I had an illness 7 years ago, and prior to that I was an avid quilter. I have been watching your tutorials for a few months, to relearn the things I forgot. This will be my first quilt in a long time as a new quilter, starting over again, if that makes sense? Thank you!❤
Oh my gosh! Such a great pattern for layer cakes. I see it as a perfect pattern to quickly use up stash fabrics too! But can I resist the fabric you used? Probably not! What's with the griping this morning? It's a FREE tutorial!! Gift horse, you know. It was perfect and I loved it! The production was professional and the little glitches didn't prevent anyone watching it from learning. You go Jenny girl!! Thank you for the free tutorial!
Not gripping - just commenting on the reflections. For me, I take screenshots on my iPad as a good reference and reflections were slightly in the way! MSQC is my most favorite place to shop and the addition of these wonderful ladies and their videos just makes me so happy!!!!!
@@sandybruce9092 I also love MSQC, and have learned a lot from watching their tutorials. This quilt is beautiful, and I would never have thought to put these particular colors together. So another thing I’ve learned. But the reflections made it harder to watch. Not a complaint, but an observation for the video staff. New set design, a few glitches that need to be changed. Hoping this observation will help.
Jenny did say they were in a differently arranged studio. Personally, I read the statements of the glare on the ruler as providing information regarding our review of the studio that has changes of which they may not be aware!
Lovely lady Jenny, thank you for a relatively large block pattern. As soon as I get the total use of my hands back, doing large block will be a god send. Congratulations on the 15 Years.
Thank you Jenny and thank you Sherri for another beautiful and easy quilt tutorial. I love the colors of this one, as greens are my favorite colors. I do hope everyone has a blessed day and a safe Memorial Day weekend. Also thank you to all the veterans who serve(d)this country and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. ❤ 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Fabulous. Great pattern. The fabric- I love everything by Edyta Sitar. Thank you, Jenny, for once again giving us a wonderful quilt that is quick and easy. ❤🥰🧵🪡
When I glanced again at the finished quilt behind you, with the light triangles facing different directions it reminds me of semaphore flag signals. This quilt would look terrific in red, yellow & blue fabrics to mimic those flags, which would make a great gift for any sailing/boating enthusiast. Thanks for the inspiration Sherri for your design & Jenny for your tutorial!
Oh, what an easy way to use up a layer cake! I have a blue one with flower prints that I think would look great with this pattern! Thank you so much for sharing! Happy quilting! 🧵
Love this block. I always look forward to your tutorials. I especially love the triple play videos. I can never decide which of the 3 I like the best. 😁
I have started this with‘Primrose,’ by Edyta Sitar. It’s amazingly beautiful and I’m just 20% in. Such a pretty fabric line, from an incredible designer. And a gorgeous pattern. Happy sewing 🧵!
Great tutorial, as always! And a super pattern to file away for a layer cake you can’t resist buying because it’s so pretty. The pieces are big enough you can enjoy the fabric!
Hi, I saw a ' happy birthday ' clip for you just now !! Happy birthday to you!! You have given some very good tips for quilting and inspiration for beginners !!
Thanks for sharing, I love this pattern it will work great to make it quilt as I go which I have to do because my sewing space is so limited. I make queen and king size mostly I can't wait to make this one in a queen size.
Great quilt, Sweet and Talented Teacher, Beautiful New Set! ❤ Now it is even easier to see exactly what you are doing and the fabrics show so much better. The new set up and lighting is outstanding. I give the Teacher and Video an A++ 😊. I am crazy about this quilt, so am ordering immediately and excited for it to get here ASAP… Thank you Jenny and MSQC. Love you so much.
Thank you, Jenny for an excellent tutorial. I learned much about quilting watching your videos and am a long time subscriber and customer. Like other viewers I struggled with the lower volume and the overhead glare on the rulers in this video. Also, the angled display distorts the image. For instance, to my eye the differing sashing widths are not very noticable until the camera does the face on pan of the quilt. I think a longer front and center view would be more helpful, so viewers could pause the video and study the actual quilt front. With a more complex block this would be essential.
With the new set for tutorial, my computer did not get the sound as loud as the previous tutorial. I always have to have the sound up as high as possible, so was not able to turn it up anymore. Hope you can correct that for future tutorials. I really love watching all your tutorials. Many times I watch them several times over.
This is beautiful! I am actually working on an hourglass quilt now. A simple pattern is so fun sometimes. Love the new set! I did notice that the overhead light shines right in the rulers/templates to make it hard to see where she is lining up.
I agree we are seeing the overhead lights which makes it hard to see the actual shape of the ruler on the piece being trimmed. Plus the sound is TOO LOW and I'm not hard of hearing. Just a few niggles to iron out on a new set .
I don't know what you are doing different but the volume is way to low. We can't adjust it anymore on your tutorials. I love this pattern. I will try it out soon.
I love this pattern! I think it's perfect for these fabrics I've been collecting. Jenny you should know there is a big glare on all of the rulers, from a light or window over you? It's hard to see what your doing with the ruler. Just a little FYI !
Very pretty quilt. The volume was very low on this video - don't know whether it's the redesigned set - no other videos are doing this, so I don't think it's my computer.
The Sea Glass quilt does look somewhat easier to sew than other ones shown on this channel. Thanks to a quilting life's Sherri for creating this pattern that Jenny showed in this tutorial. Now to put this into use...😮🇨🇦😮
Another great video BUT the glare from the overhead light on the ruler is very disconcerting. Looking at the quilt behind you on an angle is not good. When you were showing borders the camera did not pick it up until you showed the back. Wishing you would go back to the original view.
I’ve always used my square up rulers (and I do have quite a few😄) but I’ve recently purchased both sizes of the Clearly Perfect Rulers - just haven’t used them - yet - but I’ll be using them siin to finish a small quilt for my almost 4-year old granddaughter.
Interesting new angle. GLARE from overhead light on the rulers was very distracting and made it difficult to see what Jenny was doing when lining up her rulers. ❤❤❤
I just received a couple of Halloween 🎃 print layer cakes that I snagged on sale. I think this might be the perfect pattern to showcase one of them (planning on making a “Pins and Paws” kittycat 🐈⬛ quilt with the other one for my cat-loving SIL!). Thanks Jenny & MSQC team for this easy-to-follow free tutorial!

Absolutely with you Bonnie! Can’t we all just be appreciative and kind? ❤

Wouldn’t this be really beautiful with Christmas fabrics!!!!!!!
Thank you, Jenny! You have a way of making a quilt seem easy to do! This is a very pretty quilt!
Thank you Sherry for allowing us to use this pattern. It is great.
Best idea for using up layer cake. Thanks MSQ
My mother was a quilter. She passed 9 years ago. Thank you for teaching me what my mother would have taught me.
I love hourglass blocks. This is a great design. Thanks Jenny! You're the best!
I loved doing this quilt… and used a pack of 10” squares I had purchased awhile ago.
May I ask what size will you quilt be? Trying to determine if I need 2 layer cakes for a queen size.
Quilt Size: 65" x 65"
This is the perfect project for a beginner Quilter like myself! Thank you, Jenny, for the very clear and easy instructions!
Fabulous. Great pattern. The fabric- I love everything by Edyta Sitar. Thank you, Jenny, for once again giving us a wonderful quilt that is quick and easy. ❤🥰🧵🪡
Another quick and easy quilt. I love the fabric of Edyta Sitar. Both go together great! Thanks Jenny 😊
Really big and can be made into a quilt faster. Thanks Jenny.
What a great pattern. I’ve never seen it before. I have several layer cakes in my stash that will look beautiful.
Thank you Jenny.
Aww Jenny love this, love msqc you keep us in stitches❤️❤️❤️
i adore jenny and her daughters! i am always learning something new.

Love that block. Would make lovely cushions. Thanks again Jenny. 🇦🇺
😊Thank you Miss Jenny for another great tutorial! 🎉
Beautiful
Thanks Sherri for the fun pattern and allowing Jenny to do a tutorial. What a great bunch of quilters there are out there.😊
What a great name and perfect fabric. Sea glass is magical!
Great tutorial. Great way to elevate an hourglass quilt. Thanks for the great tips and tricks!
A great pattern that would look fabulous done in 30’s prints as well as solids
Love those colors.
Beautiful quilt! You make this look so easy to make ! Thank you!
Thanks Jenny - this is a great pattern to really highlight the fabric. It's beautiful.
Beautiful as always...and so is the quilt 💛💚💛💚💛💚
Love this, love your colors, but I think I will try true sea glass colors, thank you
I was thinking muted blues and greens would be better, too
I love greens!!!
Love this block. I always look forward to your tutorials. I especially love the triple play videos. I can never decide which of the 3 I like the best. 😁
beautiful idea will use white sashing in the red and blue half square triangle blocks hope to finish by 4th of July thanks
Love this went together so quickly. I used a different cake layer and used all 42 blocks! Happy so far with my progress!
I like seeing your quilts straight on rather than on an angle.
Love this quilt! Soon will give it a try.❤❤❤❤
Love this block, and how you did squaring was so easy, thank you
Oh I love this one!
I have started this with‘Primrose,’ by Edyta Sitar. It’s amazingly beautiful and I’m just 20% in. Such a pretty fabric line, from an incredible designer. And a gorgeous pattern. Happy sewing 🧵!
Oh my goodness, Jenny, tell us what you’re doing you look so young!!! I need whatever it is you’re doing!!!
I use the by squaring ruler with the folded triangle for squaring also . Love the Friday quilts!
The Strip Tube ruler works for trimming HST’s the same way too! 👍🏻
I love simple, quick quilts. I wonder how it would look in batiks?
Love the fabric and the pattern. Nice clean straight line look. Thank you Jenny. Have a great Holiday weekend
Great tutorial, as always! And a super pattern to file away for a layer cake you can’t resist buying because it’s so pretty. The pieces are big enough you can enjoy the fabric!
Thanks Jenny, love your tutorials!
I love this pattern, and I make it out of aqua and blue!
Love all your videos, thank you ❤
You always make a hard looking quilt easy. I’m amazed. Thank you
Gorgeous quilt and love the fabric. Hour glass is one of my favorite block design. Thank you
Oh my! So gorgeous! I am so making this! Thank you Jenny for this inspiration!!!
Love the Colors!
Hi, I saw a ' happy birthday ' clip for you just now !! Happy birthday to you!! You have given some very good tips for quilting and inspiration for beginners !!
I love this one. As Jennie says, what if...I have left over HST blocks from another project. Smaller then 8" but I think I will try with this pattern.
Thanks for sharing, I love this pattern it will work great to make it quilt as I go which I have to do because my sewing space is so limited. I make queen and king size mostly I can't wait to make this one in a queen size.
Now this is a quilt I think I can do. Thank you so much Jenny and MSQC.
How pretty!!
Wow so simple and easy to follow, good to use fabrics from your stash.
LOVE this one too!!❤. Thank you Jenny ❤
Hello from New Zealand! Jenny, you have renewed my passion for quilting and I am learning so much from your wonderful tutorials! Thank you so much 💗
Beautiful Thank you Jenny👍👏🥰🌸
Absolutely beautiful !!
Great quilt, Sweet and Talented Teacher, Beautiful New Set! ❤ Now it is even easier to see exactly what you are doing and the fabrics show so much better. The new set up and lighting is outstanding. And this helps my dilemma…finding a quilt pattern……ty, im so making this. I collect sea glass too….so beautiful ❤💜🫶🏽
Brilliant! I have several layer cakes that I need to use. This looks like it will come together quickly. Thank you for another awesome pattern. ❤❤❤
I made a throw pillow from this block but, I didn't use corner stones. I think I'll have to make this quilt. I ❤MSQ and Sherri 😊
Thank you, Jenny for an excellent tutorial. I learned much about quilting watching your videos and am a long time subscriber and customer.

I love this pattern and the fabrics you chose!
Beautiful quilt. It's great to try new things but i actually prefer seeing the quilt head on.
Wonderful and fast to make! Happy to have found you guys and look forward to more from MSQ! ❤
Love the pattern thank you
With the new set for tutorial, my computer did not get the sound as loud as the previous tutorial. I always have to have the sound up as high as possible, so was not able to turn it up anymore. What a beautiful quilt! I love it!
Thank you. Gorgeous quilt. It looks like it would be an easy one to make.
There is a lot of reflection on the rulers when you are squaring things. Makes it hard to see what you are doing.
I agree
I agree we are seeing the overhead lights which makes it hard to see the actual shape of the ruler on the piece being trimmed. Plus the sound is TOO LOW and I'm not hard of hearing. Just a few niggles to iron out on a new set .
I agree.
I don't know what you are doing different but the volume is way to low. We can't adjust it anymore on your tutorials. I love this pattern. I will try it out soon.
, the music is much louder when showing the supplies needed, than your talking voice volume.
I love this!
Beautiful, thanks Jenny!
I love this pattern! I think it's perfect for these fabrics I've been collecting. Jenny you should know there is a big glare on all of the rulers, from a light or window over you? It's hard to see what your doing with the ruler. Just a little FYI !
This is a spectacular quilt
Very pretty quilt. The volume was very low on this video - don't know whether it's the redesigned set - no other videos are doing this, so I don't think it's my computer.
The Sea Glass quilt does look somewhat easier to sew than other ones shown on this channel.

Now to put this into use...😮🇨🇦😮
Great tutorial as always. Love the greens. Thank you.
Beautiful quilt
Beautiful quilt,thank you for sharing
Great new setup!
Another great video BUT the glare from the overhead light on the ruler is very disconcerting. Looking at the quilt behind you on an angle is not good. When you were showing borders the camera did not pick it up until you showed the back. Wishing you would go back to the original view.
My tip-cutting off the “dog ears” is my way to tell a HST or hourglass block is squared. Keeps me straight!

Love it can't wait to try it ❤️
Congratulations 🎉
I just received a couple of Halloween 🎃 print layer cakes that I snagged on sale. I think this might be the perfect pattern to showcase one of them (planning on making a “Pins and Paws” kittycat 🐈⬛ quilt with the other one for my cat-loving SIL!). Thanks Jenny & MSQC team for this easy-to-follow free tutorial!
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Great quilt. Tfs,hugs, Chel 🌸
Love it!!
The sound is very low.
Beautiful❤
