Your enthusiasm and energy are exactly what we need to see from a coaster enthusiast. Sometimes I’m a little disappointed in people saying great rides aren’t that special just because of other rides. Kings Island is my home park and I never knew how soiled I was by the operations till my son and I went on a summer trip to several other parks. Great content and glad you loved the park!

This is very true, it’s refreshing and very much welcomed to see two friends enjoy themselves at an Ohio park NOT names Cedar Point or at a park enjoying a coaster not named Fury325, Iron Gwazi, SteVe etc etc etc, Kings Island has always been an amazing park and has always been a major part of my families life and source of entertainment, thrills and laughs over many decades now. It is one of my home parks though I am not originally from Ohio, we drove down every year from Chicago to enjoy Kings Island because it was always such a great park. Im more a fan of the paramount years personally but cedar fair is one of the best park chains in the US hands down and credit to them as well since taking over ownership of Kings Island.
Kings island definitely has the best employees hands down. No other park comes close to what the employees of kings island consistently deliver to make the guest experience as happy and fun as possible.
@@Sabir_DelNorte I'm late to this but Kings Island tops Cedar Point in my opinion. Better atmosphere, better ride operations, better staff. Ride operations are top notch.
I absolutely cannot get enough of The Beast. The speed of that thing while it flies through the woods is absolutely incredible. Smooth as butter as well.

Smooth for a wooden coaster. Especially how old it is. I dont expect wooden ones to be as smooth anyway but ive ridden new er wooden ones that were waaay rougher. Hell i thought the vortex at kings island banged you up more than beast. Beast was fun to me its epic how long the ride is

I’m pretty sure you left out flight of fear
The Beast is a legend. If it was not trimmed, word is that it would do about 70 to 75mph. It clocks in at about 63mph now. The retracking did wonders for it. The Beast retains it's legendary status as one of the very best night rides on planet Earth.
Your hype throughout the video speaks volumes. I was just like you on my most recent to KI for all 14 hours I was there. Great energy!
Also, it's great to hear such positive opinions about The Beast! My favorite coaster there! That retracking changed the game. It's perfect now. Like a drunk kid designed Wood Coaster 1 in RollerCoaster Tycoon with an unlimited budget and it actually exists.

Great vid as always. I think one reason Kings Island is so good is that it was in competition with Cedar Point for many years which forced both Parks to be inventive. Kings Island also has such a great history that they capitalize on. Even now that it is a cedar fair park, the leadership has been around through many decades and loves the park just as much as the fans. So glad you got to do some of the classic things like beast night rides, getting arm wet on Dback splash down, good duel on Racer, the "Blue Ice cream (aka the Smurf ice cream from years past) that is officially a blue berry flavor, and so much more. So glad to see you experience the things that I have been experiencing for 15 years. Kings Island is a great home park and until I started traveling other places I had no idea how special it was. The operations are killer at Kings Island and we ALWAYS have all the rides open (with the exception of occasional Bat closure). In terms of night rides I don't know if there is a better park. Kings Island uses the "remote" settings to create extraordinary night rides on Beast, Orion, Dback, Banshee, Mystic Timbers, and The Bat (The Bat never gets enough credit for how good it is and how good it's night rides are). My personal favorite at the park is still Dback just because it's perfect. Everything I'm looking for it delivers and it feels like it was worth my wait. The Beast is my solid #2 and as you said Marc it's so unconventional because it was built in house by two park engineers after John Allen of PTC refused to come out of retirement to do the job. I understand that it might not float everyone's boat (no airtime, not a lot of hills, etc) but to me, it's all about that speed, setting, length, and the double helix is the best ending of any rollercoaster I've ridden. Orion and Banshee are definitely both solid as well. Nostalgia is strong with Racer, Adventure Express (which is themed for Indiana Jones Temple of Doom), The Bat, Flight of Fear, and Stunt Coaster. I'm glad that Mystic Timbers is a fav amongst other guests (it doesn't even crack my top 100 but the more I travel the more I realize I am not a GCI fan because of how much they throw you around). I've got a new appreciation for Invertigo now that it's so rare. I always thought it was a head banger but this season it's been running really smoothly so whatever they did to it was awesome! Anyway, so glad you finally made it and for anyone reading my extremely lengthy comment, yes I'm a person who consistently asked "when are you going to Kings Island?" in Marc's comment sections.
You mirrored some of my thoughts. KI is my home park (20mins or less away depending on traffic) and my kid and I have absolutely ate the park up over the years. But sadly, I haven't been able to afford to go to other parks. I'm always watching videos and wishing I could ride some of these amazing looking coasters around the world. So when outsider enthusiasts make videos raving about Kings Island, I think wow, apparently we have something incredibly special here! I don't have much to compare it to 😛
@@spacevspitch4028 Strickers Grove is a good start if you have never been there. It is located in Ross, OH about 30 west of Cincinnati. Two wooden coasters and some good flats. I enjoy traveling to other parks but I'm starting to feel it hits harder financially because everything just costs more nowadays. I have a group of friends that sometimes travel with me so we can split gas and hotel costs if needed. So maybe you can get a group of rollercoaster groupies and if you don't have any, all you have to do is run into me at KI and be a cool person and you'll have made your first rollercoaster enthusiast friend! Best of luck to you!
@@spacevspitch4028strickers Grove in Ross OH is always a good start for anyone local to Cincinnati to venture out to a new park. It's only open a few times a year but has two wooden coasters one of which is an ACE Coaster Classic. I definitely hear you about amusement park trips costing money. I love to travel to other parks but this year especially it seems they have hit my wallet a lot harder. Things just cost more. I have a group of friends who usually travel with me and we split gas cost and hotels cost if needed. So I suggest that if you want to travel, get some coaster Enthusiast friends and save up some money for a day trip or weekend trip. If you don't know anyone who is into amusement parks, just run into me at KI and if you're a cool person you will have made your first coaster Enthusiast friend. Keep on riding and pursue your dreams!
I'm glad you guys got the Beast night ride. I'm lucky enough to ride it at night back in the day with the old buzz bars, and a lot less trim brakes. It is by far, the most memorable ride experiences I ever had. Now, I need to get those Orion, Banshee, and Mystic night rides. And it's overlooked, a Bat night ride.

Gravity Group recently did a retrack of The Beast. That's why it's so smooth. Last year, it was unbearably rough.

I visited Kings Island for the first time back in June. It’s a wonderful park with an awesome ride collection and a great atmosphere.
The thing about Mystic that I like is that during the first few elements it seems like it’s gonna a great but not extraordinary ride, but after the 3rd hill it kicks it up to 1000, and it’s non stop action until the end of the ride. I love it.
Totally agree with Orion it’s so underrated and it’s my fav in the park also in my top 5 fav coasters to rn
Kings Island is my home park and let me just say, I couldn’t possibly be more grateful. And considering we’re about to get a whole new themed area makes it even better. The only things I would touch up on if I could would be the dispatch time for mystic Timbers, adventure express, and diamondback because they all have slow dispatch time every time I visit lol. Despite that Kings Island is still one of THE BEST parks out there.
P.S: Y’all are speaking straight cap saying the bat and mystic Timbers don’t feel short lol. They feel like they’re like 20 seconds after the lift hill. 😂😂😂

The operations at this park are top notch. The employees really care. They are the best thing about this park. I've just never seen bad operations at this park.
My opinion of the coaster line-up is not as high as most. I really have come around with Mystic Timbers as that is clearly the best in the park but I still prefer GoldStriker to it. Orion and Diamondback are both solid coasters in my Top 50, but nowhere near the level of a Fury or Mako. Diamondback's issue is it has a rattle as the layout is quite good. Banshee jack hammers quite a bit. Again, the layout is quite good but the ride experience is really hurt by the jack hammering. Beast is overrated in my mind. Of the other coasters I think Bat is underrated. Great setting. As far as the other supporting coasters, they are pretty much ok at best. Racer is a bit rougher than say Racer 75 at Kings Dominion which I prefer. Backlot is ok. I'm not really a fan of Invertigo or Flight of Fear. I enjoyed Firehawk when it was at the park, but Orion is clearly a trade up. It isn't a deep line-up for me. I enjoy the top 3. If you want good wood coasters- HOLIDAY WORLD, but I'm sure you figured that out later in the trip.
My home park! Mystic is an amazing gci, its pacing is nuts. Orion, Diamondback, and Banshee are three great B&Ms. I love you content, keep up the good work!

I visited KI for the first time last summer since the 1970s, and I was super impressed. Hopefully we will get to go at night next year!

So glad you had a great time at my home park. I have been truly blown away by kings island the last few years by everything from rides, to food and staff. They really care about every detail in the park. Also, I totally agree that people are way too harsh on Orion. It’s a great ride and I’m sick of people comparing it to fury as an excuse to hate on it.
Kings Island is my home park. Grew up riding the Beast . That was the only roller-coaster that Kings Island built themselves. Pretty cool it has lasted the test of time.

I live 30 minutes away so my fiance and I go 1-2 times a week. I have to say tho, if you can ever make it back, every ride gives great night rides! However, you also need to experience The bat, Banshee, and Diamondback at night! The bat has you flying close to the trees at high speed as you swing the banks so it’s a much elevated experience when you can’t see! The banshee has cool lighting around it and is also just elevated by low visibility in the night. Lastly, Diamondback is my personal favorite night ride and the beast would be second. It also goes out into the woods, with the 10 big air time hills and three turns 2 being in the woods where it’s dark, it’s crazy. You can’t see when you’re creating the top so you just drop unexpectedly, then because you can’t see the bottom you just fall back into the seat and then back up. It’s so fun.

18:47 3 Weeks ago, I rode Diabolik Invertigo at Movieland. It was re-located from California's Great America (I believe) and it was diabolicaly intense. I blacked out twice (in both directions) on all of my 3 rides, it's still so smooth (still a little janky but ok) and just so much fun. What a great coaster model, if only the SLCs were this smooth 😐
Your description of that ride sounds exactly correct! has a shake but is generally very smooth and has some very intense elements!
Cant wait to see your review of Voyage. That is my #1 bucket list.

I was there the weekend before you for the first time, and I totally agree about the hate that Orion gets. It's completely ridiculous, it's a great ride. It's behind Diamondback and Mystic Timbers in my ranking for the park, but that's just because those rides are also insane and world-class elite coasters. Kings Island is a 10/10 for sure. Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Orion, The Beast, and Banshee are the best 5 coasters in any single park that I've ever been to.

I love KI, been going here since I was little in 1989, I'll never forget walking under the entrance into International Street, it was amazing, I hope they never change that part so other young people can continue experiencing it like I did. I plan on going to Winterfest for their NYE party, my first time going there for that, can't wait! So glad you have a great time! Cheers.

I can’t stop laughing about the first time reaction to The Beast, epic and hilarious. Glad you all enjoyed the coasters there. This park in particular has been a major foundation and part of my life as a coaster enthusiast.

Such a nice park. Had a good time here last week. Orion was great. The first drop is equally as good as Fury's first drop. I enjoyed the entire layout. Although I do prefer Fury 325, Orion is not too far behind it in being a great coaster. Diamondback was incredible. My second favorite hyper, after Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. Mystic Timbers was great -- my new favorite wooden coaster. And Banshee was the perfect coaster for me. It is now my favorite invert, unseating Afterburn as my #1 invert.
The reason Beast is so smooth is because Gravity Group retracked/reprofiled a few areas that has become rough.
I live about 2 1/2 hours away from KI and I often enjoy it more than my home park, Cedar Point. The operations here are near perfect. I love how Mystic Timbers, The Beast, and Diamondback are all right there within just a minute walk from each other. Just an amazing collection. My only gripe is that I wish they could have a 3rd coaster operating during Winterfests but that is so minor of a thing that it is barely even worth complaining about. This park should either add a Vekoma Shockwave or one of the new Intamins like Pantheon.

Hyped you guys liked Kings Island! It's my local park (about 20min away) so i'm happy to see people not from Ohio enjoy the park as much as I have throughout my life. Mystic Timbers is definitely a fan favorite. I personally loved Vortex and Outer Limits because they were one of the first roller coasters to actually scare the S!@t out of me lol (besides Son of Beast but for other reasons lol). October is definitely one of the best times to go because of all the Halloween themed stuff.
Now that you have rode the beast, I look forward to seeing you guys riding falcon’s flight in Saudi Arabia.

This being my home park is amazing their lineup is full with b&ms but I didn’t get the hate about Orion until I rode fury and I just wish they could have done more because it feels like it flys by but they probably have one of the deepest parks for their rides
While KI doesn't have any top 3 bucket list coaster I've not yet ridden; I can say it's the biggest bucket list park I've not yet visited. I'd imagine my favourite ride in the park would be Diamondback in the back car (row 17 or 18). KI has not only a great coaster lineup but a deep one as well. I'd think Diamondback wins, followed by Orion, Banshee, Mystic Timers and The Beast, but I'm flexible in my opinion since I've never visited KI and know I could be just as wrong in my opinion I have now before visiting.
My only minor quibble is that I wouldn't call Mystic Timbers or Orion long rides, and I'd be willing to guess that the only reason your brother thinks Orion is long is because it's the only full layout giga coaster he's ridden, so that height and speed lasting over 50 seconds was an unparalleled experience for him. In that way Orion is similar to Leviathan; but Millennium Force; Steel Dragon 2000 and Fury 325 feature significantly longer ride durations for any coaster with drops of or over 300' and speeds of or over 90 MPH (not that I'm actually expecting Steel Dragon 2000 to beat Orion in your opinion)

I'm so glad you enjoyed Banshee and Orion! Those two B&Ms, are amazing! I think if Banshee had the original OTS restraints rather than vests, it would be the best invert in the world!
If you sit back row on Diamondback and lean over at the splashdown you can get absolutely drenched. Be careful cuz that shit is powerful even if you close your eyes so I suggest facing away.

This is my home park. I just was there for the first time since 2017, and I did just post a vlog. I did get a season pass now to Cedar Fair. Orion was fantastic... I think it's my favorite ride because I like the rush. Diamondback is just such an amazing ride though as is the Beast. Mystic is a great ride... just to me its way short comparatively. TBH, the thought of going more to this park next year... I keep thinking about more rides on Orion lol. I have been on M.Force and Fury 325 as well. Honestly... I think Orion is better than M. Force. Fury 325 takes the cake, but for Orion being within 2 hours of me.... I am just super happy. Next year.... we add to the total.
You guys would be great riding buddies. I'm always yelling and having a good time on coasters.
You're right though.. We are so spoiled here in Cincinnati having KI.. With the park being right there for us and being so good.. when we go anywhere else we have extremely high expectations. The biggest downfall of KI currently is we're missing a really good RMC and maybe an Intamin like Maverick at CP. Even being as rough as it was, the removal of Vortex was a punch in the gut. It was gorgeous to look at.

In the summer, adventure express has some of the longest wait times in the park, like you have to wait outside the queue lol, it definitely should not be slept on

Wow your first time to King's Island? That's awesome! Fun Fact, Looks like we swapped locations, as I was just out in southern California and hit Magic Mountain. (We have talked before, I lived in San Diego for years). Anyways, Kings Island is a Top tier park definitely the best park you'll be going to on your trip! Hope you enjoyed the Coasters....

First coaster vlog I've actually watched through. Maybe because KI is my home park, maybe because you two actually add to the video! Your commentary is great.
That being said, did you miss flight of fear?? Easily the best themed ride in the park and a unique experience. Lights off, indoors, electromagnetic launch into a bowl of spaghetti where you can't see the track. It's the big white building you see from a few other coasters.

Super happy you got the daytime and nighttime haunt experience what with the beast and mystic timbers- I make a point to ride the Beast twice each time because it's cool both ways.

I wouldn’t be a season pass holder without Orion it is a god send. People who say it’s only the 4th best ride at king island are on crack. I bet that hours plus line has danm day is full of those people.
Son of beast station still sit between bat and Banshee they are doing winterfest starting November 26th which Mystic Timbers will be open for and my favorite is still Diamondback the beast got retrack by gravity group guys
Vortex was also a spectacular night ride, I’m sure they’ll put an amazing coaster where it used to be. I think Kings Island is better than Cedar Point simply because of the staff.
