  • First published in 2006, Same Kind of Different as Me tells the true story of an unlikely friendship between well-to-do art dealer Ron Hall and Denver Moore, a man whose life began in brutally oppressive conditions on a Louisiana plantation. At the urging of Ron’s late wife Deborah, the men met at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, a Fort Worth homeless shelter that was more than the physical location that brought them together - it was the spiritual catalyst for the book’s story of hope, healing and change.
One of the most inspiring stories to come out of Fort Worth, Same Kind of Different as Me is now a major motion picture, scheduled for release in October 2017.
