I love that shot of the paperweight. Object in the box will bounce back-oscillate-between two points in time, much like the paperweight wobbles back and forth.. Good symbolism there.
Does anyone else get the point of this? This is Aaron phoning Aaron from the future telling him what is going to happen in his future. He made the huge time machine, as seen at the end of the film, and travelled back before the entire film began and 'primes' himself on what is going to happen...
I think some of that is deliberate. It makes sense when you consider that some of the characters are listening to previous conversations on their earpieces ;)
@@DW-rs1pr We know exactly when it is. It's at Christmas time. And we know roughly when Abe discovers the function of the box. When Abe goes to tell Aaron to ditch work so he can show him what the box does Aaron says he's listening to March Madness, which takes place in March. This is the first time Prime Aaron learns about the true function of the box and by the end of it they both watch Abe's double enter the box for the first time. The opening dinner scene is before the box is built. The scenes are chronological. It's just that we get to follow Abe's story instead of Aaron's. From Abe's perspective it's chronological.
Shane Carruth and David Sullivan? Never seen actors like this. This shows us how much lie and garbage we are fed by Hollywood. These two "sell" the most fantastic story and we cannot even make a criticism. This movie reflects Carruth and his engineer mind.....it may not have the gimmicks and production value of 2001: a Space Odyssey but it has the brutally realistic tone. Just wow.
I love how they all talk over each other like real people. Great acting.
I didn’t watch this movie in 2004, but somehow this movie makes me nostalgic for that era.

Really great that you pointed that our! Very interesting!

But could he have done it though? Wouldnt he be able to only go back to the creation of the huge machine?
@@alexsander471correct... Many people don't even seem to understand one of the most basic elements of this time machine's function.
You can not travel further back than when a machine has been turned on though.
Really like this! The audio replacement isn't synced up the best, though, but it's got a really low budget, so it's understandable.

@@mrkeogh pretty good point.
Like 80% of all the dialogue in this movie is dubbed over lol
When the movie budget is less than your one month salary
@@drawforge3920I dream of that salary
That phone ring @ 2:05 ... it’s already happened
I dont understand
I dont think so, the coffin hadn't been built yet
