Another fantastic video James...BRAVO !! I love brass ,almost as much as copper. I just procured 10 laboratory water and gas faucets with the long goose neck spouts. Man these things are heavy and all brass ,not to mention how expensive they are new....WOW. I cleaned all the O-rings and plastic from them as I tore them down. Does your scrap yard consider these chrome plated faucets " clean brass" ? I called one local scrap yard in my area ,and the guy seemed a little confused when I explained what I had. We have about 6 local scrap yards in my city ,so I wonder if I should drop in and show them what I have. I also have a bunch of chrome plated balls ( from brass ball valves) and want to get top price if they are considered clean brass. I bet I have over 30 pounds of balls alone. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you and God bless you. Have a wonderful day and don`t change a thing ,your videos are top notch ,very useful and fun to watch. sincerely, Paul from CANADA....Eh. (yes ,we do actually say Eh...lol)
Hey Paul, thank you so much! That’s an awesome score for sure. My yards and most yards will still consider that clean yellow brass, but I have heard a few yards call it dirty brass. So I would keep all the platted brass separated from the other brass and find a yard that will pay you clean brass prices for it all. God bless you too!
@@scrapitall200 Thank you sir ! Hope you feel better soon. Not to worry ,I feel that way too for no good reason also ,but I think how fortunate i am in life and things get better before you know it. I’m hoping to do a video in the near future. Basically bronze is made with 85-88% copper where as yellow brass is made with about 70% copper. So bronze technically should be worth more than yellow brass. Scrapyards will call it red brass, but a lot of scrapyards just buy it all as yellow brass.

I live in a small town and I’ve told lots of people I scrap, so they are happy to give me their junk. Also I’m in local fb groups looking for free stuff. I’ve also made business cards and placed them on kiosks and hand them out.
I am from a small town too and had locals that would call me up or just drop stuff off plus i developed a route that included a well driller, 3 plumbers, 2 a.c. /heating guys, a machine shop, 3 taverns and a campground so that is what kept me supplied plus watching the free section on my local cl. listings. I also watched auctions for scrap stuff too. Every friday i would go to a bigger town 45 minutes away and pickup my wins and cut the stuff up over the weekend and haul it in on monday and hit my route on my way home. Oh, almost forgot i got involved with a lady that owned bunch of real estate/apartment buildings and got involved in cleaning up their properties. i got that contract thru my 1 a.c guy when i cleaned up his backyard and she asked who was cleaning up his yard(she owned it) and he told me about her and to go behind the shed next door and see if i wanted to clean that up too which turned out 4 loads out of the backyard, 1 load out of the inside building and then she took me around to all her other properties and that was another load and then whenever someone moved out they would make a pile for me. then whenever i was in the area i would swing behind that shop and reclean that up which turned out that is where all her renters if they had something to dispose was supposed to put it there for me which worked out great.

I think you need a bigger screwdriver, I am lucky enough to have an 18” square shank one, it is mighty handy.
We can never have too many tools, right? lol
That invisible wrench segment was pretty cool, that must have taken a while to edit.
Bringing out the serious tools with that pipe wrench
Very cool that you found a use for that gift tool kit.
That was some serious scraping my friend
Wow that scrapitall license plate was very cool

Hey bud
Awesome video. Where do you find all your good scrap?
Thank you.
Through fb groups, business cards and telling everyone I know that I collect scrap.
Those receptacles are about $30 each & looks lightly used could resel them for $10 bucks and make more than most of the scrap. Silver in the CBs is nice on the OLDER ones.
@@markmatt9174 I personally would never resell electrical stuff, not worth the risk for me.
Great video as always. I think you need a bigger pipe wrench, that one looks a little too small.
Thank you my friend!
🤣 my dad has one that is about 11 inches longer lol. It’s a beast.

My wife feels that way too ,so I think it`s a common thing amongst all of us. Stay positive, keep busy ,scrap something every day and know you are loved by many. Your buddy in CANADA...Paul T

That steel meter box looks as old as me, I’m 73, and I feel that I am going rusty too.
I think I’m getting a bit rusty too 😂
What's the difference between brass & bronze
I’m hoping to do a video in the near future.
Basically bronze is made with 85-88% copper where as yellow brass is made with about 70% copper. So bronze technically should be worth more than yellow brass. Scrapyards will call it red brass, but a lot of scrapyards just buy it all as yellow brass.
They come apart much better with a drops of oil in the screws holes
Which piece you talking about? I cant remember 🤣
You're a good guy.We all go through periods like this and you're just moving through a a down time, ask source (God)what you should learn from this. it'll lift before you know it.

Spiders are everywhere 😂
If you don't mind me asking, where do all these items come from? you have a dizzying array of things in your yard :)
@@steveherr450 that’s really awesome!
The more we let people know what we do, leads to more and more folks who are so happy to have someone take their stuff.
