CX-2 is CX-2 and that is okay.
That seems unlikely, since the screenwriters clearly tried to keep him alive, as opposed to the first shadow.
@@aeku_69420 they kept him alive so he can snitch on Commander Wolffe for the failed mission. That’s more than enough purpose to give a minor character.
Yes
I been saying this. It could be a marrok situation like in Ahsoka, everyone had all these theories and "proof" that it was all these other people when he was just this masked character that wasn't too important.
I don’t think it would be a marrok situation it could be but compared to him he’s had more screen time and a lot more lines I dunno I guess we will find out soon
I don't want tech to be alive. Because that destroys the purpose of his sacrifice
Yes!
Exactly [I say that knowing he was my favorite Character].
Well. The way he died was like, "When have we ever followed orders?" he won't turn. He sacrificed his life and would rather die than join the empire.
Yeah will if he does come back, his sacrifice before would still have meaning because it was meant to help the team escape, and they did.
@@TheMastaChief That was already established.
It would still take away from his"death" and deprive the said "sacrifice" of actual sacrifice.
Rampart said cody went awol and was very unconcerned about it almost like he knew where he was plus rampart had access to the opratives like hemlock does
My money is on that tech is dead and CX-2 is cody
Also it makes perfect sense for it to be cody to be the oprative cause he's not with Rex Wolffe and Gregor in rebels so Rex having to kill Cody is gonna be the big ending and close up that plot hole
not the right cuts on eyelid afaik
@@bigcazza5260 scars vs tech literally not even looking like a clone
Rampart was unconcerned about everything. The story went out of its way to show us that Rampart gave zero thought or care for the clones. “So what if another clone goes AWOL? We’re getting rid of them anyway.”

Tech is dead accept it.
Nahh, tech is not dead.
The rule is clear, if you don't see the body that's mean they're not dead lol.
Keep crying.
Well, films follow their own rules. Of course these are not fixed. More like rules that you just stick to, just like magicians don't reveal their tricks.
No corpse = Doesn't have to be dead.
It's like, if you show a pistol (weapon) in a film/series, it has to be used at some point in this film or series.
This has nothing to do with acceptance, it would simply have been a good chance to catch up with Tech.
Echo also exploded and in the end he is now in the Bad Batch.

Sorry if Liam came back it would finally kill Star Wars for me. People dying although sucks when you love the characters makes it feel such much more valuable

@@martychisnallLiam neeson maybe, He played Qui Gon Jin in Phantom Menace
@@martychisnallLiam Neeson. The guy who played Quigon
Yeah. Qui gon has a complete story. I think dying at the hands of Maul in front of Obi wan was the best ending he could've gotten. Why bring him back?
@@martychisnallthe actor for Qui-Gon I assume
Bringing anybody back from the dead is a huge mistake and ruins the entire franchise. It shouldn't even be possible, force or no force.
Yeah and feel like more characters need to stay dead in Star Wars
What about Maul? They turned a rather one dimensional villain, who's only trait was looking cool and dying, into one the best characters in Star Wars because they brought him back from the dead.
So bringing back maul was a big mistake? and i mean it is possible this is star wars we are talking about there doesnt need to be a reason for someone to just randomly come back to life we are talking about space wizards who can use the force to do incredible things
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 Exactly
😂 see this is where your so wrong and why emotions should be voided in talks like this your completely disregarding Mauls return...that one story line made the Ashoka series possible shock factor is something that's welcomed in any story telling and bringing a character back is definitely that😊
Hopefully its not tech like sure its sad he died but he fell down from a vervy high distance and got crushed by the wagon that was faling down with him
If he somehow surived that would basicly make it possible for every charchter to surive anything thrown at them
Considering how Star Wars allows everyone to survive a stab wound. From a lightsaber, it wouldn't be out of place at this point.
I like that in Bad Batch at least, death seems to be permanent.
@@Rhino-Primetrue
I side with this, but I do have to point out that Tech’s goggles are in surprisingly good condition for having dropped from so high and being crushed by something so large.
The show made it very clear that defective clones can't be conditioned into what X2 is, Crosshair said as much, so it wouldn't make sense for Tech to be the random exception. It's way more likely that X2 is Cody, which personally I'd like to see that twist. Or, it might turn out to be another Marrok and he dies in the next episode.
Tech is dead. It was confirmed by EPs Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett. I was at the pre release of the Bad Batch at Lucasfilm. They both said Tech was dead. When people asked about Asajj they absolutely refused to talk about anything other than her haircut. If there was more to Tech they would have avoided saying he was dead.
yea but remember when the tobey and andrew leaks from spiderman no way home were leaked and they were consistently saying that they weren't in the movie but when it came out they were in it so it could be possible its tech and they are just saying no to throw us off

I like the theory on how the CX trooper is a clone of Crosshair. At the end of season two, I thought I saw clones of Crosshair. And Crosshair’s reaction to the accident trooper was puzzling, so maybe that could explain things. The Empire couldn’t make him a CX trooper, so perhaps they made his clones one.
Crosshair is too tall for the assassin
@@Noodles-The-Hunter-Vanguard oh yeah maybe true
But if Crosshair failed because he is defective, then shouldn’t Tech?
THANK YOU, IS ANY youtuber even mentioned that scene AT ALL?!!!
No because he had the power to resist but tech if alive would have been on the verge off death and would have been easily turned
I still am holding out hope that it’s Dogma or Slick.
Yooo I forgot about slick...
I have three options that I like. I’ve seen some iT’s TeCh/A cLoNe oF tEcH or iT’s A cLoNe Of CrOsShAiR. Which doesn’t make sense, even with growth acceleration it takes a decade to get them battle ready.
First one is nobody, he’s just had excellent training.
It could be either Slick of Dogma. Had I been Palpatine during the Clone Wars, I would have seen an opportunity in sticklers for rules and traitors that are sent away from the GAR.
Third: it’s Cody after he went AWOL and the Empire found him. Punishment would fit the crime, that’s what I’d think if I were the empire and had a soldier as good as Cody. And it would be emotionally scarring for both us the audience and his closest clone brothers like Rex.
Also, it might be me racking (wrecking?) my brain for no reason, but I definitely heard a very faint Kamino theme music when Crosshair was being drowned.

well Boba in legends survived so it is what it is , but yea Tech surviving ruins the sacrifice
"Resurrecting" dead characters is an extremely dumb trope that popular culture needs to abandon.
Bringing too many characters back between the original and the Disney trilogy also poses the question where are they during the First Order's rise to power. Where is Ahsoka? Where is Ezra? Where is Sabine? Where is Hera? Where are all the Mandalorians? Where are Rex and Wolff?
Let tech rest in peace. I would be so mad if he is still alive. It would take away from his sacrifice. From his character.
He's definitely alive
This seems more like nitpicking than anything. As far as I'm concerned: those characters' stories ended once we never see them again. That's it, that's all. Me personally: I never really cared for Barris Offee, had a feeling they wouldn't go with Asajj's death in Dark Disciple and the only clones I cared about were Rex, Fives and the Bad Batch
100% agree
Not everyone in Star Wars needs to be someone. Honestly, it gets a little annoying how often characters of minor significance are back written into pivotal roles.
I think if Disney took a “there is no canon” approach and allowed creators to do whatever they wanted with the lore and have it be like a buffet approach to the franchise (consider things canon as you wish) I think that would make things better, we could see maybe “what if order 66 failed” in an official piece of media. Wouldn’t the clone wars be so much more impactful if it wasn’t a foregone conclusion the whole time? Like the modern warfare reboots but actually good
Somehow, General Grievous returns as the shadow clone
Why can't a character just stay dead and not come back
Exactly I don't like the fans who do these
Because star wars fans have a hard on for resurrections. 😂
Because Money.
Nothing that a splash of bacta or Rey force heal can't fix
Once in a while, it being a green fart is awesome.

_Ahsoka's treatment. _*_In her own show._*

2:39 Man, i really wish Qui Gon came back as like a FORCE GHOST OR SOMETHING? idk, would be hard to imagine them pulling that one off...
When the fans can write better plot points and twists, than people who have made it their jobs to do so, you know you fucked up as a storyteller.
They highly insinuated that techs body was recovered so definitely don’t see him coming back.
I have a strong feeling that the shadow assassin is tech....
Im calling it now, the shadow is going to be Fives.
I think it would be pretty funny. Mentioned it to a buddy as a joke and it wouldn't surprise me.
And the other shadow is fives and fox becoming best buddies
Unless those chips are really powerful to make a clone who removed his chip and knew about Palpatine yeah no
The dead need to stay dead in Star Wars. It really bugs me that they want to keep resurrecting those who have perished, or Jedi’s who magically survived Order 66.
All somebody’s were nobody’s at one point. Part of the problem with Star Wars is how small the scale is despite being a massive galaxy. Not every character has to be somebody we’ve already seen. By that logic we never would’ve gotten Qui Gon in the first place because if every role had to be filled with someone we already knew it would’ve been Yoda who was teaching obi wan in TPM. New characters are good, and even if they don’t develop into some huge character, they can still be good for what they are and don’t have to be someone else
I love the idea that the assasin clone is a nobody. Keeps some mystery around what else unknown is out there. Not everyone has to be someone.
It is more likely to be cody than tech. To quote crosshair," It didn't take. I'm defective."
it's not cody he went AWOL
People survive impossible falls in star wars all the time. Like heck, Maul survived one while also being chopped in two. And we already know for sure Hemlock found Tech since he had Tech's goggles, and he has been working on what is literally called project necromancer, could it be any more on the nose than that? The biggest question really is why would he go through all the work to reconstruct Tech after the no doubt serious injuries he sustained from the fall and brainwash him when he already had loads of regular clones at his disposal to do this much more easily with.
I hate him but he looks so cool and badass, I kinda hope he’s a new character too
In my opinion I believe slick was most likely killed by the emperor or terminated by the emperors doctors since we see that in season 6 there were going to terminate Tuk and possibly fives before he escaped.
Barris most likely was killed either by the clones or by darth Vader since in Obi won we see that the people he killed or were killed in order 66 were put in tombs.
If Qui-Gon came back I would have a heart attack and die on the spot
Doubt
I think this clone operative is a clones of crosshairs: let’s analyse this:
0 crosshair shakes with his arm, specifically one hand and the fingers, it also stays covered, perhaps he has scaring
0 it is also no coincidence that blood is collected on tantis through your hands.
0 put one and one together and it makes sense.
So, the clone operative is a clone, of a clone?
I thought so too but cloning a clone is not possible. On top of that, a clone takes about 9 years to become an adult so that does not make any sense either in this short period of time.
@@christopher2725 Exactly. You’re just wasting more time just to clone Jango Fett, and clone this Jango Fett and Clone that Jango Fett.
@@christopher2725good point
Not quite.
1. His hands shake cause his mutation is extreme steady hands and perfect accuracy, his body is reject the m count transfusion. And when he was on tantis his hands were not covered. Also all the batches and clones outside omega have their gloves on all the time.
2. The device they use works best on your hands cause that’s where the most veins are and is easier it find them to. The hand shake is not relevant here cause that is due to his body rejecting the m count.
3. There is no correlation except for what you want to see like with people saying Tech is alive cause we see no baby and his goggles survived
Its Tech! He said to Crosshair "you could have been on of us!" and means his CF99 and "you choose the wrong side!" and means the empire!
NO its not tech because he was a DEFECTIVE CLONE! the program wouldnt work on him!

With Ventriss coming back, I don't have an issue with that personally because it's part of the extended universe, so to me it's not cannon. Yes Filoni may borrow some stuff from the eu, but to me Ventriss being alive is ok and she is an amazing character.
The book where she died was cannon, but agree she is important enough to have her fate shown on screen
@@mitchelkvedar674It may well be cannon well to me it isn't, I've never read any EU novels
The speculation around CX-2 is just like the speculation around Marrok. And don’t be surprise folks if they both turn out the same nobody important.
You’re gonna get people like this video, complaining about dead characters coming back, and you’ll get those like the hundreds of content creators who all unanimously complained about Marok being nothing but smoke. Star Wars can’t win anymore because they’re damned if they do, and damned harder if they don’t. These videos and no-win situations are exactly why we can’t have nice things anymore.
Jokes on you all, I’m betting it’s that one clone from the Outpost
4:37 this isn't the same Haircut, this is the regular Clone Hair
I don't want dead characters to be revived. Most characters died in a spot that makes sense for their character and arc. I also think that star wars fans have a tendency to over theorize and make baseless assumptions based on little information. I would like for characters who disappeared to come back though.
The thing is, it’s easier to bring back characters who die in novels/comic books rather than the ones who we actually see die on screen, mostly because majority of the audience doesn’t read them hence they don’t know or care about that. Though Tech is dead, they confirmed it so CX-3 is either Cody or simply just CX-3.
bruh if they pull a winter soldier on Tech im gonna be shocked
Just so you guys know it wasnt mentioned at all but the second episode on s3 when hunter is on the computer on the ship there is a pair of tech's broken goggles the same one he has used everytime how did they get the goggles? They had to go back to find it. And about qui gon coming back alive some forget even star wars comics here that qui gon was the one who knew more about keeping your identity after death but didn't finished his training, look at season 6 with yoda qui gon helped him and yoda mentioned it to obi wan and thats why qui gon shows up in the kenobi series at the end so he can learn how to keep his identity after death.
in the season 2 finale hemlock gives tech's goggles to hunter saying that that was all they could find of tech

Cody has extremely distinctive scars, why is there even a debate, it’s not him.
Tech was my favorite character in the bad batch…But he’s gone.
Why can’t people just except the fact that tech is dead?
However I do think that it’s Cody and with reasoning.
Although I’ve felt like this season of BB has been incredibly slow it’s pretty amazing to see the difference in the animation here vs how it was in older CW episodes.
Geez so your just assuming that we can’t have Qui Gon Jin back in a major major way without him being a force ghost?
Head cannon for the first clone assassin is slick, it’s a clone that knew and hated Rex slick fits that mold perfectly its better than just being a nobody.
This newest assassin is being heavily focused on they want us to keep this guy in mind which if the helmet is taken off it’s gonna be a clone we recognize, and both tech/code have noticeable features like techs hair and face shape or Cody’s scar.
Hopefully they explain both characters in the show and not leave them open like if tech is dead give solid proof in the show if Cody got captured/experimented or is leading his own clone rebels show it give that concrete stance of this happened
they couldve done the tech death scene and had shown his body itself!
the brainwashing techniques on Tantis are so advanced they managed to change Tech's hairline, change his facial structure and give him a tan.
2:55 No! That's exactly what bringing Palpatine back did!
It’s Tech. My final answer.
That one post someone made wishing there could have been more seasons with the whole team, adding a picture of the complete batch… and then the response it got from Joel, stating we would be very, very fullfled come a mid season 3 episode… which is where we’re at now…
Why would a post about the complete batch get a response like that if Tech were confirmed dead? Why would they even bother with it?
The screeners said Tech wasn’t mention in episodes 1-8 okay… well screeners are supposed to adhere to a level of secrecy correct? So if something major were to happen in ep. 8, the next one, they would have had to outright deny it because the devs don’t want leaks.
DEFECTIVES CAN’T EVEN TURN INTO ASSASSINS
I’m sorry but that what we’ve been told is truth. And I don’t necessarily trust what I’m told. I’ll get my answer when the helmet comes off, but until then… the signs are pointing to it being Tech.
I feel Crosshair is keeping something secret that would determine if that is entirely true or not.
Quon cannot return, because he is a force ghost. So he must be dead
Sorry for the long comments...
Instead of resurrecting Qui-Gon, it would be better to make his own serie of his life up to him becoming a ghost force, showing his perspective when he was in the village with Dooku [TOTJ - Justice], maybe parts of the book Master & Apprentice, even showing him attempting to communicate with Obi-Wan in OWK show, talking with Yoda as a ghost force in CW and in Dagobah, etc. 😉😁 This could bring a lot of characters back without resurrecting any of them.
As for Mace, instead of just making him just appearing out of the blue, make him part of a serie where maybe he lost his memory after his fall [lol] and he only had fragments of his memory, and that's why he never looked for anyone sooner. He would eventually bump into a jedi or former jedi who recognizes him and eventually helps him to recover his memory by recounting the stories as well as using the force. Then, after that, they go looking for the rest or do whatever they have to do. This also could bring a lot of old characters without resurrecting as well introduce new characters.
The Shadow Agent, initially I also thought it could be Tech because of the gadgets, but later, the height kind of made me rethink because he is supposed to be taller [6'4] than the "regs" [6'], and he looked about the same height as Wolffe. If Tech had some sort of limb replacement due to his fall [ie. legs, or half of the body like Maul], that could change his height, but in SW usually they make it taller and not shorter, but he definitely he didn't have any mechanical limb because when Crosshair used the thermal vision, it showed the Shadow Agent's body heat and is normal for the legs to show yellow. I might be wrong, but it was just my observations... 🤷♀️
Crosshair and Tech (dark trooper ?) are the same height of 6’3 and Cody is 6 feet.
But I really think it is Cody not Tech as the Dark Trooper in fighting with Crosshair.
I'm open to whoever it is, and I'm enjoying the extended Clone story this season. But the show is called "Bad Batch" so I won't be surprised if it's Tech or a Crosshair clone.
imagine, if they did bring him back he won't be good ol' tech but someone who's more machine than man, it got me thinking that these operatives must have cyber augmentations to enhance their performance, maybe tech got a wee bit more than the rest
I see alot of people complaining that they want dead characters to stay dead. But did they have to kill the interesting character? Why couldn't they have killed Echo or Hunter? Idk they could have kept Tech into season 3 at least and kill him near the end.
It could be tech, and he could have died and been reanimated. I hope not, but it's possible.
Pretty sure Bariss was put back into the war and was with Luminara on Kashykk, so likely dead, but I kinda hope she survived
I'm Guessing when the empire Rose to power they freeded her from her cell
Odds are he’s a nobody, but if that were the case why would they show us him surviving?
I was right when people were saying "oh marrok is ezra or vader's secret apprentice" (forgot his name) when I said "nah he's probably nobody". I'm pretty sure CX-2 is going to be the same story. It's not tech or cody.
EDIT: on the whole "well why do they go out of their way to show him survive if he's just a random unnamed clone?"
- it's so that he can snitch on wolffe. Plain and simple.
I’d prefer if it was Cody. Because tbh having it be tech takes a lot of the stakes out of it and makes it feel cheap.
CX-2 is a Crosshair clone. Mark my words!
Agreed, I hate to gripe but there's too many loose ends with characters to have "nothing characters". But please just let people become one with the force...just tell us. I've wanted to know about Cody and Berus for decades now!
Hot take but I actually wouldn't mind if Tech was brought back. I do agree that most characters that die should stay dead to hold impact on the overall story and it is ridiculous to bring back characters from the dead left and right, but I'm only saying it would be nice to see Tech back because of the fact that we haven't seen the entire Bad Batch together since the beginning of the show and I love these characters a lot, so to see them all finally untied again would be nice but thats just my opinion
The Clone Wars Feloni ruined Bariss Offee, the hell with them.
Qui Gon coming back would be impossible anyway, didn't they burn his body? unless they do something crazy and pull some clone copout (i.e. starkiller, etc)
First of all, they cremated Qui-Gonn, so unless they resurrect a jar of ashes… that probably won’t work. Second, because it seems today’s writers lean on past plot journeys, I’m thinking the storyline goes: the assassin kills off the bad batch one at a time, then Omega gets retribution by killing the assassin finally. Then when the assassin is unmasked it turns out to be one of those characters. I hope not, but it seems more and more projects use storylines from past movie scripts, and just plug in their own characters.
I hope it’s just a random character (or maybe an old clone long forgotten, like Slick)
The assassin is Gregor
I kind of hate the idea that all characters need to be known, and all loose ends need to be tied off... why can't tech's sacrifice just be total? Or Cody's whereabouts just be unknown? Can't we just have CX-2 just be CX-2 and not easily killable like normal stormtroopers/clones. Why must all characters be either grunts or spartans? What's so wrong about having ODSTs (people you don't really know but are better than the average)?
Thinking the first CX assassin is Slick would be too obvious and the reasoning is a hair style? at the start of the war almost every clone had that hair style so it's not a very good indicator of anything tbh
I get the passion but sometimes character development isnt needed for filler. Those were just clones who made it thru a specops program. Empire style.
Something that a lot of fans forget is that there were literally millions and millions of clones, we only have maybe 50 clones that we have names for?! It has to stand to reason that there's a TON of unknown and generic clones, more so than ones we're familiar with.
That being said, Tech being alive and corrupted, yeah that'd be cool and a fun redeeming arc - it would redeem Crosshair in the eyes of his brothers during the same process.
I thought Bariss was the Inquisitor in Star Wars rebels
Disney Star Wars was set up to fail from the beginning. So much disjointedness. The order should have been.
1. Bad batch
2. Kenobi
3. Ashoka (her being out of the galaxy explains her missing from EPI IV
4. Andor
5. Rogue One
6. Mando
7. Sequel Trilogy with Omega return NOT Rey
I vibe with it being Cody more especially with the knife fighting and the fact we haven’t seen Cody. Tech is my second guess but I really hope it’s not him and I just don’t like the idea of it either being a random nobody or a freaking crosshair clone..
Hey man, just because there nobody doesn’t mean that they’re a waste nobody are cool and not every character needs his own story you could be a nobody and still be a good character and still be cool
Commander cody for sure
Last episode rex vs cody
Lmao Snoke was the biggest fake out they’ve done yet🤣
The assassin is a crosshair clone
Anakin Skywalker is still alive. We didn’t see his body, we seen his armor 😅
With the proper build up (that they now add after the fact) palps returning would have been awesome.
No he's a clone of crosshair. That's why crosshair is a bit shaky and tight lip.
I feel as though these clone assassins becoming nameless is a pretty good way of moving from the strong character individuality of The Clone Wars show toward the plain white stormtrooper blandness that the Empire demanded of their troops. Whilst as a fan of TCW I want to see more expressions of baddie characters, I think having them be simple tools of the Empire is an effective way of showing how different the Empire is to the Republic.
For Barris if order 66 happened she will sense what happened to her master, and she could feel it. She can escape through blackouts or breakout as a possibility. normally she would be handled by law.
The reveal will probably come in "the point of no return" as it is a 2 parter. That or the 1st part of the episodes.
They didn’t retcon asaij that book was legends
Slick is the agent
Its definitely Tech - I would be extremely surprised if not.
I would expect him to have suffered severe damage from his fall - so I'd imagine he's more robotic/machine hence how they've been able to turn him. It ruins his sacrifice but people who die on SW rarely stay dead.
Well seeing that he fell of a water fall and survived means he's important
Tech or not tech, I’m curious to know who this fella is.
Most characters should stay dead. Barris might get cover at some point, maybe Ashoka. Tech should be dead. Qui hon should be dead but be apart of a prequel extension or of obi wans training. Slick could have fit somehwere there but I think it’s better to have the assassins be randoms for sure.
Characters coming back from death has been a Star Wars staple since Vader came back in The Empire Strikes Back, like it or not, it is what it is
Wasn't it explained that following the destruction of the first Death Star Vader's TIE Advanced was picked up by a Gozanti or a Quasar? Hell, didn't Vader's TIE Advanced have a built-in hyperdrive? So it's very easily explained he jumped to hyperspace to link up with a nearby Imperial vessel.
I’d rather it be a nobody than tech. I hope it’s not tech because I’m over death not being death in shows. If you keep reviving everyone then why should I ever be sad about a character “death”? I personally think it will be cody as it would make sense with his disappearance from last season.
I feel like too many characters return from the dead, its like dragon ball z at this point.
