's is one of the main food on shelves knowing that their awful and not good for dogs it honestly upsets me especially since I'm getting my first puppy in 3 days I'm definitely not feeding him the stuff on the counter

Hey Skyler, I was wondering if you could possibly do a deep dive on first mate dry dog and cat food please!!
This was genuinely such an amazing video! My Golden Retriever has SUCH bad allergies, she can so far only eat salmon and sweet potato. Because of this she has been on only one kibble her whole life as everything else we have tried sends her into an itchy mess. I have never even considered a fish based wet food would exist! My girly hates her food so much, and I would love to spice up her dinner, but I also need to be SO careful as one bad meal sends her into a 2 month long rash.
I'm dealing with the same situation with my shar pai/ golden retriever mix. If you have some advice please pass it to me!

I was actually surprised on some food since I got my education in the industry😅 I would love to know your opinion on 2 brands that are popular in my store: 1st Choice and Go!. I would really appreciated it and again thanks for all the info❤️❤️
1st choice is made by plb international. Which isnt all too big. The ingredients arent very very good but not very very bad either. It is a competitive brand against science diet . In the gauge shown by this lady. 1st choice would probably fall in cheers or yucky. And to note there’s pro nature from the same company

Please understand any food backed up by vets won’t be good for your fur baby because vets want you to continue coming back it’s a business tactic. Why would they offer food that’s gonna keep your baby fully healthy, that won’t bring them any money because your pet wouldn’t really get sick & they won’t be needed as much.
