What a great heart. Just watched the movie and I was deeply touched. This man had great wisdom. "It is the things we do for nothing that we keep forever!" "You must understand that the only thing that you get to keep forever are the things you give away!" Please watch the movie 'Same kind of different as me'!!

Just watched the movie 'Same kind of different as me' and I had never heard of this man or his story before. A part of me is broken and another is just awakened. I am just in awe of the works of God.

I have not read the book, but just watched this movie. I teared up through some of it. It's amazing the bond that they had. And Ron's wife told him not to give up on Denver and he didn't. Bless You Denver may you RIP.

What is most interesting is thst he is still alive while both the people who helped transform him are dead
It's an.ost like they both finished their work; but he still has the onus to remain here.

May his soul rest in peace.Yes we are all homeless, looking to find our way back to our Home, God's Home. I thank God for Jesus Christ who showed us His Great Love and I pray that every Christian truly follows His Great Teachings guiding others with love, just like Deborah did with Denver and the whole homeless community.. May their souls rest in peace✝️❤

So although he was older than her he continued to call her “Miss Debbie”...

It's a southern thing. I call my friend "miss Joy." Just always have she is married and my kids call her thst too. Just what you do. I don't know that she was younger than him or not. But it would not be unusual for him to be on a first name basis with the husband but use that respectful title with the wife. You don't understand southern manners. Being polite insures no one ever misinterpret the relationship. But its also about respecting other and it is simultaneously a term of endearment. Men use it with little girls too.
