I feel the academy’s are taking kids on way too young and causing mental heath issues by having the worry of being released at such a young age. I think Ajax has it right and doesn’t start taking kids on until U12. As a parent you have to go with your gut feeling. Grassroots is still a great pathway!
ajax do training from 6 they just dont release the players, they work and subsidise small grassroot local teams as well so by the time the child is 11 they have a large pool of trained kids to choose from
I worked at the club during this time. Put it this way; she is 100% spot on. It was the environment / culture there. Some have since left and are now at other clubs. I stand with Bruno + Jess❤
At no age any coach should be using foul and abusive language. There are safeguarding, welfare and child protection polices in place. It is a form of verbal abuse.
No excuse for a coach to sware at any child or a young person.

i would say in england blackburns academy is the best for the youngest ages, they keep them all for 3 years
