    The main processing board with the ICs on it...leave the ICs on it and you should have no problem selling it as high peripheral. If you take the ICs off, it would probably downgrade it to just a mid-grade board and not worth shipping. Good breakdown video. Haven't seen a cash register done before. 👍

    • @scrapitall200
      @scrapitall200  Рік тому +2

      After I made the video I checked Boardsort.com and I was pretty sure it’s a high grade peripheral, thank you for confirming that for me! Thank you for watching, Roger!

      Curious as anyone sent if several boards are several lb of anything's for sword and if so do the shipping cost match what you got back from them

    • @scrapitall200
      @scrapitall200  Рік тому

      @@THEATREGOD3 some stuff isn’t cost effective to ship, but some definitely is. Ram sells for $23 a pound and I can fit just over 3 pounds inside a flat rate box that costs $10.20 to ship. I’ve not shipped enough stuff to them yet to really know what’s worth it and what isn’t. Shark Scrapper on UA-cam has some good videos about shipping stuff to Boardsort.com.

    • @cuscrapping
      @cuscrapping Рік тому +1

      @@THEATREGOD3 A good general rule for shipping cost is $1.00/lb. Shark Scrapper has a couple of good videos on shipping to Boardsort and I also have one in my video list. ua-cam.com/video/cWrxW-FbPks/v-deo.html Flat rate boxes are your best value for shipping if your boards will fit. The lowest grade I would consider shipping is high peripheral, as long as there is enough weight in the box to cover shipping. I wouldn't ship anything under $2.00/lb unless you're using it as "filler". When I have unused space in my box, I will fill that unused space with gold connector ends at $.70/lb just to use that space up. A large flat rate shipping box is like $22 and change right now, so as long as you have more than $23 in your box, you are money ahead. The higher the grade and the more weight you can fit into a box, the better. I make about $20 profit on a full 11 lb. box of CD ROM boards, and as you can see in my video, I made about $420 profit on that one, Hope this helps!!

    Dear,
    The printed circuit boards, even totally depopulated, still have a thin layer of copper. I am not sure it's worth something, but in big factories, they should be able to extract this layer and also recover the tin from the solder. When I was a teenager, I used to print my own PCBs with masking tape and dissolving the copper layer with the appropriate chemical (ferrous trichloride). So I assume the big factories should be able to extract copper from the PCB, but don't know if it is worth the price.
